The point of an analogue stick has been totally lost on the guy driving in this video.

Looks a little more arcadey than I was hoping for but I'll keep an eye on it nonetheless.

bring back the handling physics from the first game and put a lot more touring car mode and i will be happy. The 2nd game is easily the worst sequel i've ever played.

just hope the handling is exactly like the first grid, grid 2 was an unmanageable mess

All Codemasters' games have the same arcadey physics. It looks nice but I always facepalm at their gameplay footage. Colin McRae 4 (2-4 were amazing)was their last great racing game, many years ago.

I love GRID, however I own Forza 5 on XB1. Where's my incentive to buy this game on last generation? I don't think I'll be getting this sadly.

Nick sucks at this game.

Wait, Codemasters don't publish their own games anymore?

Grid just keeps taking a step backwards. The first one was brilliant and was perfect with a steering wheel, the second one had the interior dashboard camera view removed and it was next to impossible to drive with a steering wheel (it really was made for gamepads only) and now this Autosport release doesn't look too appealing either.

Grid 2 is an awesome game. But I need to be convinced if I should get another Grid.

We should just use racing games for sustenance and eliminate food and air all together.

the truth is, if you look closly, you see the car is turning around its middle, like its spining on a stick, while a car would have two Pivots its movments are based on while simulating it in games ... its basicly turning around its to axes, depending on how much force is applied through wich ... ofc, good games simulate the movment more based on the four tires the car is conected to the ground with

I mean, why is it that games literally going backwards in its evolution?

dirt.2 was already pefect in every aspect, why not building on up from there, why going back? (consoles!)

sorry for quality but this was 5 years ago, can you believe it, and its so superior to the games as of now !

@SPBoss In Grid 2 the dashboard camera can be re-enabled on the PC through the .ini file, it is very easy to do if you look up how. I forget what their reasoning was for taking it out but I think it had to do with console performance or / and lack of use. If Autosport only has grand prix like tracks I'm out.

@wilhelmut oh dear. If you think GRID 2 is awesome, you should buy GRID 1. It's 100x better than GRID 2

@wookiegr it is GRID 1 and 2 in one single edition (both cars and tracks) with improved driving mechanics and realistic damage. Plus you get the cockpit view in this one.

@kingjugganott this isn't a direct video feed. It's a camera recording a TV. It usually doesn't look this bad.

@hitomo

It's not rotating around a single point, it only looks that way because of the camera's perspective.

Dirt 2 was garbage. Yeah, the physics and stuff might have been okay, but the actual racing events sucked and everything good was removed in favor of the X-Games bullshit.

@hitomo I don't think Grid was ever meant to be a simulation racer, more of an arcade style, but good eye for details.

@scbond @CharlesBurns I have to disagree. GRID 1 was a pretty realistic game. Depends on what settings and drive assists are enabled. This game can go from Arcade to Sim.

@themc_7 @scbond @CharlesBurns I don't think GRID was even close to a real sim. Of course it was much much better than these pieces of nonsense coming out, but its not a sim. Once you play real sims, you just know the difference. It's closer than GRID 2 and (from what I see) GRID Autosport.

@undercover30 @themc_7 @scbond @CharlesBurns Most of these games can become highly realistic with their assists disabled. Manual transmission, ABS and stability control OFF, Braking assist OFF, etc. you slip and slide like butter if you don't corner, brake and accelerate properly in GRID
