Deus Ex: Human Revolution Interview: Pax East 2011
We talk release dates and fan feedback with Jean-Francois Degas at Pax East 2011.
Footus, I havent seen Tron yet, but the soundtrack at the end is also in the 1st Deus Ex. Maybe its similar or Tron borrowed from it.
At the very last part of this vid, is the music from that mock tron movie which was out last december?... Game looks amazing.
i guess the decision to dely the game was ana good one no point giving people a game wiv bugs an stuff the wait is a good wait
20-25 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY?? OH GOD...YOU'VE MADE ME A HAPPY PC PANDA GAMER!!! I can't even remember the last time I played a new FPS that lasted over 5 hours.
The Maiden shirt definitely gives me a ridiculous amount of faith for this, obviously the developers have good taste
Man, I am seriously hyped for this game. There's a fidelity just in the presentation of a few games coming out soon that make you want them even if its not your go-to genre. Deus Ex is one of those for me. Also ES V Skyrim... Rage... Batman Arkham City they all have a look/concept that you just have to experience.
The story in this game is very interesting to me. The technology may be far off but the basis of this story is real. Some large corporations already have too much power and influence and unfortunately there are definite organisations in this world that are working relentlessly to shape the future...and not for the good of the people. Awesome looking game, I look forward to playing it.
Yes! At least 20-25 hours of awesomeness! Take your time guys. It's better to have a finished game a little later than a buggy game soon.
now this is the panel that i would have liked to of seen, rather than them showing the panel for Bioshock Infinite. i didn't think the panel was that great since they barely showed the audience the game & seemed to talk over each other a ton & tried to hard to convince the audience by pushing on them the idea that a new world located in the air is a great idea.(not that i am saying that it isn't) the way that they went about it bored me & made me extremely disinterested in the game. as i was losing constant focus, i was more interested in my idea of an H.H. Holmes videogame, centered around the Chicago World Fair & Holmes Castle. they could have done both Deus Ex & Bioshock, rather than Gamespot/Richardo, teasing us by saying that there was a Deus Ex panel. i saw some of the Skyrim panel/game & that was excellent. Gamespot only covered that in an article, i had to find it elsewhere.
Quite a number of things to like here. Blade Runner flavour. The tone and setting look superb. Lots of ways for the Art Director to inflict pain. Frantically finishing the titles I'm working on, clearing the schedule for a first day buy.
love the graphics on this game - still not entirely clear on what's going on, but depening on the pre-order bonuses, I'm probably all in :)
20-25 hours? thats kinda short! The DAII with its 40 hours was short! The games are getting more and more expansive while getting much and much shorter >_
you know what? everytime Gamespot shown Deus Ex video trailer/ interview. somehow it feels like GS deliberately want to make us think "oh crap another new deus ex video, wow the gameplay looks very cool!" Yet acctually the game still LONG way to be released and this is very problematic for me because now i really can't wait to play Deus Ex
"If any of the fans don't like anything in the game at this point we're like uhhhhhh (shove off) we can't change it."
That's a pretty big delay. Wasn't it supposed to come out this month of something? Wonder what happened that they need half-a-year to fix.
He's wearing a Maiden "Piece Of Mind" t-shirt, which is just cool as hell. Denton's douche bag faux-hawk hairdo is really, really lame - CHANGE IT. He looks like one of the dumb jock tea baggers at the gym. The first game (although insanely difficult at times) was brilliant, the 2nd - console garbage for kids.
@ Skargamer : No, you don't have to play any of the other games. Deus Ex Human Revolution is the prequel of the first game :) Those who played the older DE games might notice some fan service and how a certain organization is founded. Gamers new to the series won't be missing out on anything.
So this is gonna be the first game in a long time with a primary focus on single player. Awesome. :)
Do I have to know anything about Deus Ex before i play this game? 'Cause I haven't played any of the other games.
Ok, but now I don't get it. They are talking about fixing bugs and everything, but if the game is already in the can and they've already had one release date pushing it back, why so many months? Hmmm, well, I imagine the months will go by fast, considering I have waited since DE:IW for this game. Still looks awesome, can only think this will be a 9.
Truly excited for this game. The game play style options really seem legitimate as opposed to a marketing ploy. This is random, but did anyone else notice Ricardo's knuckles? Is that the initial stages of becoming an L4D boomer....
@CovertChris: thx for yor reply :) I normally don`t play 1st person with few execeptions (bioshock being one, is horror-ish with great gameplay and story, you have to play it lol...) and this one seems to be in the kind that will make a great exception... :) .. I`ll keep a close eye on it...
Oh "Gabe" and "Tycho" how DO you get these people to show up at PAX? You truly are the best gamers in the entire world. :)
I sadly for some reason never played deus ex games back in the days, I tried them a few years ago and they seemed really cool but outdates, so I am really psyched getting the chance to get into it. And it looks like its going to be really really good !
