the time limit doesnt worry me much. I just hope the new ideas continue throughout the game. I love Dead Rising, but I want DR2 to be more than just the same thing within a different environment.
Guys. The reason there was a time-limit is because the mission was to get some amount of pp (dr's version of currency) in 10 minutes. it was just the mission, not the whole game. Furthermore, if you look at the time-limit it's ten minutes. I don't think that's all the time you have in the whole game. If you want my source, I read it in Gameinformer's coverage.
those zombies look epicly retardedm why even fight them when u can run around them with ease? this interviewer sucks
whats the big deal with the time limit? he said in the video that it was to save a survivor, besides the game isnt out yet, with other words no time limit
@Urban Messiah Amen man.I HATE the timer because I LOVE to explore and actually get my money's worth out of the game not just beat the shi+ out of everything and run away.
Brilliant game, just hate the timer, I like to have more to do in a game rather than just mow down zombies as fast as you can, but I looks hellish & full of blood splatters which I love in a game, I'll keep my eyes on this one..Just need more time to explore, for stores, peep shows, etc.
@ Tha_laziboi: Way to generalize and be absolutely *wrong*. The reason I always hated the time limit was because it was just that: too limiting. I don't know about you but I like exploring and checking out the game world that developers created, and I'd prefer to take my time and do that without sections of the story of the game being closed off to me because of a stupid time limit that was only implemented to artificially and rather unnecessarily create replayability. A good game will make you want to continue playing even after beating it...Dead Rising was that kind of game and didn't need the time limit to force you to replay the game to see what you missed the first time around because you missed saving someone or doing something in time.
Take note here the people who say they hate the time limit and dead rising sucks. Are the people who suck at games. They are the people who play games on the easy difficulty because they can't take a challenge. I for one loved DR and can't wait till DR2 drops. DR was a incredible game!
You know what would be very fun? A 3Rls in all xboxes in the middle of the preview, in the middle of the event.
am i the only one that is happy about it being timed? this is the zombie apocalypse, you cant just take your time. You CAN take the time to see if you can attatch a battery to a shotgun, but you have to be alright with someone dying as a result. Noone wants to do the story straight off the bat anyway, especially with an economy now
ehh, looks a bit rubbish to me! but I can only judge with a demo, i've never played dead rising, but don't like the idea of having a time limit..., also, notice how when hes attacking, the zombies lunge for him, but it doesn't actually do any damage, they just seem to, fail
This guy is one of the biggest douches I've seen in a while. His constant nerd giggle and always saying gross at the slightest hint of blood makes me want to hit him. Who the hell gave this guy a job? Game looks decent. I really got burned by Dead Rising 1. Got super psyched and was pretty let down by the final product. Definitely a rental first.
i hope that these new time limits won;t be as restrictive as in dr 1, theres no need to make us play the game again cause most players of dead rising one, will want to play dr2 again, this is just a cheap way to encourage replayability, when players already will want to reply it anyways...
@ Valas_Azuviir I was wondering about the same. I thought everyone in english speaking countries or in the USA and the UK at the very least would know what an IED is by now.
*frowns* No offense, but how can he not know what an I.E.D. is? They've been all over the news for what.. 6 to 9 years now? Heck, by the end of 2007, they accounted for over 40% of coalition deaths in Iraq. If, it were some "obscure" prototype weapon, sure then not knowing about them is fine, but these things have seen mass use since WW2, (the Belarussian Rail War in '43-'44) have been used extensively in Vietnam, The Northern Ireland conflict, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and even Chechnya (etc). Hell, the Oklahoma bombing was done by way of I.E.D. so it's not as if it only occurs in non-Western countries.
Oh god, I'm going to be trying to combine everything. This is like a horror movie version of an adventure game. God, I love it.
looks nice, tho i must complain about that 1st weapon they combined, was it so hard to put 2 chainsaws on the table cuz in the final product there were 2 chainsaws on the paddle...
0_0 too awesome. The first one is already great. This one is even more awesome. I'm glad it's coming to PC too. Hope it's a good port
