so sad !! they **** up NEVERWINTER .... bioware did a gr8 job on neverwinter 1 , then atari came and throw it to the grounds .. i'll never play neverwinter again .
I never really cared about graphics in a rpg. Important thing is the races. Humans, elves, dwarfs, gnomes, orcs, halflings and etc. And character kits. Thieves, rangers, druids, monks, fighters, barbarians, mages, sorcerers, paladins... These are the elements that makes a rpg game rich. Accomplish these and my money is yours.
Please don't be an MMO, please allow full off-line use, please, please, please, don't be vaporware. I'm still playing NWN1 and using the Aurora toolset... I need something new!!!
"It's not an MMO in the sense that there aren't zones with hundreds-and-hundreds of people. You are not fighting for spawns. There's a very strong storyline throughout the game. So it's more of a story-based game closer to things like Dragon Age or Oblivion, which we really try to follow" - wikipedia
Well, they better deliver something good after the turkey that was Star Trek Online. The name Neverwinter is big, but this is not a Bioware game, but Cryptic and they have not created a single game I like so far.
I am curious but very cautious. I like Neverwinter stuff (thanks bioware). But what i have seen so far is limited and uninspiring....will wait for player reviews.
Man this game looks cool! I hope it's as cool as this game right here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiSefZgxWRE
You want to allow players to play a new and original story in a well known and heavily developed background, create a cataclysm. You want to bring your own stuff without completely destroying the deep roots of the story, create a cataclysm. You want to milk the cow for more money, but have no real way of adding content for it, create a cataclysm.
A bit interesting, however, as someone else said...its Cryptic...Atari just dumped Cryptic and bought by Perfect World. Perfect World = Kings of Free to Play...I dont think this bodes all that well for Neverwinter Nights...which is sad because having user created content accessed from in a persistent world is interesting given the great user created content that has been generated int eh past.
Curious about this game. But still its Cryptic and they get me interested every time just to be a big disappointment every time :( I really hope this one won't be like that cause the idea is great.
Now this like D&D game which is graphically proficient, I don't understand why they release D&D :daggerdale
