the mage class looks to more hands-on which was clear even in the first trailer. i'll do a play-through or 3 with each of course. my only criticism entails the use of a one sleeved mages outfit. i''m not a big fan of one sleeved costumes. oh and i wish i could holster my sword at my waist instead of it glitching into a badass costume.
All the other classes look awesome but I will always take a sword and a shield anyday ( Warrior Class) cannot wait for this game to get released.
@sMeAgOl_VaDeR yeah rouge Definitely the best choice i hope you get a hood... becouse when i whent into the da2 avatar marketplace for 360 it had warrior mage and rouge armour and the rouge had a hood up now that badass be awsome to have a hood on the rouge
yes, i did that in DAO with Morrigan. she was an epic mage! in this one, one guy is all three classes! it's awesome! totally looking forward to this game.
@irishkd in DAO there was a mage especialization that used the magic atribbute to replace strength, meaning that a mage with such especialization could cast any spell and still use heavy armor, if done correctly this was one of the best, if not the best tank build in the game
So... can we play as a woman? Because I'm sure more than a few of us will get tired of staring at a dude's backside all game.
hawk is suppose to be a mage, so i'll play the 1st time as Hawk the Mage... then me as warrior and then for the 3rd time rouge :)
Doesn't the rogue totally remind you of the Demon Hunter in Warcraft 3 ? I mean, with the curved blades (although smaller) and fighting style ? Anyway, looks really good. I like what Bioware made to the RPG genre with Mass Effect, melting really good voice acting and storytelling with action elements (whereas some very good action RPG don't have any tale to tell). If Dragon Age 2 goes a little down that road too, I sure won't miss that title.
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME mage had the most options in the last one, cause it was really annoying switching weapons and moving around. but since they improved the fighting, anyone of them would work!
They're letting us choose now? Awesome, I was afraid they meant it when they said we'll all be warriors.
@grungehead1991 Yes, but why does it have to be like that? Why can't they just make a separate archer class? It's always in rogue/stealth tree, like some "minor" addition to the gameplay...
Im a bit concerned about loss in the area of the "pure" RPG elements. The movies I've seen gives a hint that it looks more inspired by games like diablo this time around. I still love Diablo 2 but Dragon Age for me is a hardcore rpg. Still have high hopes though. :D
@DarcyAllen it might happen though, at least that's the feeling I get.. I would hope you at least have the option to be male or female.
@spartan2777 I agree with you that the trailers for DA:O origins where better and really got me pumped for the game. But they where so different from the game maybe they wanted to show a more similar appearance to the actually graphics and gameplay (the gameplay is obviously different in the actual game) this time around.
Hope you get to pull these moves off, or sometihng similar, in game. If not, someone will have to burn. Still dont see how they say they completely changed the graphics engine. I see it flow much better, but i dont think its so much a change as rather a refreshment.
@whitehawk_77 We haven't been told that their is no character creation. It's just like Mass Effect. We all know the Shepard from all the ads, but we still had the option the make our own character. I just can't see Bioware taking away our ability to customize.
