I can see this game running into the same problems as Skyrim's random quests. While the idea to have a game that you can play multiple times and will be different every time may seem intriguing, it makes for a very boring story. The need to fit every possible story outweighs the need to have a good story and then it all becomes just another generic "go here and do this" kind of thing.
Boo scares and a 2 hour playthough if you take your time and actually explore? It doesn't sound like there's much of a mystery to this island. I'll most likely pass. Even the guys in the interview sound bored talking about it.
Nope...walking running...scared ya game...after slopping through A machine for pigs just don't want another open door, look there, open this, Boo game
i wish they had some genuine creepy music... they dont make good creepy video game music anymore its so sad....
It was hard to get through the guy who had the smacky/spitty mouth sounds the entire time while talking. Hopefully this game coalesces to something good, but there really wasn't much to the video.
The abandoned hospital sure looks creepy. But guess what there's really nothing in there that would scare the shit out of you.No terrifying face offs with your worst nightmare,no interesting puzzles along the way,no mystery solving just moving around aimlessly as @slickr says,"like a headless chicken".
Seems very boring, you literally don't do anything except walking around corridors like a headless chicken.
So let me see if I got this right. You're never in danger, you're just walking around corridors generated at random...it better have one hell of a story...
It looks really low production value as well. Hold your compass with one hand, the green light with the other hand and open the door with the other...oh, wait...is she telepathic?
What the hell is this game?
This looks ridiculously boring. Where is the actual game play? This idea of games being "psychological" amounts to cliche hallucinations and things flying around the room. You have to be more subtle than that. Its no different from jump scares now. For it to be psychological it should come from the emotions of the characters.
The second-time-play is never going to be the same... It all gets mixed up... So like the guy said, don't worry, youtube aint spoiling it, if u see an apparition startle u on youtube...it will happen 10 feet away when u play it for yrself.
No need for them spoilers(logo) with games procedurally generated & for Maxwell, as he said, "u can live out multiple instances....FOR LIFE!"
I was excited when heard this was coming to PS4. Having now seen some gameplay, that excitement has definitely diminished
well i dont see any progression, or something new on this game this is the 4th video i think i look and its always the same, it isnt special anymore
Really worried about this game. The atmosphere seems really impressive, but despite seeing three different gameplay videos, I have yet to see any form of threat to the player. Breaking windows and flickering lights are fine for the occasional release of tension, but if nothing is out to get you, to make you want to avoid something terrible, aren't we just wondering a passive environment?\
Maybe I've been playing a little too much Outlast, but I'd love to be chased down some of those creepy hallways.
@Geminon might be..But doesnt hurt to try it out.
@uglypinkmoose you lack imagination, methiks
Yeah, I realize that while I love the setting and atmosphere of games like this, Outlast, Amnesia and Paranormal, the gameplay just isn't for me.
@randalmcdaniels if video does not work, you need to disable Ad Block, just for the site. Sorry to say that, but GS have to make money somehow.
@miser_cz VR has failed in the past and it will fail in the future.
You have to disable Ad Block.
@riobastian Or get the download helper add on.
@riobastian Download them from GS's Youtube channel =)
@iampenguin Methinks you've never played one of these randomly generated map games before.
