All I could stare at for the whole video is the heavy breathing Raiden on one of the background PCs.
"Paulofcj"he is right in a way u know......i mean whats the point bying a console specific for a game if later they announce it multiplatform.the video game industry will die if companys keep doing these kind of things....there will be no point bying a console in later years if they keep making all games multiplatforms.
DKant: why taking so much time and space complaining about something that more than half of the gaming population will just love and enjoy... i strongly suggest you to burn your consoles and start your very own video game company...
Posting again to get around the word limit. Also, transfarring is only going to make game development more expensive, while keeping your options restricted to whatever platforms the developer choses on a whim. Right here, I don't think transfarring will work between a 360 and a PSP. It is not that it's impossible, it's just been artificially restricted. What we should be moving toward is device-agnostic gaming. Instead of doing that, this is only increasing the number of devices on which you can play a COUPLE of games, without fundamentally changing how the games work. Basically, this simply connects the ports of a game on different machines, together. This could have been done 10 years ago, really. It's shocking that this is being put forth as a novel concept by Kojima. I mean, KOJIMA! You expect so much more.
My god, this entire video was SO awkward! Why did they have to do the weird 'they're speaking in Japanese, but you're hearing it in English in REAL-freaking-TIME!' thing. This was SO utterly weird and useless. Just do the usual "Question in English", "Pause with translator", "Response in Japanese - dubbed in English" routine. It would have worked SO much better minus all the awkward almost scripted-looking exchanges between the interviewer and the Kojima Production guys. This was awful. Yech. And moving on to the actual content, that was disappointing too. For all the hoopla over transfarring, they couldn't even make it happen over Wi-Fi? What age is this stuck in? Besides, making different versions of games for different platforms that work together sounds cool in concept, but seems like a step backward. This has got NOTHING to do with cloud and what-not, and this really should have happened in the PS2-PSP era, refined with the PS3-Vita and finally moved into the cloud PROPER with PS4 or possibly further years into the PS3. And I can't believe they are thinking like this, 'on the device' in Japan, rather than thinking in the 'cloud', especially when - as far as I know - the state of wireless is far better than in the US and other countries. Somehow this has been a very disappointing day for me. First Id starts talking about restrictive DRM, discouraging used game sales etc, then I had to sit through this. Sound bytes from two of my favorite developers, bumming me out. Man.
People who are asking about trophies, the ps vita supports it so ur gonna have to get that mabye im not so sure
So I can play MGS2 and MGS3 on the PS3 and continue them later on my PS Vita? Hideo, you are a genius.
interview was great. in all honesty i was supposed to meet him as well at e3. went and brought new "duds" and all. but found out a week before the event that it wasn't going to happen. anyway actually looking forward to hear more news about rising, and the new project.as well as hopefully meeting him next year.
That was irritating beyond belief to watch, at least they had good news. I hope gamespot isn't going to be doing things in this style, because its not funny, disturbing actually. But good interview, just leave out the humor..
so my question is...if i dont have peacewalker on psp...i should be able to play it with this collection on my psp right?
I am really excited for the HD collection of mgs because i missed snake eater but i was so disappointed when i found out that there was no info on mgs rising this E3 but oh well i have been waiting two years so whats one more right.
uh.....cool.. yet disturbing at parts too. Gamespot is trying to copy G4TV's weird comedy, but they failed, leave it to the professionals at G4TV.
So these HD collections support trophies. Lets say i have peace walker for psp and ps3, and i transfarr my ps3 version save file to the psp and continue playing. how can i continue earning those trophies on the psp version when it doesnt support trophies?
I said a few months ago that I would kill for them to make ZoE HD ports! For everyone who's excited right now... You're Welcome!
I Don't Care About This Anymore Since I've Got Both PS3 AND XBOX360 I Can Play MGS And I Can Play Gears 3 !! :D
i have original copies of all the mgs titles but would love to have them all on a disc and PS3/NGP ready. but most of all im glad to see that hideo is working on something totally new, as much as i love MGS i really want to see him branch out.
Oh my gawd!! I so hope this comes out. Now I will be able to play all that I missed out on. I love MGS4!!!
@levent18 Mass Effect 2 was a Xbox 360 exclusive too... and now you could play it on the PS3, and i think that is awesome, because you could play a game that you wish so much to have it on you platform.
THat dudes one skillful dude, he can make the alert sound with no sweat and can speak or at least understand japanese,
Transfarring sound like it might be actually pretty cool if I was much of a travel gamer. I don't know if I'm going to really use it myself though, I honestly am thinking I won't because I rather have a real life away from home, but maybe long road trips and stuff like that... I'll probably also wait till the NGP comes out and use it with that though since there will be duel analog sticks. I the right analog is almost like a must for me... Anyways...good job Hideo for making another game [pakage] that I'm going to need to get in November. Pretty glad I didn't get to far in MGS2 yet now. I recently started that for the PS2. Rather play it in the HD remake now, since there will be one.
