yes it is included i have the game and it is set up into 3 parts jamestown french and indian war i think and then revolutionary war after u finish those then there is a GC version for USA included
Wait...is this already included in the game? I went to the Total War AND Steam websites and neither mentions where I can download this!! What gives??!!
The biggest problem with these huge new strats' is that each time a new one is released you will need to upgrade several fundemental parts of your p.c before it will run them, and so what was good enough to just about run Supreme Commander a few years ago, is now not good enough for the next bout of Total War games..... Saying that, this looks good as long as it isn't impossible to advance enough to defeat the rest of the world before your turns are up?...
Just bought this game. It is definitely worth the price of admission. The graphics are SICK! I am not a huge strategy gamer, but I am definitely happy I bought this game.
I think I may get this for the American Revolution segment. I've wanted to play a game around that story line ever since I read about it in school and saw the History Channel's documentary of it.
Played the demo with pretty much all graphics at Ultra, glitches or low frames using an 8800GTS 512. So requirements are by no means "off the richter scale" Rest of the Machine is E8400 at 3.8, 4 gigs of Mushkin 1066
"Road to Independence" is a secondary campaign. There will be the "Grand Campaign" equivalent. But if I want to run this game, I need a new video card... badly...
I think the system requirements aren't so "off the richter scale". You can see them on the official site. PS: I played the demo already and the Naval Battle is amazing!
The only thing i'm worried about here is that the game looks ****ing amazing, no doubt about that, but it looks like the graphic requirements are gonna be off the richter scale! I only hope i'll be able to make it work properly, cuz this game looks so incredible.
DAMN I want this! Hahah, I knew it, this is exactly what I've been waiting for. Come to me baby! March 3rd!!!!!!
You people are amazing. It's just ONE component of the game. There's so much more to Empire: Total War. Leave it to ignorant people to turn this into an America bashing/Euro history frenzy. Get a life. If you want to show off your "intellect" go to one of the many history or warfare forums on the internet. This is a place for GAMING.
I'm honestly looking forward to the naval battles alone. I'm glad they added that unlike the the medieval II: Total War. Even though it was a great game, I hated not seeing people slaughter each other.
a swedish company made world in conflict and one of the best games i've ever played, and that games based on america
What do you think if Germans are making the game that is not going to be great we Europeans know more about your history then you about europe's history.
since I find it amusing some people are freaking out about one aspect of the game (American Independence), I'm going to go this route: IF I CANT WIN THE GAME AS NATIVE AMERICAN I'M NOT BUYING IT! AND THERE BETTER BE A NATIVE AMERICAN ON THE BOX! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE! ...haha
Great trailer, thanks! Can't wait for this, I've bought every Total War game since Shogun, props to CA! I wonder if this time, there'll be strategic elements of control over the networks and forces "behind the scenes"? Surely there must be a way to control the Freemasons and banking families funding both sides to create "order out of chaos", such as the Rothschilds, various occult Luciferian secret societies like the Bavarian Illuminati (formed in 1776) etc. I'll be disappointed if there's no way to control these key elements, especially as this period in world history was a FRENZY of occult activity! I expect to be building masonic lodges and erecting obelisks to help recruit (brainwash) my cannon fodder during my campaign for total world domination! ;)
d_kell411, the german war machine WAS better than the american. Germans were more efficient, had their entire industry geared towards war and had its entire male population as soldiers. And not to forget the inhumanity of the Nazi party and its elite troops. Also the german inventions, both those that saw combat and those that was only blueprint, shows that the german war machine was technologically far ahead of the allies and the russians. Unlucky them, they were pressed from all corners with the resistances of all invaded countries becoming more and more frequent and efficient in their sabotage missions.
Holy crap why are people freaking out. They just show ONE SCENARIO of the Revolutionary war. It's not the whole game. Dumb Europeans - maybe listen to the words in the video next time.
Release it Release it Release it Release it Release it Release it Release it Release it Release it Release it Release it Release it Release it Release it
I don't know why they had to put on the trailer, ... "american independence" ..or something like that - in stead if they the had put on the entire world history...it would have been the best presentation possible, the best of europe, asia, americas etc.....and IF THAT IS THE FRONT COVER OF THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I 'M NOT BUYING!!!!!!!!!
omg!!! finally! this is my 4th favorite game series man! i've known about this since about 7 months ago and it has been taunting me!!! -.-
Er, he was responding to someone who said he was going to beat England and then take London. Learn to read, Bobshop. This is fun.
I will play as the U.S.A and if it will let me, after I beat England, then I will take London and the rest of the world.
I will love this game i`m gonna play with Great Britain and Austria. With English i`m going to stop the creation of U.S.A and and with Austria i`m gonna fight against the Ottoman empire in Balkans
First, I'm drooling over this game. I'm a long time fan of the series, and this looks like the best yet. Secondly, this trailer is featuring either the tutorial or a scenario which is played separate from the main campaign, during which the U.S. wins the war for it's independence. After the tutorial (which can be skipped, if the previous games are any indication), the full campaign will begin, and you can choose from any of 20ish nations to play as. Thirdly, the U.S.A. is currently the only superpower, but it is most definitely not the first. Egypt, Greece, Rome, France, England, Germany, and Russia all enjoyed the designation of "superpower" at one point or another. The only time in history in which there was more than one superpower was during the cold war, when both the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. were considered to be so. This may happen again, however, as China is growing in prosperity and power, and could soon stand next to the U.S. as one of two superpowers.
I am so psyched for this game! Looks to be amazing. I have to say though, in no way is this game focusing more on the US... the 'Road to Independence' is just one of the scenarios you can play.
Nxss-effa-sim- It's the main story campaign for the game actually. Which is why everyone's pissed because America didn't play nearly as big a role in the days of the empires as the European super powers did. Who doesnt want to play as America! Sure there is a lot of history during the era that empire is focusing on but i think that this is only an element of the game. it seems so much larger. And Working with steam for online brilliant
