Danny goes on a trip to our irradiated future in this Fallout episode of Escape From Mount Stupid.
Did you enjoy this video?
Fall Out 3 is still a great game today with all the mods available for the PC version. I think the one reason I liked FallOut3 was that it was like revisiting Wash, Dc again and actually getting to see it all. FONV was also like seeing New Vegas of an earlier day. Lonesome road was like revisiting the park I camped at. FO4 is suppose to be in Boston, but I never really found anything up there worth seeing, so I dont know, perhaps a DLC to Phila for a historic tour. That would be grand. Either way, I hope a new FO comes out soon. I also hope that it's new engine is a 64 bit game engine so when modded it can actually run all those 3D textures and mods.
One of the Best Gamespot Shows so far :) I think this show should air as a tv series it would get more revenue :).
Please make an efms episode on Prince of Persia Series Danny :)
Please make a new fallout tactics game. So few of those kinds of games being made, it will sell lots more copies yeah? Maybe make other factions u can play not just the brotherhood steel hmm?
RIP - EFMS
Great show and really liked looking in to the history of some games as found out stuff, and some games, I never knew existed around my favourite titles. The format of the show was perfect and often laugh out loud so looking forward to The Point if the format will remain. keep it up Danny - you doing another 24hr marathon this year?
8:20 ~ 8:30. LMAO :')
No more ESCAPE FROM MOUNT STUPID... and I was getting comfortable on this SEASONS' episodes :(
This is getting way too long now :(
Fans of the show should probably give this video a gander: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJDZxMYO7AAI'm working on a brand new (weekly!) show and EFMS (in name at least) will be no more. Info in the vid.
It's my Birthday Danny!!!!!!! Why you no give me new episode!?!?!?!!?!? :'(
Thanks Danny, awesome job as usual.
Time to revisit Fallout New Vegas I think. Started playing Skyrim recently, so many design traits remind me of Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Personally I find Skyrim lacking a very important hook - the amazing universe. I'll get back to Skyrim at some stage, perhaps. Time to once again revisit the irradiated wastes!
I just love this series, so witty, so informative, so Irish...thanks Danny!
Fallout is without doubt one of the best game franchises in gaming history
Battletech Series please!!
Danny. Danny never changes.
Why is this now called "Escape from mt stupid"? I've been meaning to ask for a while, since I really liked the name "Bluffers Guide to..."
I liked FO but the video game industry is worth more than 80$Billion dollars a year, why is this feature still front tab? Surely there's more current news about the industry?
Just perfect !10/10
Apologies for bringing this up here, but: Where are new episodes of Random Encounter, Combo Breaker, and EFMS? It seems like RE and CB were killed off from our perspective :( I really hope that this is not true, because you fellows have brought a lot of joy to my time at work and beyond when I share your videos. Gamespot.co.uk redirects me to the US site, too :(
Hope you guys are still gainfully and enjoyably employed. I bought Pure Football, and as someone who does not follow sports, it is a damn blast to play that $5 game with my girlfriend.
HEY LETS ALL DO A KICKSTAR- lol
Funny, I just started playing New Vegas again for what seems like the 30th time the other day. Hardcore mode, very hard difficulty with the JE Sawyer mod ... it actually makes the game feel fresh and challenging with all of those weight restrictions, scarcity of ammo, dying of thirst, etc. It never seems to get old.
Hopefully Bethesda lets Obisdian do another sister project to go alongside FO4. Not to say that I didn't like FO3 (it was pretty good) it's just that it always felt like a giant amusement park compared to the grit and nuance presented in New Vegas.
i wish i was experiencing fo3 and nv for the first time. that was a game that fit my personality. not like these elves and troll games they keep churning out day after day. and the mobiles have just made it worse. 'dungeon looter', 'dragon killer', 'ogre mash' .. why is it always this crap? gimme some futuristic, post-apocalyptic, shadowrunning shit anyday over a fairy
The game is great, the only trouble during our enjoyment time is the lagg/latency then the bugs that crash/freeze the game/system...
Bleh, good times though!
Good job with the history..
Given how well put together the other games in the series are, I can certainly understand the negativity toward "Brotherhood of Steel," but I honestly really enjoy that one. Still. It had the attitude and atmosphere of other installments, but just played like more of an action game than a strategic turn/grid-based rpg or a first-person exploration adventure.
