personaly i prefer the ps controller
i like it when both sticks are on the same line and for some reason it is much more cofortable for me to hold the ps3 controller than the xbox 360
Anyone else notice how the PS4 controller looks like an Xbox controller from the top down view? SOny totally bit off MS
I have the Vita and every implementation of the touch pad on theback is stupid and sucks. Putting a touchpad on the controller is dumb...Sony sucks...
bring yare make game great differ lives differ carter like mortal kombat vs war gods vs in justice and steet figth and it be 5world fighting a gist chare other with blood bring voodoo which evil them do tag tem do your space moves like fatality moves nook off the roof nook in pool nook an where in blood ever where prunch them in the ball five people cound play this game it fun http://youtu.be/pwPrVzT2y5I
both ps4 and xbox one conntrolers look perfection in every detail can't wait to get my hands on them and make them work hard for me for people that dont like controllers go get fucked
Are people blind? Both controllers look ugly as hell, and yet idiots the world over are saying they look great...
I give sexbox props on the D pad. That was a cluster on the previous ones. I have always loved PS controllers so no big deal there. It still looks good to me. The touchpad thingy looks interesting
If they made the ps4 control bigger than that sounds great because of my big hands sometimes ill end up pressing the wrong button and screw myself once in a while on the ps3(its just that it worked out better before I hit my growth spurt).Thats why I like the 360 control for its larger size making it easier to get a better grip. Also i know for a fact that the majority can agree that the 360 feels more natural with most types of games except for fighting games.Im most definately getting the x1 but if I get the chance of playing the ps4 I hope they make a bigger size.
There's a reason for everything if you think about it, and when using the dualshock the appropriate way, it is the best controller ever made and if it aint broke don't fix it(Hence the same exact controller since the original playstation)...Some people just call it crap because it takes newcomers a longer amount of time to master than the Xbox controller. And yes the xbox controller is easier to handle, but the DS offers far more control and accuracy due to your thumbs having a much greater range of motion...noobs just don't know it. Oh and by the way...This is coming from a guy who's average K/D ratio is 3.45 in MW3 (4.50 in Free-for-all) on PS3 so don't give me that DS sucks at FPS crap. FPS are all I play...Ironic isn't it. So there you have it. That is the secret to the dualshock controllers.
This is also why the analog sticks are symmeterical. When you hold the dualshock the way it's suppose to be held your thumbs will naturally rest near the bottom of the controller and any asymeterical design would akwardly interfere with that natural gripping position. Your index fingers will naturally reside near the R1 and L1 buttons which is why PS users shoot with those instead of the triggers. When palming on the xbox 360 controller your thumbs are higher than on the DS which is why the asymmetrical design feels approriate, and your index fingers are further back which is why xbox user use the Trigger buttons, rather then the bumpers like on the DS.
The Dualshock controllers are all very good...when held the approriate way. A lot of gamers who are use to the 360's controller said the DS was too small, or too cramped, the handles were too short, it sucks at FPS and there thumbs kept hitting each other, and blah blah blah. These are obvious signs that you don't know how to hold it or you arn't skilled enough to handle the controller. The biggest mistake people make is palming the controller. Here's a secret...The DS was not meant to be palmed but gracefully held by your fingers. That's why the handles are small because only your middle, ring, and pinky fingers were meant to grip the handles while the rest of the fingers control user inputs. Not only does this give your palms and thumbs more space to maneuver, but that extra space also increases the amount of control and accuracy a player has during first person shooters, then when your palming.
bring this game backhttp://youtu.be/stYMjSOxk70
Xbox controller is much better imo. I disliked the Ps1 controller from day one. Same friggin thing again, but modded. Whatever.
I will havta go with the ps4 controller simply because im used to the directional buttons and find them much easyer to use in games then the xbox stick apart from COD which to be onist kinda bores me now because they have simply been played OUT!
I Just didnt enjoy the Ps3 controller as much as the Xbox 360. Both system are great but Xbox One Controller does the job for me.
