Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition Four Things You Should Know
If you're playing the latest Diablo release on PlayStation or Xbox, here are four important tips to remember.
Switching on elective mode is like giving fps players rocket launchers on all slots.....it does as much good as it does bad.....keeping it off makes the battles a bit more tactful imo.....but it's always good to have an option......
i only wish the reaper of souls had the reaper as a playable class.....
Interesting that the skill tree stuff would be off by default, also well done Erick you should keep playing the Console version instead of the PC
Meanwhile he doesnt mentions that you can eaisly make a game then go to the blacksmith,craft whatever items you desire (if you have the mats that is) and if it rolls something bad,hold the PS/Xbox menu button to dashboard quit to your console desktop,re-enter the game and you still have your mats with you un-used.

One thing I don't understand is why I am having such an easier time on the Ultimate Evil Edition. Example, the first time I played through on 360. I played on normal and when I finished the game I was level 25 (I do admit that some levels I played with higher level people online though). Normal was fairly though for me and I when I got to certain places it so difficult I had to go back and replay earlier levels to level up and compete. Now ..on this edition I started a fresh character and normal was very easy...pretty soon I bumped it all the way to Master and I am not having hardly any difficulty at all. I am on like level 22 and I havent' even finished the first act. The only thing I can see why this is so maybe that since I imported my 360 characters ......I had the blacksmith and gem guy unlocked already and had a lot of money to buy good equipment early on ,but still the difficulty level seems sooo much easier on this edition.
AAAhhhh so that is why in these videos they seem to smash through hordes of monsters with seemingly little effort. Elective mode seems like it should be called "overkill" mode instead. I think I'd rather have it like the original game and harder but that is just me.
Definitely need to try out elective mode. For those who already have, how to you switch between powers that are mapped to the same button?
Well I've been playing since last Thursday and I'm only half way into Act III. I think my problem is that I have to read or listen to every text block. Plus I'm pretty busy with my family and career. Its fun so far, but I still don't see why there was so much hype surrounding the game before and after it's release.
MotoGp 14 will now be released on November 4 this year for PS3, PS4 and for XBox 360. See this http://geekthem.com/motogp-14/
I bought this for PS4 and it has been awesome so far, really enjoying this game, glad I never played it on PC. Thanks for the tips, really useful video!
I wish I had held out for the PS4 version. I picked up the PC version a month-or-so ago, and while it's good, I think I might enjoy it more chilling on my couch. Oh well, maybe I'll double dip later if I find it on sale.
@gameroutlawzz Really? That'll come in handy when making 70 legends!
@itsmarcius I never get tired of Diablo!
It's because in this version no matter what difficulty (except torment) all enemies scale to you and your parties' skill level.
@dbene this scares me. I need a challenge. I've never played diablo and started off on expert , didn't die too much so far. Watching all these gamespot videos the enemies are all dead in a few hits. Looks so boring to roll through the game like this. At least on expert it takes about 10 hits to kill guys instead of 2
@dbene My brother and I, who both started fresh on X1 have noticed this too. We've played entirely on Master and we frequently ask each other "Are you sure it's on Master? This feels so easy!" Luckily, we hit 60 as we killed diablo, so we're gonna bump it up to Torment and see how it goes.
@greaseman1985 I remember when I started on diablo 3 pc and its the same thing..took me weeks of gameplay till I found out through something like this or maybe it was a youtube vid about elective mode....
Its a gamebreaker!!
That is awesome about elective mode. I thought that it just simply allowed you to change the button assignment of each category (ex. make you RT skill your X skill) I didn't realize it would let you assign more than one skill from a tree
@greaseman1985 It doesn't do ANY job of explaining it.
@Dannystaples14 No shit. I figured it was remap like everyone else. That is ridiculously unbalancing if you can assign any skills you want from any tree. I don't know if I want to try it. It's like Cheese mode. I don't even farm on anything less than Torment I. Without challenge, why play? Yeah, it takes me longer to gear up and crap, but I probably have more fun doing so as I don't just get to stand in the fire and button mash every elite to death.
@Dannystaples14 Elective mode has always been available. It doesnt give you more skills at once as it might seem the way he explained it though. Just doesnt restrict your choices. It always seemed a bit weird that they hid it in the menus but i guess they wanted to make sure newcomers would strike a balance between offensive and defensive powers
@gino_pachino I really feel like the console version is far more enjoyable personally, and this is coming from a life-long PC gamer. This game just lends itself much better to a controller, makes it not such a boring click-fest.
Everyone ....even reviewers agree that Diablo III on console is superior. I am surprised by this but it is the case.
@gino_pachino Another PC nerd. GTFO.
@gino_pachino Simple. Just drink the soup.
@gino_pachino You mean it like eating soup the best way possible? Put in over 200+ hours on the PC version and the console version is way better and more fun for me to play. Same exact game and I don't have to sit on my pc to play it. Victory.
@black_icefa02 I just tried it just there. When you have elective mode on when you pick a skill for a button you can pick any skill you'd like instead of just the five skills that are usually assigned to that button. So you can have all of the skills from the same tree assigned to different buttons. You can't pick more than one skill on the same button (I thought that's what he meant too, probably could've explained better).
I actually was going to say just about the exact same thing, I just started the game for the first time, first diablo game I've tried, it's fun but I don't get the hype, or how or why people spend 200+ hours on it. Is it the multiplayer that people get hooked on? The loot system? The vast amounts of customization? It's all fun, but nothing's grabbed me so far
@zunair101 go away
@weetbix23 It's a very good port indeed. Specially the controls.
@S0LIDUS311 Speak for yourself, you dumb f***.
@S0LIDUS311 Oh shut up dude
@S0LIDUS311 A new player like myself.
@Freedomination @Dannystaples14 yes very well said. That is exactly right! And i agree with that BUT i do think that at some point they should give a ingame tutorial explaining this. Cause while on normal difficultys and first playthroughs it don't matter what skills you have as you will have no trouble BUT later on in torment difficulties its a great Boon!
@jynxten Ahhhhhhh that makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the clarification. That will work great for my desired load out!
@S0LIDUS311 while I do admit the bonus's are known. I just wanted to make it more of a point of emphasis since it's something the console lends itself to more so than the PC. Tried to give tips that would help as many people as possible.
