Yeah, the gameplay are more similar with the first episode of Deus Ex. More things to do and shoot when is necessary. Nice.
This is another game that gamers might want to keep their eye on this year. It is definitely going to be one of the best games this year and I think this is going to take deus ex games to a whole new level. The visuals look bright and futuristic and not to mention the game play seems varied enough to offer you an interesting time. But the story is what is going to rock the most about this game without any doubt.
Was looking for an extended gameplay video for deus ex on the main page had to look a little deeper to find this. Not familiar with the first game as I never had a power pc to play good games. Now I have ps3 and can't wait to get this game. Most other trailers never showed the menu screen mechanics and all the action play. After seeing this I am ready to buy. The only thing I would want to change is the way the game cutscenes when you do a melee takedown, seems like it takes a lot of time, would rather it have been just like using the guns maybe just the first time you use the 'hidden' blades it goes to a cut not every time. Oh well it still might work. Can't wait till next month.
i was quite skeptical about this at first considering its not being made by Warren Spector, but seeing it an action now it looks really polished and impressive. Plus the lead designers seem really enthusiastic about the project.
Hmm, I think they went guns blazing out of the complex to illustrate the option of gameplay Deus Ex offers. I think it is also possible to sneak past them, which is what I would do. This really ups my expectations. I am a bit relieved now, knowing that the hacking and sneaking is still there.
Just got the O.G. Deus Ex and Invisible War to hit up before this roles out... i'm pretty much as amped as possible for this one suckers! :)
@pidow after playing the first one this one deserves a preorder. Deus Ex is still the best video game I have ever played.
Throughout the game I was like, 'Only one pistol?', than I saw that awesome SOAB at around 1:40. Crazy Mda Fuka.
I agree with Hrothgar99, if I had to make an opinion on the game on the explosive pack trailer then I would predict the game would have been a flop. That said, after seeing this particular trailer I am now slightly impressed and will now keep an open mind, hoping the game surpasses all my expectations. I hope this game will be excellent, I need games to play in between finals.
i was a bit apprehensive after the explosive pack trailer but if the gameplay it like this the ....hotdamnn i m sold
I wonder if it will have both first and third person, but now for the true message, ME WANTS ITS, this game looks really good, and I hope it will be as good as it looks.
@bodylotion , from what i remember of deus ex1 it looked more like they showed the neighborhood from afar, but that is the problem with creating a prequel to a game that happens in the future, it is kind of silly
I wonder if they shaved the mustache off of Adam, people would stop making the Metal Gear Solid comparison.
what is up with that game engine, movement on rails, arm on a stick.... suspicious camera angles during cover and melee sequences.... I was expecting a LOT better than this anti climax I mean, for the length of time in development I thought there'd be more to the game than polished textures. It doesnt really echo much beyond FEAR 2 and metal gear had a love child. I do hope im wrong and this evolves further, there's still time :)
That 'pulse' gun looked kinda similar to the one used in Minority report, God I hope this has a good storyline, look forward to a sequel (maybe i'm asking for too much!)
@Airpulses : Let's hope so because that would make the game pretty weird. The whole city in this trailer looks very futuristic but in Deus Ex 1 you can see the city from far away and it still looks like a normal city from 2010. :)
Deus Ex will be a hit no doubt about it and it has an atmosphere like metal gear solid , which I welcome with open arms
@Hermes33 I also still have my big box Deus Ex, I remember when all PC games were like that, it IS wierd now to look at those boxes, but it was so normal at the time, I remember when RTCW came out, it was the 1st DVD case game I ever purchased. Im looking forward to this new incarnation of DE, back when I was playing the 1st one I annoyed all my friends constantly talking about the detailed game world and the rich story. Just wonder how this joint is going to run on my PC.
Cool vid, thanks GS, sweet cyberpunk all the way! 8) Currently playing through the original Deus Ex and enjoying it, although even with the mods and updated textures it's not so good on the eyes!! I guess, it's worth enduring for the story tho. I bought it ten years ago but never got around to finishing it so I thought it was about time, thanks for the reminder! It's funny to look at the old "big" Deus Ex cardboard box now... before most PC games followed the console approach of selling them in DVD cases (and CD jewel cases before that). There's actually a CD jewel case inside the cardboard box with a small CD-sized manual inside (similar to the TiE Fighter box). PS: Did anyone else expect the "Pritchard" voice in the video to call him "Michael"?! Heh, he does sound a bit like "KITT", doesn't he? So when the protagonist massacred the SWAT team at the end I was thinking "don't Hassle the Hoff!"
Cool, Looks like its going to be a worthy succesor to the series. Deus Ex 1 & 2 with a hint of crysis thrown in. Cant be bad
@TacticaI It was not "a complete non-issue" from day one and to this day it remains an issue and a legitimate concern for PC gamers. I don't see how you can possibly argue that games aren't dumbed down due to console systems... between watered down graphics, fewer controls to play with, less processing power, and just generally catering to the console demographic (*cough* Call of Duty *cough*) there's really no debate about it!
