Deus Ex: Human Revolution Explosive Mission Pack Trailer
Check out this trailer for a GameStop preorder mission.
I am a huge fan of batman ark ham asylum and some of the mechanics remind me of that game. The cover the detective vision and even the air duct crawling. I know that it is probably like a bunch of games but as I am a newer gamer(28yrs old) and have a ps3. I am not the best gamer and I don't want to be. I use games as entertainment and a visually engaging experience. A lot of pc folks below are mad at difficulty levels in games and casual gamers. Most people have jobs a families and have enough frustration in life and need another outlet for relaxation. Tell me a pc gamer never goes and watches a AAA movie title, they just go watch purely educational movies or historical documentries that make you think, wont happen, because even pc gamers love it for something to do and be blown away . I just want to play and get into a game. If I get murdered 5 minutes in and can never progress I get pissed like the guys in the gamely commercial for bad games. The games still offer easy, med, and hard for those that want to crank things up. As long as the game dosnt hold your hand too much and is diverse and engaging it will work.
I will rent this game for a week and beat the hell out of it, for $11 I think its a damn good deal. I just hope the game is as good as the previous one. I had a real blast playing it, I hope in this one we can still pick up the dead instead of making them disapear by magic and lets hope for a good deep stroyline.
oh yea games like unreal (+ tournament) homeworld, and deus ex started on pc and revolutionized games
method 115 get a comfy chair then, gow is on pc and ninja guardian sucks sorry to say and every single genre works on pc. games like diablo, crysis, and all stratagie games work on pc and look better and can have a higher frame rate if u have a good pc. consoles can only go to a max of 30 fps while on some games pc can go a max of over a hundred. case in point
Consol gaming is awful this day and age. Wanna play in your couch with a x360 gamepad? no probs with a PC. PC has a modding community etc etc... It's so easy to download and play pirated x360 games also.
a lot of videogames doesn't look as good in vidoes as they're when played this one won't be different ..
it's an open-world fps ..... it won't be .... like ......bioshock ..when it comes to graphics ... keeping tuned for gameplay and story
@luketheduke324 PC can be better in every way possible I'll agree with that but it's not always. For instance I work with PC's everyday when i get home I want to sit on my couch not on my computer desk. Also PC doesn't have a lot of GOW, NInja Gaiden,Bayonetta type games. JRPG's basically don't exist Tales of Vesperia was an awesome game. I used to be a PC gamer myself so I know what it's all about. Once I got a tech job I quickly stopped PC gaming and got a 360. The only thing I miss more then anything is all the free games. I didn't pay for one game when I was a PC gamer.
sorry but i will agree with vidharr pc games are the only reason i play games at all the mouse and keyboard are superior than the gamepad mass effect was better on pc for many reasons: it looked better, played better, and didnt lag like the xbox because it couldn't handle it how good the game looked. im 15 years old ive been playing game for 6 years my brother has for 10 we both know that the pc and nentendo are the best for originality story and has far better internet con. for multiplayer. as far as the pc goes we have a far more categories in gaming: mmo, rpg, fps, rts, tbs, tps and a few more that consoles dont have, the only games pc dosnt have are halo3 gears of war 2 final fantasy and u could name a little more but it dosnt matter we have more games more clients like steam and games 4 windows live impulse comrade rapter and a lot more. pc is just better in every scenes possible.
@foojam So? I've played the games for just as long and I don't see consoles as the problem, merely a scapegoat for bitter PC enthusiasts who refuse to accept that things will change. That they are changing. They have changed. You don't understand because you don't want to. Because you, like some elitist PC users refuse to see merits and games or understand that things are changing in a way guided by the market and the majority. People like you think the world must remain PC-centric but fail to understand that there's more outside of just PCs. Precision is ultimately irrelevant. Keyboard/mouse vs gamepad? You will only ever see hardcore gamers ever bring this up. The average consumer is indifferent or may notice a slight difference but are otherwise disinterested. All that matters is the experience one walks away. What I mean is what we have available has changed significantly over the course of those twenty+ years. Games are easier because technology has made it thus, because demand has driven it in that direction. Challenge is there but optional and as it should be. Games should be inherently easy with the possibility of increasing or scaling difficulty to suit your needs and tastes. Why? Because, as it turns out, challenge seekers are actually kind of a minority. That and people who pay good money would like to get to the end. It's shocking to realize that not everyone is as good as you or I at gaming.
Old school Deus Ex might actually be back (here's hoping). Also, I'll throw in my chit in saying Consoles are responsible for the dumbing down of games in a huge way. How many controls can you have in a console game? 10ish tops? Consoles are the reason that flight sims are almost gone (a few great ones like Rise of Flight, LOMAC Platinum, DCS Black Shark still exist, but all from great Russian devs) because they don't have the power in a console to do anything passed simplistic eye candy, and that's eye candy that doesn't even come close to what my PC can produce. My Xbox 360 is used for a couple sports games (since the tards at EA don't make Madden for the PC anymore) and to play dvds, that's it.