I use ps3 controller on PC, too, for games like Dark Souls, but in general, I much prefer the 360 controller. With the focus on the trigger feedback, this may be the case again in next Gen.
dualsahock 1234 best controller!
xbox 360/ one when hold feels good but when actual playing is crap! the left stick feel uncomfortable when rotate around like it doesnt align well with our natural thumb grid because its upper the dpad which resulting in cramp feel like pulling up car seat way near the wheel or riding on a bike with very high handles that your arms cant really reach it or like white people holding a fork and spoon with their whole bear palm instead of their finger. theres also a mid loop on the center of the sticks which also makes the rotating around feel unatural because it dont sync with our thumb grid. sticks should be on bottom like dualshocks because it sync with our thumb well. Wii U left stick on upper dpad too but atleast it doesnt have a loop on the center of the stick and its overall feel better than the xbox 360 sticks,
360 dpad press foward ryu jump. not good for fighting gamers. and thats why most people in online fight sucks on 360 version because the majority use the controller. while on ps3 its dualshock copntroller is perfect for fighting game and im even better on dualshock than arcade sticks.
now the xbox one controller change its crap dpad..... dont know yet if it will improve or not. but the fact that the sticks looks the same and the overall of the controller looks very similar to the xbox 360 is probly gonna be the same crap play because of same crap layout. it also looks bulky and heavy like 360. i play videogames alot and i want a light controller.
the problem i have with dualshock 3 is dualshock 2 feels much better when hold. i dont know how! but it is! the shapes and everything looks the same but dualshock 2 feels better on hand than dualshock 3! and i have always wanted a bit slight bigger version of dualshock controller and now dualshock 4 comes..... the two handles is longer! and seems slight wider! which will resulting in better gripe! the handles longer in length is the main core to make the controller better! at first the touchpad didnt wow me....... but after seeing developers just flick their thumb on the pad to throw a grenade which makes it very simple to use! i thought the touchpad was only used for long fingers only but turns out it is used by thumbs! which is very effective and comfortable! idea of you can go into rage mode by thumb flicking on the touchpad is very easy to use! touchpad will have so much potential for developers ideas! many people bitch bout dualshock 3's R2..... but i really like it! it feels like a real trigger which is great for shooting games! and i always use R2 to shoot in killzone 3 and resistance 3. games should make the R2 as default for shooting. uncharted 3 dont even have option for R2 to shoot. everybody copying CODs default controller by having R1 as shooting.
Dualshock controllers best! xbox controllers is big but cant fight. just like those big punks acting all hard but cant fight. because the layout is crap.
Worthless. I learned nothing I didn't already know from articles I've been reading for two weeks.
What I REALLY want to know is if the PS4 is significantly better than PS3 Dualshock. I'd also like an unbiased opinion from someone that has actually played with both - not a run down of specs.
@joesguy u look thick
@MS08TEAM PS4 controller is OCD friendly.
@vendetta1010 Good looking D-Pad, adjustments in size and placement of toggles, rumble effect in the palms and triggers, pressure feedback in the triggers and toggle sticks, lowered buttons for faster clicking, Kinect sensor able to pick up the tracking, motion and distance of the controller; yeah, have fun with your start and select buttons.
@AskanTaleUmmm.... http://cnettv.cnet.com/8301-13489_53-57448513-10389930.html XBOX controller beats Sony with 51% of the vote and Sony gets 38%.
So you are wrong
@AskanTale That's your personal preference, however. I much prefer where the left toggle is on the Xbox controller.
gonna have ta chilla for a bit ah.
@Sepehr1395 I'm sure it'll be awesome to use on my PC. You know, where people who don't like paying 100$ more for a fucking Kinect can use it :)
@Sepehr1395 So you've tried both already?
I've always wanted to go to E3
@JynxGSpot @AskanTale thats right personal perference and thats all that matter. you got personal perference.... he got personal perference..... i got personal perference so people need to stop fighting each other for different perference and just share to each other perferences nicely. no need to fight. all bout sharing experience and impression not fighting.
@Ophenix1 Exactly. For the first year at least post launch this is the only way a One controller is getting into my household: if I can use it on my PC. I won't be buying an Xbone until they sell it without the Kinect and allow users to upgrade the internal hard-drive.
