this MS guy is terrible. he didn't sell the new machine as much as the GS guy had to ask so many questions. i love the new 360, but this was an awful pitch from a MS rep.
i hate this marketing benefit statement like ''ready for Kinetic suport'' or somth like that. so the old consoles won't support the kinetic? What, the white consoles wont go so much with the kinetics piano black color? it looks cool the console itself has a good ventilation unlike the older versions witch made me wonder how the hell didn't they think of this before? a multi billion company who has thousand of testers and engineers who not once think off : hey lets poke some bigger wholes on it because he's damn sure used to air. At the firm where i work we have HP scanners, printers, etc point is on the exact year maybe month when the waranty expires they break down. Quality speaks for itself no doubt about it and that whats makin you buy another hp after the old one broke down.....im not talking in terms of conspiracy im just sayin.... after all if my box will break down i surely not going for other consoles but because i dont pay for the games just download them
Sweet! The fans on my old 360 were loud and annoying, and so was the RROD. RROD still is NOT inevitable, but its very unlikely to happen. But I still hate the power brick.
I traded in my old xbox and 20 gb hard drive with controllers and got this new one for 150. I think it was worth it. The wi-fi adapter and the 250 gb external hard drive alone amount to around 120-150 as it is.
This is going to be epic. The main flaw with the orignal xbox 360, was it was too dam loud! Now they have fixed that. I am confident there will be no RROD problems, as the reason for the failure rate was actually because the cooling system was built poorley leaving the chips to be overheated and fried meaning RROD. Now it seems they have demoted alot of time and effort into fixing the flawed fans and cooling system and we have a perfect console
Hate that guy who does interviews. He's so awkward to watch and looks like he thinks of questions on the spot. He can't interact with people very well :\
"It is smaller. The new Xbox 360 does consume less power than the consoles that are out there today." By "others" he means other Xbox 360, right? I'm really looking forward bying another console, and think i will go for Xbox (rather than PS3). But what's up with the power brick? It wont fit in my room. There is no space for that thing.
The console is quiet when you have a game installed but when the drive is on, the thing definitely isn't "whisper quiet" anymore.
'thanks for having me?!' 'lets checkout the backside?!' 'different power suppply so that you dont confuse the old and new?!' Lol - these guys are hilarious!
The same chip doesn't mean red ring, since the problem was venting, which they have apparently fixed. It still might be possible, but a lot less likely.
the first on failed me when it first came out and never got one again, got me a PS3 instead, I might get this one and if it fails me again it'll be the last microsoft console I'll ever get
Can't wait for the all new red ring of death youtube videos to come out soon since they still use the crappy thermal paste that they always used yay!
I heard what I need to hear. I wanna buy it asap, but I was hesitant because I didn't know if it was a cooler console. Being quiet is good, but I don't want it overheating.
i find it funny how even though the internal parts on the 360 have caused it to have the worst failure rate of any electronic device ever, they continue designing updated systems using these same parts when are they gonna get it through their heads that to increase sales and get their rep back up, theyre gonna have to redesign the inside not the out
These slim 360 better not be using the same chips as the Jasper 360s. I've been hearing about the GPU + CPU merged chip 360s supposedly called Valhalla since 2008, and if this thing doesn't have it, they can stick this thing where the sun doesn't shine. Not just because of the reliability problems possibilities, but because the technology in it is freaking ancient. This "slim" console is nothing a modder couldn't do, and without at least the merged CPU/GPU chip in it, I don't see myself or anyone else, for that matter, buying this.
what..same chips? How bout rrod, same chips means possibly rrod again..no matter how microsoft keeps changing its looks..I m not gonna buy.The biggest problem was its reliability.i would buy the ugliest looking console if that works great.coz its all bout gaming not decorating. I was happy when m$ announced new designed console, happier to knew its gonna b available soon within a days.NO MORE happiness after hearing same chips installed. NOW i think i am even more clear bout their evil strategy definitely not buying without reviewing i dont care what ever chip is installed,How good it looks but i really care bout its reliability.THats all
wow so what in the hell made them think that taking away the memory card slots in these would be a good idea thats the most retarded thing I have heard from E3. I was thinking about getting one of these but im going to pass now.
ironicly enough my xbox broke not so long ago and i didnt replace it, but after seing this i know im gonna have to save up :)
I'm so happy that I don't have a 360 right now because I was about to buy the elite bundle, thank God I didn't.
Had one from launched 2005 and had another 360 2007 warrant just went up so now is an excellent time for me to upgrade. I like the black and shiny and they didn't change the av port.
Slim and sexy box, its a pitty I already have my Xbox360, no need to buy this for wifi, but new user should def go for this precious box.
that microsoft rep is lying through his teeth, "new xbox 360 consumers less power than consoles out there" He must mean it consumes less than the old xbox 360 because the Nintendo Wii and PS3 slim were already proven to consume far less power.
If nothing changes about the graphics or the game style I don't understand the idea of making us change our original xbox...
