can somebody tell me (hopefully the people who put this preview together) how I am supposed to get any impression of how the game plays from watching a bunch of cinematic cut scenes? thank you for wasting 2 minutes of my day.
downloaded the demo on steam yesterday. they really made the mage class look awesome while attacking and the spells just look magnificent :o i played warrior and my mage teammate casts cone of cold and i was all like OMGWTF THAT LOOKS SOOOO COOL :O the way the mage does his/her normal attacks look really awesome too. i can't describe you really have to see for yourself and you'll know what i mean :D:D
@ketchupclaw by linear I think he means the areas are linear not like oblivion where you can wonder around where ever you want
@ Livefantasy7 Uh.....linear? You sure we're talking about Origins? The game with multiple endings, control over plot direction, and the ability to play most of the major quests in whatever order you want to?
got early addicted to the first game and played it 4 times over with between 200 - 300 gameplay hours. best buy for 2009, a gave that made me interested and even to date it has high replay value just for the nostaligia feeling. Dragon age is going to be a tough game to top but i'm glad theyr trying and keeping the story of the Dragon age world going even further.
I'm having bad feellings about this game. I was absolutely addicted to DA I. But I think Bioware's gonna fu** it up, somehow. Didn't like what he said about the combat being "less clunky" this time. The combat was one the best things of the game. I think it's the best combat system in the entire genre.
This just can't go wrong. Bioware is one of the most experienced rpg makers in history! I mean every rpg game they released it was a groundbreaker!
I have already defeated the archdemon in nightmare level and on my way to continue the battle in awakening... while waiting for Dragon Age II. I believe it would be worth to wait 'til it come...
I like the dialogue wheel that was used in mass effect and can't wait for this game. I believe it will be better than origins because Hawke can be either gender and will be fully voiced.
wow another peice of over-priced buggy crap that has been gutted of content for DLC from EA/Bioware. PASS.
Bioware to DAO fans:Hack-n-Slash time Fox's PRE-ORDER DA 2 NOW! DAO fans: DA 2 awesome!!! I PRE-ORDER MY COPY NOW!!!, wait did you say hack-n-slash? Bioware to DAO fans: i guess i did.. DAO fans:Awesome!!! hi hi hi. Bioware to DAO fans:i take your money hi hi hi.
I'm personally not a fan of the dialogue wheel, but bioware hasn't dissapointed me yet. I just hope they keep the rpg/tactical elements intact, it's a large part of what made the first one great.
The dialog wheel is a good addition. It worked so well in Mass Effect, I was surprised to not see it in Dragon Age. Not sure I like the less realistic armor and weapons. I am extremely skeptical about the EA influenced "lets make the combat less clunky" changes. While I feel they could make some beneficial changes, I have no faith they will preserve or improve the tactical element. I feel they already have reduced this element from Neverwinter Nights 2. Or if tactical combat is what the general public wants for that matter...
this will be awesome... gameplay more like Mass Effect 2? hmm.. another game of the year made by Bioware :)
