All we see is CG cut scene cinematics to show case "next gen" graphics and when you do finally see in game footage, its not all that impressive by any standard.
i dont get how "the last of us" add the guy starts off with ginger hair then turns black when he gets older?????
Dead Island Riptide has a great mod called the “George Romero Survival Horror Edition” mod which makes it feel more like a zombie game. Headshots only kill, your choice of zombies (slow or fast), a Dynamic Fighting System where effectivity of weapons are based on “real life” probability of causing harm to a zombie’s head, optional HUD styles, and even tons of optional features like turning Riptide into a real first person shooter like Call of Duty or Battlefield, complete with human enemies with guns!
I hate how the commercials always play great...for every video, but then when it's supposed to load the video I want it just sits blank. come on Game Spot, fix it. and until you do I'll just copy and past the game name in youtube and watch it there problem free and usually I can opt out of a commercial in 5 seconds
Why the developers love so much First Person Games? Is it easier to develop it? I really don't understand, if someone could help me out here, I'd really appreciate.
There is SO much that can be done with zombies. But someone has to take a risk on the writers. And that won't happen until the audience is willing to take a risk too.
Bored within the first three minutes. We keep getting the same zombie games over and over. I realize there isn't a whole lot you can do with the genre, but we could at least get a strong story. Why isn't anyone attempting to mimic the feel and emotion of The Walking Dead game? You CAN make an action/survival game and still have a strong story and cast of characters. Sigh. One of these days SOMEONE is gonna get it right.
Why do you have 40 year olds on video? If you want to keep people around that's fine but put some youngins on the camera so the people under 30 aren't wondering why there are senior citizens.
Also, if they can not ruin the physics this time around, this will be wonderful. The completely janky fucked up ragdoll and bounding boxes in Dead Island will make this game a failure if not.
@bloody_roar_fan That dude works for Gamespot
@thegamegod IF you played dead island , lighting weapon is nothing new .
@Pierce_Sparrow Walking Dead had a good story but the gameplay was almost non existant.
@Grenadeh People in their 30s are senior citizens? (Neither Tom nor Jonathan are in their 40s. I am 41.)
In any case, we don't hire people based on whether random Internet dude thinks they are too old. We have people of all ages at GameSpot. If you want a website that hires young, pretty people that have spotty knowledge of games, you know where you can find it.
@Grenadeh I'd rather a 40 year old that knows what they are talking about than some stupid jumped up schoolkid
I think most GameSpot readers only want a person who knows what he is talking about and can convey it in an interesting way.
@MERGATROYDER Nah there were more awesome exclusive games announced for it than both Xbox One and PS4 combined...
@Gamerhomer You're an asshole. How would you feel if someone referred to you like that?
@Gamerhomer What would you feel if someone calls you that way?
@highlanderjimd That's a good way to loose a lot of pants
@CUDGEdave This is one thing I don't understand. I could just as easily say I'm sick of humans. There are way more games in which you kill humans than zombies.
@CUDGEdave iEnjoy zombies when it's done RIGHT! I personally feel the genre became annoying with CoD: Zombies... but RE6 didn't help either. But games like Left 4 Dead, Dead Rising and even Undead Nightmare done Zombies justice
@Dirty_Hairy Dead space is notorious for taking credit for "changing the face of survival horror" when its a damn ACTION GAME. They think by adding a couple of jump scares and blood its automatically survival horror. Survival horror has been dead for a long time(RIP) and will stay dead unless they remake fatal frame.... or just stop making games for the "general" public and take a chance. How cult classics are born.
@Dirty_Hairy more like Parkouror :P
@Dirty_Hairy Yep, that is probably one of the reasons why there isn't really a true survival horror game anymore
@Dirty_Hairy Agreed. Also tired of hearing developers say; "Dynamic."
