E3 2014: LittleBigPlanet 3 Announcement Trailer
LittleBigPlanet is back with a new cast of playable plush characters for the PlayStation 4.
If this is half as much fun as LBP2 than I am buying it. I loved both LBP and LBP2. I like the controls and the originality of the games, the music and the user generated content. These are games you can play forever with excellent replay value. LBP3 looks even more refined.
These games have always been more fun to watch someone else play than play yourself. Controls are too floaty and the puzzles get repetitive.
Project Spark>>>>>Little Big PLanet x 10000
was a fan of the series but project spark offers way more
Looks... awful, really. I remember being super hyped when they announced LBP2 and I loved the game, but I'm not even remotely excited for this game. Everything they showed in this reveal could have been added as DLC for LBP2 easily. There's no reason why it should be a separate game other than to give people a reason to buy a PS4, which is pretty stupid.
Little Big Planet 2 is one of my favourite games on PS3 but I'm split minded about this. How will the three other characters work for single player for example?
Overall I will still grab it, but not sure it'll hook me like the last two.
@megantereon You really think so? From the stage demo I get the idea the game is less polished, and that music was just painful.
@kingkoopa009 Both are great games in different ways.
@kingkoopa009 They are not even comparable. Apples and Bananas. Both are great games.
@kingkoopa009 How about no
@Tiwill44 In all I don't think any Little Big Planet 2 DLC pack contained content on a scale this game is offering. So saying it should be DLC for LBP2 is a tad silly.
Does it look great? No, I will agree on that.
However; so long as it links between the other two games (confirmed in announcement) I'm ok with that.
Perhaps before judging too harshly? Wait and hear more about the game changes before release which I assume will be delayed to mid 2015.
You must also take into consideration this game is being developed by Sumo Digital, not Media Molecule.
@RSM-HQ Wait... so it's not developed by Media Molecule? Well that would certainly explain why the reveal was so disappointing. They usually put love, effort and passion into their games... this one looked very uninspired. Glad I can write this one off, definitely not gonna be worth my time if it's not even made by MM.
It's like they took LBP2, removed all the charm, added a bunch of new DLC gimmicks and released it as a full new game. Ugh, I just hate it when good franchises get milked to death.
@Tiwill44 Well sadly I've known Sumo was doing this game for awhile, Mm haven't actually had anything to do with Little Big Planet since the Move pack. They basically gave it to Sony for any developer.
Sumo Digital created the last major DLC pack, which brought some reasonably cool features. But at the cost of basically glitching 50% of the decent community levels made and damaging create mode in general.
Overall they have much trust to earn with LBP3. Time will tell, but so far I'm not all that impressed either :<
