E3 2014: The Witcher 3 Stage Demo
Cam is super excited to bring you some new footage from The Witcher 3 on our E3 2014 Stage show.
I would love a "prone" option. Imagine a huge monster and you dont want to fight It, you prone, you stay still until It dissapears. That would be awesome.
Is it just me or this video is not that impressive? At the very beginning where the camera was being rotated around the character, what is up with the graphics glitching? I hope that gets fixed because that's super annoying. Not sure what the technical term for it is but is it "tearing" because the game engine is attempting to keep the frames rate at a high number? If they fix that then I'm sold, otherwise I'm not all that impressed.
I really want to go back and play The Witcher 1 again... It just requires a lot of time. I'm also reading the books now for the first time.
The graphics in this are a world ahead of everything else. Not just the detail, but the movement of the creatures and people. So often you watch these big budget games and it immediately looks computerised and unnatural. This really has modern movie style movement and realism which brings these creatures to life.
Great job by them and I'm sure I'll give this one a go when it's released.
After all that hype, I must admit I'm not that impressed. Gothic 3 on ultra settings looks even, maybe better. And what's up with vsync? It's the PC version after all....
omg that creature so amazing :D
those face experssions , DAT SWAMP
I need a moment ... my eyes are sweating again...
I gotta admit that I'm a little mad that they did the closed doors demo thing again this year. Hope they don't keep doing this all the way until launch.
This "stage demo" was horrible. Interview more like it. Why aren't they showing something else? I want to drool over amazing stuff. :)
og god, I hope they add ambient occlusion and some on date effects to the pc Version ... I am unsure if this will still look decent in year ... seems they are really late with that ...
Solid interview, I won't go into detail about how excited I am, lest I start squealing like a little girl.
Having not liked TW1, this looks REALLY good. But... It makes me sort of mad because I just spent a bunch of money on a 280x, but that's probably not going to do well at all running a game like this.
There's dismemberment, mean's I'm probly gonna have to import to Australia to not get a shitty cencored version.....
Can't believe there aren't more comments on this right now.
Game deserves all the love and hype certain users are giving it.
Witcher 2 was great. Witcher 3 has potential to be best game of the decade.
@rdwolf260 Its because the game is SO technically demanding its very difficult for video players not to make it look like poop..
@Pelezinho777 You must be blind as a mole if you compare gothic 3 graphics with witcher...
@Pelezinho777 Gothic 3 is light years away from TW3 graphics.
@Pelezinho777 We don't know what graphics settings they had it on, maybe they had them on default. It would have been nice if they would have turned on V-Sync before showing this demo.
@saltful Yes, it would have been good if they showed us what the settings were in the menu. Still looks great though, especially when you compare it to the Xbox One demo.
@C0nv3rsE_VIP Yes, it is the last title of The Witcher triology
@MuddVader I wouldn't worry about that... it's one of the higher end cards available, and better than what the next gen console have to offer. It most definitely won't be running on ultra settings, but it should perform well enough, I would think!
@MuddVader I feel ya bro, I have a 670ti and it run TW2 1080p about 40-60fps on ultra but this game is double if not triple the detail so I have no chance:( guess it's one of the console version for me.
@Psycold Swimming under water is something I wanted to know about it's cool it;s in the game.
@SteXmaN Yeah, baby!
@Skalponesis Gothic 3 with latest CP? Check again. Anyway, that open world with no loading screen is also G3 highlight.
@jayjay444 @Psycold Yea solid interview indeed, and I'm really surprised they're including swimming/diving, I really did not expect that. Hopefully they can make it interesting because it's usually a fairly boring mechanic in games imo. I'm imagining some of the great underwater ruins and coral reefs their artists can whip up and I'm liking the idea!
@cugabuh PS - Read all the books from The Witcher universe, a true gem of modern European fantasy.
@nl_skipper @jayjay444 @Psycold Normally I would agree with you about swimming/diving being boring however it was really fun in GTA V and it was really fun in the old Tomb raider games, I can picture me hunting a monsters only for it to go into an underwater cave and me having to dive after the beast this opens up a hole new way to hunt monsters from previous Witcher games, looking forward to it:D
