The protagonist of this game feels like a traditional vampire with his supernatural abilities yet the game has a modern/ near distant future setting. I'm kind of getting an Assassin's Creed/ Prototype vibe from this game. I hope it does well considering the lack of vampire games in the market.
This game could be a surprise or a big flop. Have no confidence in it yet though because they aren't revealing any gameplay footage.
Eh, A vampire that needs stealth? Dafuq? He's no Kain, but I still expect a power character in a vampire. However, I'll get it as long as he doesn't sparkle in the sunlight.
I do wish there would be some trailers about the story. Good vampy powers and decent combat coupled with nice graphics are ok, but without a proper story, what point is there to play a vampire-themed gamed? I mean, you want to explore the world of darkness and the fascinating characters that inhabit it.
V:tM for the uninitiated.
Kinda pisses me off that it appears to so blatantly copy from previous incarnations, without acknowledgement or reference to the lore from which those were derived - seems entirely disrespectful.
@Dawn_oF_Doom I am curious about the story too. But, to be fair, people always complain about story/CGI trailers with no actual gameplay, and in this case we've seen a lot of gameplay already, that's not a bad thing. I recommend visiting the official website - there's a demo video there, where you learn a bit about the story. After seeing it, I'm afraid that your expectation on "exploring the world of darkness" may be frustrated :/ The main character is a just-became-vampire guy trying to find out how/why it happened, dealing with an intricate conspiracy and an anti-vampire police squad that is searching the same Vampire Lord you are hunting for those answers. There are some RPG elements (dialogue options that may take you to different paths, character's skills progression and so), but it looks it's 90% a linear stealth adventure where you bite people for silent kills instead of stabbing them; and use super powers instead of weapons and gadgets. But it looks like good fun :)