When I get a faster computer to play on, I can't wait to dive farther into Fallout 3 and New Vegas, though. I wanted those many years ago when they came out, and now that I have them on Steam, really looking forward to seeing where they go.
Fallout has been such a great series. Bethesda is a machine.
Danny, I think these shows that you do may be the best shows about gaming ever made. I love watching them. About this one... not sure if you mentioned it, but there was a Fallout MMO in development by Interplay for the longest time. Even after they sold the IP. Also, I think New Vegas has the largest amount of mods ever made for a game (although Skyrim will soon overtake that). Neverwinter Nights is also high up there... but I think New Vegas surpassed it. Nowadays I spend more money than ever before on games. Yet despite that, 99% of the time I end up playing mods for old games. Good mods take years to make, but always surpass the quality of original games.
I loved all the games. I grew up playing the first two. Years after, when 3 came out, I didn't know what to expect, but it blew me away. I can see why others would have issues with it, but for me, it was just amazing. Exploring abandoned vualts in first person, sifting through empty bottles and cans for loot. Yeah, games don't do looting like fallout 3 and NV (Except for TES). Played all of them on PC, and never had major issues with bugs. So my overall experience with the Fallout series is damn near perfect. I'm all for new and innovative games, but when it comes to a new fallout, I'll take it any day.
Watching this is like watching myself grow from a third person perspective, great game franchise and great show
"Chances are you're probably going back to give it another shot right now."
O_o That's freaky man. I had my steam games list pulled up to re-install New Vegas right as he said that.
war never changes it just adjusts
I love New Vegas! I want another Fallout!!
So. Damn. Good.
Great video, thanks :D
The reason why so many fallout fans hate Bethesda? Bethesda may do many things good, graphics, beautiful worlds, etc etc. However their games notoriously have sallow characters and lacking in atmosphere (I hated 100's of 2 sentences characters with 3-4 voice actors) severe game unbalances. You can't blame these to engine' errors etc. While Interplay and Blackisle's game were quite deep and had compelling stories (Baldur's gate 1-2, fallout 1-2 etc) complex game mechanics. So it is like whole 2 different game.
I wish game could be both good looking and more have context. well if not, there is still modding community thankfully
"The random encounters you'd have on the map..." Zing!
So what shall it be? Do you join the Unity or do you die here?Join! Die! Join! Die!
Great episode! Fallout is my fav series, been playing since the original!
Bethesda did a good job buying that frunchise. Now it looks more advanced.
In my opinion, Fallout is the best game series of all time
Great episode! I find myself eager to watch videos when I see Danny in it. I find his shows very entertaining. Still miss Start/Select though.... :(
Anyways awesome job Danny!!!
Fallout is my all time favorite! Visit http://callofdutygh0sts.blogspot.com/ to get beta access to COD:Ghosts! PS3, Xbox 360, PC all available to play now!
Great watch again! Thanks!
I start 3 weeks off work tomorrow, and planned to get 3 weeks solid studio time in... then i watched this... blacked out, then realised I just installed NV for another play through! Nice one Danny! ;-)
Another fine day in this man's army...
I loved Fallout 3, and decided to trade in my copy of it to get the GOTY Edition when it came out. Then I found out that the game is completely fucking broken and freezes often enough that it's practically unplayable. I held out for a patch, but it never came because Bethesda simply doesn't give a flying fuck about it's customers. NEVER buying another Fallout product ever again.
And as of today, I am still waiting for a Fallout 4...
I love the exploration of Fallout. Whether you come across a giant city littered with problems or a small den with a few corpses and a secret backstory, it's always interesting to explore the wasteland.
I really can not wait until the next Fallout. I'm holding my breath for an E3 announcement.
Well it's going to be interesting to see what Brian Fargo will do with the 3 million dollars fans gave him for his wasteland 2 project... As a fan of the original isometric system, I believe that Fargo will deliver a well told story, with deep involved characters and a great expanding open world game... Don't get me wrong, I like FO3 and FO NV, but as a fan of the original games I would have liked to see a game updated to be more similar to "The Fall: Last Days of Gaia" or something similar. I love Oblivion, and that's the reason I thought the capital wasteland was amazing. As long as they keep telling great stories, We've got nothing to fear from bethesda....
Who stared singing along at 0:44 ? xD
