Hang on.. Does this mean the Warrior from D1, who'd go on to be the avatar/vessel for Diablo in D2, got it on with Adria to produce Leah? 0_0
I spent many hours playing Diablo 1 and 2 and I love the series. I think the game system with constant Internet connection and pay for time of play is a way of ruining the game. Why not be charged $ 70 at the time of purchase and after you play all you want, whenever you want? I hate it when they want to squeeze all the money slowly.
@ don_pafciu Regarding the voice, Considering it's the barbarian class, they probably wanted to instill a tinge of "Age of Conan" appeal. Plus, it helps differentiate the classes personalities more. The game also takes place in a fantasy setting, so drawing from Age of Conan-esque voices is not unusual. This is kind of Dungeons & Dragons 101, really. If you want a character to be interesting, you have to distinguish them, whether this be their voice, mannerisms, physical features, scars on face, etc.
@fordog Probably because it's going to be huge. I haven't looked up hard drive reqs or length ( if it's even released yet) but that's my best guess.
OMG whats with the russian accents? First they ruin female monk and now female barbarian. The more I watch these videos the less I want to play it. I hope Torchlight 2 will not disappoint.
I don't know yet but with all the beta videos i saw online, for now it looks like its not going to be open world like diablo 2....i know its the the same team that did diablo 2 that are working on diablo 3, they split (diablo 2 = tochlight 1-2 now) so I hope its open world...
@Goupil418 Blizzard did not make the first two Diablo games, their sister studio Blizzard North did. They had separate art teams, with different styles. Blizzard has always made their characters somewhat cartoonish. @RGN07 If you are asking that question, I have to wonder if you even played the first two Diablo games at all. Dungeon and Siege and Torchlight cannot compare.
someone please explain why this has taken so long to be released. It doesn't look much different/polished compared to most rpg's you see out there
ugh look like ... is it me or over time blizzard seem to have lost any sense of ANATOMY? characters are retardly out of proportions... exactly like in WoW... sad because I liked D2 and expansion... D3 look too much cartoonish
With rpgs like Dungeon Siege 3 and Torchlight 1 & 2, how different would D3 be? As for gameplay it appears to be an identical explore-as-you-go path. What would be a major difference?
Man, Jennifer Hale does voices in everything. Mind you, I'll never complain about my Diablo followers sounding like Bastila or Femshep...
