Duke Nukem Forever Interview With Randy Pitchford
Laura Parker sits down with Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford for a detailed conversation about managing expectations, the reasons behind the latest delay, his response to the Fox News controversy, and much more.
I like Randy he is so excited about the game and he really wants to release it.He wants people that were and still diehard fans of the series to have fun with it. Glad i will be able to check it out.
Randy seems pretty stoked about the game. Rofl I bet he doesn't sleep at night. Can't wait to pick it up. I remember playing Duke 3D back in the day on a US Robotics 14400 baud rate dial up modem lol. My parents had to get a second phone line because I wouldn't get off the computer =). I cant wait to trip laser someone.
gamestop please listin to us when we say stop with the background music! its extremely annoying and pointless!
Great interview, but what's with the back ground music through the whole thing? Everyone involved in this game are heroes for saving it. Got my Balls of Steel Edition pre-ordered.
The games two biggest problems that may slow it down are: Gamers of this day and age may not really be familiar with Duke Money is tight right now and other games will be coming out around that same month. It's going to have to contend with those two problems and in the end it’s the person who makes the final call and if they think that for example L.A Noir is the better choice they may hold their money for that game.
Randy is the man. He never takes full credit for anything, he respects and loves all his developers equally, and he loves putting out solid, AAA games. Gotta respect that.
I bought Borderlands: GOTY edition so i got the First Access Club and nxt week is their community day and i can go for free but i can't.............. coz i livein the middle east............ FML!
Can't wait for this one. I had alot of fun in the past with Duke Nukem Multiplayer with friends. There's nothing quite like shrink raying someone, then stomping on them. Old school fun.
Before you start commenting with "The graphics look awful!" or "The graphics are so dated!" Look at Call of Duty, same engine for about 4 years, looks awful.
The savior of lost projects, I love it ! I hope he sells a lot of copies, even with the current generation of gamers unaware of the last entry in the series (since it was, well, 12 f*cking years ago ...) and it won't be promoted like Blizzard's games (that also take ages to be developed). May people get the joke. Mentioning the port of Halo on PC ........ Please Gearbox, please, do the others !
You're getting the game for Duke and the things he's going to say. Not for graphics or whatever else people are complaining about.
Duke Nukem is going to sell well no matter the quality because of its fan base. Can it attract gamers unfamiliar to Duke Nukem games? I for one am skeptical.
Good to see when director is so happy about theyr game. Most of you people expecting from this game too much. Everything i want is fun gameplay, fun alien ass kicking and epic Dukes lines. No deep story or something else like that, its not that kind of game. And graphics is not so bad so if you are true gamer you will dont care about graphics.
