Looks great. Changing up the boss fights is nice but I don't know how much I'll enjoy the other changes, or if they change the overall feel of the game. I did, after all, love the game as a bonafide Deus Ex successor in spite of its flaws (and the super-annoying boss fights). I'm gonna wait for the reviews to pour in before buying this one.
Being able to look down at the controller to get additional info might sound like a great idea, but I'm not going to look down at the controller to look at the map or inventory so I can get shot while I look away. That information is supposed to be on the screen, so I can access it in a split second without taking my eyes away from my surroundings, then immediately return my focus to what's in front of me. It's something that is poorly thought out.
I loved the first deus ex game and played it 3 or 4 times - but deus ex HR was just a very bad game compared to the first one.
Played it only 1 hour after waiting quite a long time for it - its the most disappoting game i ve ever played - i have even more fun with medicore aracade games then this crap.
chars, graphics, story/telling, leveldesign its just bad in every aspect for what i loved the first for.
PC Version runs pretty bad, as it looks even more bad - ok the first deus ex didnt look realy good too, it wasnt running as good as other games - but thats really all they took over from the first.
i am very happy that i didnt bought the game - its crap, even more then that it destroys a great name and the fact gamespot rated it higher then the first just shows how stupid ratings are.
I will never buy an eidos montreal game - what say have done to this franchise is nearly unbelievable - max payne 3 for example is lame too - everyone who played it may thought about it, as its a rockstar console game - i am not a fan of rockstar games anyway - but they at least were able to make a max payne game, besides that it is lame too its console gameplay.
While Deus Ex HR is just so far away from the original that this franchise is dead forever - I will always remember the great story about JC denton - the locations were amazing for its time, the levels great and fun to explore.
I am glad the Wii U is getting a hardcore game and it proves, that it can be awesome, if the programmers are concetrating on the core elements of the console, thinking innovative.
They should done this in first place with directors cut know resale other game to get this thx a lot.
Did they announce the official release date? Day one purchase for me. God, LET ME GIVE YOU MY MONEY, AGAIN, EIDOS MONTREAL!
This looks better than the PC version. They certainly didn't try hard enough with the PC port. They should have cranked it up to 11.
um is this game only for the Wii U? i hope not..if they wanna make money on the game that is... another probably inferior port of a game that PS3/360 has had for years...sounds about right for the Wii U...
The boss fight updates are great! That first one was really annoying for me as a hacker. I appreciate that they listened to the fans and gave them what they asked for
Nice. Did they say people had a problem with the length of the game though? I thought it was perfect, though even more would be welcome.
Not only more content and better graphics, it also looks like it runs at a much higher framerate. I don't remember my PS3 version looking that sharp and smooth. Wii U owners, definitely get this. If I had a Wii U I would buy it again, just for hte boss fights alone which they screwed up on console BIG TIME.
Nice they listen to fan feedback and even more impressive they actually act on it (Boss fights, New Game+ etc.) but i'm not sure what feedback led them to make a tablet game, give us a follow up to HR dammit!!!
sure takes them awhile to get to the WiiU... and here any PlaystationPlus users are playing the game for free..
@ShadowsDemon interesting question, still no answers.
@thekazumalord they made the "bomb" announcement that the Director's cut will also be released for the other platforms: PC, X360, PS3. they should've given it as a free download for owners of the initial game.
@thekazumalord The WiiU version is actualy better than the PC version (acording to the developers, i am not kidding watch the video). So the WiiU is the definitive version to get
@davetbeau Didn't know if I should believe you, but they say it at 18:23. Awesome news.
@DJKrayz_basic No. This is the directors cut with more content and better graphics.
