The background music in this video (sounds like a space-style tune).  Is it just in the video or is it possibly a halo 4 ost track?

Looks great but one question. Can we turn off the lighting? it looks like everything you set down takes loading time when you switch between moniter mode and spartan mode.I just hope it dont slow down time when you have 100 pieces on screen.

Awesome stuff. REALLY wanted to see texture options. That was the real downer in Reach. Everything was gray... all the time. Different textures or color options would really help make maps stand out from each other more.

This looks amazing. I'm definitely going to invest some time into Forge. Halo 4 is looking quality.

I have a 360 but I'll say it again... Please just make one more halo for pc... It can be Reach, or even Halo 3... I don't care :(

Never owned a 360, and this game made me want to buy the console bundle. Now I'll have a PS3, and a 360. Honestly, I will have a hard time going back to the PS3. I always enjoyed playing Halo at my friends' houses.

A lot of this stuff (magnets, gravity zones) I was expecting to see in Reach. That game did not live up to my expectations. This looks pretty awesome. I might just send in my xbox for repair after being dead for 15 months for this game. Unless they MAKE IT FOR PC.

Very nice!!! I can't wait to play around in forge mode

I really want Halo 4 to continue the quality we are used to in Halo games.

I do have a 360 and i will be getting Halo 4, but i also really wish they'd make these games for the pc simply because if done right can double the online community. The game itself would be more refined graphicly yes, ( Lot of aliasing in past games ) but its not so much about that, but the fact that the PC more or less has no performance limits and is a full generation ahead.

With no budget in forge one could only imagine the possibilities. Completely linked community bettween the Xbox and PC. Forge, Muliplayer, Maps. Everything. The 360 would be limited to maps under the 10k budget, but people on their PC's could create maps well under that budget. Not better, but... more. Alot more. It would also be cool for the PC users to get a playlist set in massive 16v16 maps... But sadly we may not see anything like this... ever. Maybe one day though, huh? Once everyone gets their heads out of their asses?

I will hold them to an incredibly high standard for using the name Halo 4. I have all the hope in the world that this game will live up to the previous legends of the original Halo series, 1-3. By the looks of the videos and other information I've seen on this game, I am yet to figure out why it wasn't titled, "Halo Reach 2"

I would get this game if it was for the PC and not just for Xbox 360.  A lot of of the Halo games are for the Xbox 360 only which is fine.  But I am not going to get an Xbox 360 just to get Halo 4.  I haven't played a Halo game since the first one and thought maybe I would get back into this game.  It would be nice if they did put this game back on PC, but I guess that is just wishful thinking.

Looks amazing, I already have plans for this map they just showed. I'm going to make a moon base and have zombies spawn out side in low gravity and make the inside of the base normal gravity. I'm going to make it so the zombies have to breach the base, while the none infected have traps and baricades set up to help them survive. Looks better than I thought it would be can't wait to get my hands on this, this should be easily GOTY.

Traits zones are a little weird in my opinion. They're inexplicable areas that just randomly boost player traits. Where's the justification?

they should let you spawn covenant and marines and stuff

did  anyone notice that he jumped over the magnet crease he made with the two pieces? yeah.....

FedCom

@AnguishSouL I think that hiccup is just the system computing the lighting. So if you put those pieces down and swap back and forth by the time you got to 100 it shouldn't be a big deal. In theory.

@Jockingmystyle2 Wait, you think Halo 4, which chronologically happens after Halo 3, should be a sequel to a prequel to Halo 1? You win today, sir. You win!

@Cashmoney007 That makes sense to not want to get 360 just for Halo but trust me, there are plenty of awesome games you won't be able to resist buying on 360. Gears of War, Perfect Dark HD, and a a few other Halo games other than Halo 4 plus the Halo 1 remake is great too and probably a lot other stuff but I'm drawing blanks and keep thinking of games that are multi-platform. If you are an rpg-goer then there is Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyseey too.

@Cashmoney007 With a name like cashmoney it seems like getting an xbox would not be a major issue.

Good luck dealing with those compiling times and download time/ space wasting on consoles. This is the best way to do it on this platform.

@xSagez Not randomly. You choose what you want the trait zones to do.

@DantheMan9856 yeah but he then walked over the other magnet crease thing he also did (check at 2:33)

@FedCom yeah thats what i was thinking.i just hope its not like in reach when you have a crap ton of pieces down it glitches up and slows down.Plus installing H4 might help that issue too

My opinion is entirely based off of gameplay, not story. Halo 1 - 3 remained consistant to each other in its core gameplay style. Halo 4 may follow the story line of the Halo series, but its gameplay does not appear at this point, to follow the Halo series that is Halo's 1-3.

Cashmoney007

@smpratte This is all true but never really been a 360 fan.  I don't know what other game I would get if I even considering getting a 360.

FedCom
FedCom

Probably. Hard to tell if it has any of the same slowdown, sure looks like they've tweaked the engine quite a bit. With the lighting and magnet options I don't think I would even mind some slowdown like Reach had...still should be able to make better maps faster. I hear you though, hopefully they improved that too.

@Cashmoney007  @H0rizon  @smpratte I personally got a PS3 just because it had more exclusives that I was interested than the xbox did, I'm really hoping Halo 4 comes to PC, just got a new laptop and I'm hoping to finally get into PC gaming after being stuck on a $150 laptop for years.

@H0rizon  @smpratte It is always good to have fun on here and make people laugh.  I will say some of you make a good case for the Xbox 360.

I can tell you I bought the halo3 special edition 360 when halo3 came out along with halo3. I was a very happy camper and to this day I still have that 360.. and since then I have bought the reach controller and both alien and marine controllers. so, along with the green one it came with and the green 360.. my xbox is halo'd out and it pimp. I get alot of compliments on it.