I completely agree with foojam and think we're in for a major departure from coolness with anything coming from PC-only to PC and Console, like Crysis 2 - it's going to be super easy and you can tell by the current screenies that it's going to put emphasis on action. Not that Crysis didn't have action, it had plenty, but it focused more on story even though it was mission-based. HL3 too will be dumbed down and we will be dissapointed, just like what happened to FEAR 2 although that one had more to do with a change in company with rights to the game. Unreal series, same thing, so Deus Ex might be no different but I tell ya what, it's looking mighty fine right now.
@foojam I agree with what you're saying to a certain point. I enjoy challenging games too. But I do understand why games are more simplified, alot of casual gamers view-point on games is that it's simply a form of entertainment (which it is) and shouldn't be so hard to the point it's no longer fun to play. However like yourself and others the challenge of the game IS the "fun" part.
@ AncientDozer Maybe they were quite popular, I don’t really know. All I know is that I play games for over 20 years and I see this trend with easier games and it annoys me. I believe consoles play a big role in this because controllers can’t be as precise as keyboard/mouse and when the sales are high for easy games, companies do it again and again. You also agree to this. But simplifying games just for the money is not good, especially when we’re talking about famous titles of the past. Save systems worked just fine in older fames, I can tell you, Unreal, Half-Life, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and the list goes on, you could save whenever you wanted and not repeat a whole level because of a mistake. Controls in these games were also very good, so I don’t understand your point. You prefer easy games, auto save, that’s fine, we simply disagree. I am a pc fan and I will appreciate every company that shows respect to me as a customer.
@foojam I find your opinion unfounded. Previous Deus games have been on the console and have been quite popular. The idea that games are dumbed down or made easy for consoles is absurd. Explain WoW, for instance. Hugely popular PC only game that becomes increasingly easier. Half Life 2 wasn't that challenging and that's an older PC title. Games across the board, exclusive and multi-plat have all become fairly easy and I'll tell you what I believe is the reason. For the most part, a lot of older games were difficult due to glitches that companies rarely thought to fix or were unable to, technological limitations, and trends. The big one, I believe, is technology. Remember how limited or nonexistent some save systems were back in the day. Remember how unbalanced or terrible controls were. These things have changed significantly. Auto saving and check points have become standard. Also of note is trend. While, sure, some of us are challenge freaks, the majority of people aren't. Most people aren't interested in games that they can't beat. They would at least like to get deep into the game and if it's too hard, you really can't. So naturally they show preference for easier, intuitive and forgiving games. Since it is the majority, companies take notice and realize they can get more money by appealing to wider audiences.
Awesome music, trailer cool but i don't believe that is going to be as good as the first. Reason is, it will be released for consoles too which means easy gameplay, crappy checkpoint save system and emphasis on action.
Did they they tone down the amount of detail and texturing here? Compare it to the first gameplay trailer they released. They don't look the same.
PLEAAASE dont screw this game, the whole fu**ing gaming world will hate u forever if this game doesnt live up to its potential
The concept sounds great but the game looks outdated, including poor level design and game play. I really hope that the game play and graphics are still being polished. I am a big Deus Ex fan and I hope the final product is better then this on all accounts. (Crosses Fingers).
From the first trailers I didnt think it would be a FPS game. But lets wait and see if its more promising than this. Nothing much has been shown so far. And its ridicules to see that they always put exclusive content on pre-ordered games. Just to make sure you order it before its even out. thats BS.
this better not a be a shoot-em up which is all they have shown really so far, and is this emplying that a basic grenade launcher, and remote detonated mines are exclusive? thats bull****
im so goddamn sick of excluse content, what a load of crap, we pay 99 dollars for a stupid game here in australia I want ALL THE FEATURES
despite some problems im pretty sure that this game has a lot of things to say and will not going to be a failure!!!
For this game, I would pay for the DLC, but I have to say that in general it really pisses me off. Just another excuse to release a half-finished game and make gamers pay more for the content they deserved in the first place. And what's with all of the Gamestop-exclusive preorder bonuses? Does anyone even go to Gamestop anymore? Why would any self-respecting gamer pay those overcharging sleazes when they can buy from Steam?
In the future, 99% of all game content will be in pre-order bonuses and DLC. Bought the game late with no DLC? Here's a nice empty room you can walk around in with your character! But you don't get a face or hands, that's DLC...
fail or not u have to admit this game look pretty sweet, never got the chance to play the first ones though i did here a lot about them so maybe this will be my chance i never had :P
i am a big fan of deus ex and well sadly this one somehow seems disappointing....... hope i am wrong tho ......:)
