Son of a... you know, with all the "support" Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja supposedly threw behind Nintendo for 3DS and Wii U, I was expecting them to announce DOA5: Ultimate for Wii U. Maybe even as an exclusive. Now, it's finally happening, but ONLY for 360 & PS3? As in, ONLY for the systems that had the original version...

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. NG3: Razer's Edge turned out to be your typical Nintendo home console "exclusive". Shows you just can't believe anything game companies say.

This kinda crap has been going on since the N64 days. Nintendo needs to get off their a** and do something about this. Enough is enough. If they REALLY want Wii U to succeed - they NEED to coax 3rd parties into TRULY supporting their home console the way 3rd parties do for competing platforms.

Anyway, I'm super stoked about DOA5: Ultimate regardless. Momiji is FINALLY going to be in DOA! HELL YEAH! \m/ \m/ I'm really hoping Rachel will be included, too.

This is the exact reason that I haven't bought the original version of DOA 5 yet. I've learned to just hold off on buying fighters on release date because they always do something like this less than a year afterwards. I just wait to but the "upgraded" version instead.

@mechag2 It kind of looked like a 3DS version when I watched that video.

I honestly thought it was a Vita game till I read the release info at the end.

You know, I'm actually surprised someone hasn't mentioned the lack of a Wii U version sooner. That said, I think it just goes to speak to the state of the platform as a whole right now. Since hardly anything Wii U related is selling (including NG3: Razor's Edge), no one feels the need to support the system. Honestly, I don't think Nintendo can do anything with third parties until it steps up to the plate and support the system MUCH better itself. Not that I see it doing much to convince most third parties to change their tune on the system anyways...

A Wii U exclusive DOA would have been one of the few non-Nintendo games that would have made me take a little more notice to the console, so I understand where you're coming from. That being said, I'm also pretty dang excited about DOA5U, and in particular, the inclusion of Momiji to the group.
