The trailer makes me want to buy it. On top of good combat, I like games with a good story, and lots of emotion and this trailer certainly makes it out that this game has everything that I want. Oh.... wait.... It's dead island.... I think i'll wait for the review and then decide whether it's worth my time.
Was looking forward to good trailers for this game but now that I know how bad this franchise is it has lost its touch.
People always say how buggy the first one was but i honestly played through it all without even noticing, maybe I turn a blind eye to things more than others but i loved it, from start to fin.
I think these guys should be involved in some zombie movie in the future. The Know how to strike an emotional chord with these trailers. I Just watched the one from Dead Island and watched this one again. Combined with a good script it could be more than just shotgun-in-your-face awesome zombie action and really tell a story at the center of all the fun. I remember the remake for Dawn of the Dead having some of those emotionally stressing moments.
PD: I loved the first Dead Island but I HATED all the suitcase looting.. so awful.
SMDFH notice how the boobs are still intact and looks perfect and its always like this with all zomies the tits re alwas unaffected, thank the lawd
Just been playing the original on PC and really enjoying it - Dead Island Riptide wasn't even on my radar until a few weeks ago, now it's definitely one I will be looking out for later this year.
Funny how the trailer has such a different impact when it hasn't been "zombie-baited"!
First game was alright. Good enough to warrent me trying out this game, but will wait for a price drop since I have too many other games I've yet to play (curse you steam!!)
Wow, these guys really know how to make a trailer. Now just make the game close to that and you'll have a winner!
With all the technical flaws the first Dead Island had, I have to admit, I had a blast with that game. I'm looking forward to Riptide. Hopefully it will be more polished than the first one though.
I was hooked when i saw the first cgi of dead island last time, but this time no sir i know better they better make it right and good otherwise i am not buying dammit :P
I played the first one...It was avg, nothing special. And the Moving trailer from the first one was a huge rip off from the experience, as there was no emotional part to it. I'm probably not going to buy the 2nd one
They haven't learned anything have they. I will bet you that absolutely nothing but the vague hint of a setting is actually in this game.
I have no idea why they make such an emotive trailer for such a game quite comical at times.Although, as I have yet to see any actual game footage from this new Dead Island game, my point concerns the last game more.Although, if Riptide captures a smidgen of emotions that this trailer, I'll be a very happy man.
I'm sorry but the people at deep silver are fucking frauds. Why oh why create a beautiful emotive trailer, for a game that will contradict it in every way possible. Live action and CGI trailers annoy me. But there tolerable when they at least represent the game. I mean look at borderlands 2's new live action trailer. Its basically the game. Nice trailer by the way.
@kingelite78 It blends in with the first one or did you play it? think twice before you type your tripe
@Nikosnik123 Your opinion. Many people really likes the game. There are probably games you like that many don't.
@EliOli I completely agree. I wonder how many of the issues with it was due to the choice of engine.
I would have enjoyed it even more if I didn't end up playing with myself :(
@frozenux Fool me twice...you can't get fooled again!
@frankynyny First one was awesome, you're probably one of those who puts the "story" above gameplay.
@Peppytron you will be able to find the remains of that boat somewhere in the game and that will be the only reference.
@arsenal1111 emotive? Really?
DUH. Atari has been doing this to us since back in the day. Remember the ads on the cartridges? Nintendo too! Games looked NOTHING like the art for the ads!! It's still going on! Even Halo does it! BF3 came close to not doing it.. haha
@splinter10 are you really that mad toward a trailer?? the damn trailer shows really well the point of the game,youre stuck on a island infested with zombies,either you fight to survive,get eaten,or end your days the way youll suffer less,and thats what they picked while our character will stand out as a hero and live through hordes and hordes of infested brain-eaters.
@splinter10 sorry but this game is from techland not deep silver
@GamerOuTLaWz Not that bad. Just mad enough. I understand fully what you're saying mate. However this choice you speak of "ending your days" that choice. The level of despair one feels to make such a choice, I doubt will be represented in the game. Therefore Its almost pointless stuffing this trailer with all this emotion and depression.
@sseba66 What? piss off man.
