E3 2011: Sony Press Conference

first off all I only own and play PS3, that said, Nintendo brought a game changing innovative new system that uses transparent touch screen controllers. The WiiU won the show hands down, followed by M$ with their kinect upgrades and incorporation of voice commands, The biggest loser this year Sony who brought nothing spectacularly new to the table this year. A new psp with 2 analog sticks and a touch screen tied to At&t is still just a psp2 in bondage not a true innovation in the future of gaming. They have done nothing to upgrade their bread and butter PS3 except remove OS add 3D and many annoying security patches the PS3 is stagnant while kinect is allowing the Xbox to have more functionality than ever before and Nins WiiU is set to add a whole new dimension to motion control with their tricked out touch screen controllers. The PS Move adds nothing to PS3 mostly it just sits on store shelves. Move is not and never will be a must have item. It doesn't enhance PS3 any more than a standard Wiimote would. Sony has failed in the motion control war coming in dead last, They will never sell as many moves as Wiis or kinects they might as well scrap move and try something new. Just the facts not my opinions.

And thats why sony is the best!

they should have used that extra disc space on BF 3 for PC like multiplayer (60 players) instead of a year or so old game (BF 1943)

the vita looks great but i really wish sony would be infront with ideas. seems they rip off nintendo alot. at&t broke my heart there as well

@LightRebellion uncharted alone beats anything that M$ and Nintendo shown plus psvita is way batter than M$ and Nintendo systems

As a fan of Sony, they disappointed me, Microsoft wasn't better. From these 5 conferences, Ubisoft had the best one this year (unlike the last year, where their were by far the worst).

Nothing in this year's Sony conference compares to the WiiU/3DS and Kinect. They are consistently at a distant third in videogames. Their only killer apps are Uncharted and God of War.

That was much better than Microsofts conference. Best parts for me were definitely Uncharted 3, God of War PSP games coming to PS3, Vita's price and the Vita Uncharted game. Good job, Sony.

Meh was ok pretty boring, Uncharted looked sweet...resistance look crap...Vita yeah what ever, ending was stupid with the drums and stupid DJ. 3d is yeah whatever. Thank god 3d is on it's way out for the cinemas... Microsoft was better, Better start and Finish. Now to watch Nintendo

Sony sure did steal the show at this years E3

um.... I am not sold to the PS3. I think I am going to stick with the X-Box. Not a fan boy by the way. I have played stuff on the PS3 but, I don't like the remote and I am not hot on 3D. Price for a good size TV is still way expensive and I hate having to put on the glasses (give me a headache specially with my normal glasses). Still, kido to Sony for trying to push 3D on the market. If they can come up with a 3D TV without the glasses and affordable; I will buy the PS3 and give it a try. Also, I like the gun remote. Great for FPS.

Anyone know the name of the song in the beginning during the montage of games where it goes " I was only playing" I looked it up but couldnt find anything. Would it just be part of the montage?

I have no idea why the hell is UC so over hyped. It isn't a bad game but not challenging at all. Easy puzzles, no brainers, no challenge in fire fights nothing. I have played both the UCs so far and they had nothing great except good graphics. Now Dark souls is something which I am really looking forward to.

wow, Uncharted 2 trumped Uncharted in pretty much every single way possible. Now Uncharted 3 looks simply incredible, I don't know about the little scene with the spiders I saw (I hate spiders lol :P) but I cannot wait to get this game.

2 uncharted and psp vista and a far cry 3 this is awesome

its just my or they forget to tell us more about most of huge ps3 games

ahhh... the irrational games bioshock bit has me really nervous.. I trust them as producers whole-heartedly. I just don't trust the 3rd party input.

Uncharted 3 looks like a movie...

good show, I could care less about the console but the vita looks sweet. Just hopefully they get a good game lineup. Uncharted looked good, but touch screen controls for some of the things slowed down the gameplay. I am getting tired of slow motion to make things look good, just make them fast paced, it will be more fun. Ruin looked okay, kind of Diablo like, but without the health and magic bars? It was lacking some content, but it's probably still in early developing. LBP fun as always. And do I hear a 3DS price cut coming? Also, a fail on Sony's part, WHY AT&T??? If I don't have to buy a plan for it I then I won't care, but my guess is you will, Sony why do you think Apple went with Verizon as soon as their contract was up with AT&T?? At least do a dual partnership with them both. That's my opinion, can't wait to try this thing out. Hope the hype is real.

Im getting the PS Vita!!!! Can't believe they were able to get that much power in a PSP shell. over 2 years of super top secret development.

If I'm honest, it doesnt make me say WOW at all. Its just the same thing but the NGP did make me say WOW though, cant wait for that. He didnt seem pleased about the sales of Move(cuz its rubbish) but the best thing was the Uncharted demo and thats it. What a waste of time!

No one cares about Glasses 3D, but Personal screen splitscreen might possibly be the best gimmick ever created. Also, 499 for the bundle sounds VERY generous. Touché, Sony.
