Everybody is screaming Uncharted. I really dunno why the comments are heading that way BUT it sure feels like the original Tomb Raider to me. The feel of getting lost of what to do next.
Does anybody know the new voice actor of Lara? It has been announced the Keeley Hawes will not be returning on this one. But the gameplay sure sounds like her, not sure though.
is it just me or does the guy at 5:25 say, "trying to help you" but really fast. cuz thats what it sounded like if u speak gibberish.
Her hair was flying in a funny way throughout the gameplay...Gotta say, the way I was impressed with the trailer movie graphics the gameplay graphics isn't as great as that! I think they should work more on the hair cause it looks pretty stiff unrealistically! But anyways, I'm eagerly waiting for this release...Lets hope for the best!
She sure did talk to herself a lot but I would to if I was stuck in a creepy spot like that. Looks pretty dang good so far. Gotta follow this one.
I understand that in this game they wanted to portrait a vulnerable Lara but, between all this blood and scream, is like a sadistic snuff movie... ...i almost feel sorry for her. Ouch! They cought me with they devilish marketing moves! :D
this was pretty cool tho even thought they didnt show any fighting...but....i wont get it over uncharted
tomb raider died with ps1.....i dont see why anyone would get this when there's uncharted....unless your rich and another $60 wont mean much to you most people just get the best and leave the rest.
Lara Croft is BACK. Don't even go and say this is anything like Uncharted, because if anything Uncharted is anything like Tomb Raider. Lara Croft will always forever be better than Nathan Drake.
You know the company is going for a more gritty and mature tone when they decide to not to make Laura look like a gleaming sex symbol for 14-year-olds. She is definitely a lot more believable in this one.
.......is it me or does this scene remind you of Uncharted with a Heavy Rain atmosphere. either way i'm sold so far...after seeing the combat mechanics of the game i will finalize my decision on whether to buy it or not, but looking extremely intriguing so far...
Might take a while to get used to the new Lara. The old was a badass foxy female who shot everything in sight. This one is soft and more feminine
I think they should tone down how much Lara talked to herself, but other than that, this is the best thing I've seen at E3 so far.
-Is it Fall 2012 yet? -Is it Fall 2012 yet? Awwww... Anyway, this looks very good, sounds very good, feels very good. I actually think that Lara looks more realistic now. I mean, just by looking at her and listening to her, I know she's younger and not the Lara we know. But that's the purpose of this game, says me, to implement a new past in Lara's life. It looks beautiful and immersive. The gameplay doesn't even seem to have changed much, apart from the new "survival instincts" and some details, which is good in the view of long time TR follower like myself. This is just from seeing this demo though and it's just my opinion. I'll have to wait and see, although I can't wait! -peace ;)
I can see Uncharted's Nathan drake in her movement style and Final fantasy character in her voice and face... o_O
Ooh, really liking the look of this actually. Wasn't at all keen on her voice in the trailer but I like it during gameplay. Also yay, main character who actually gets hurt loads and it shows. Too few games have that imo. Really excited to see the more open world stuff! :)
QTEs and needless cutscenes (like dropping from hanging). Still, I love the look and style of the game. I like the use of torches (reminds me of Shadowgate). Though, I have to say, this is laughably derivative of Uncharted. Hell, at 5:45, there's a blatant copy of Uncharted's textbook "hanging precariously by one hand" gimmick. Kinda ironic, though, given that Uncharted is derivative of Tomb Raider.
