i am far from scared just disappointed i beat dark souls on my new game + offline ...the whole thing no gliching or cheap tricks no mage class just me my elite armour , velik robes and black night sword i have a level 147 one @ 118 and 93 spent probably 300+ hours easy on souls think of the reefer money spent with all those hours of gaming being able to fast travel anywhere right from the beginning sucks B&!!$ ive played demon souls and what i liked better about darks souls was the open seemless world ala metroid compared to a hub structure i mean you open up a short cut through the catheral before the first bell. people are fing lazy and it makes me sick being able to respec is also BS unless it cost half a mil in souls i remember hitting an npc and having to pay 65,000 just to make amends so it better be ridiculously expensive to respec i dont care how many time you die and from what im not you its been made to be more accessible and inviting to the masses .... horrible horrible desicions i make fun of all my friends for not having the patience to beat the intro of dark souls people have been spoon fed for too long and look whats happened side note playin the hell outta pixel dungeon its a fun distraction so good
I played in the closed beta, and there are DEFINITELY a lot of tweaks, in a good way. They've tweaked almost all animations, feel of movement, combat, etc. From what I saw they had a very good idea of striking a balance between staying with Dark Souls and tweaking things.
Ahhhh. I'm so excited. I'm glad that it looks and feels like Dark Souls. I hate it when companies find an awesome formula and then feel the need to screw it up. "Can you still make magic if it's just more of the same" Yes! Not forever perhaps, but with a sequel. Yes.
C'mon.. You guys played it and you're still clueless by the end??
Well, here's to more RPG magic and dying.. Lots and lots of dying!
More Dark Souls will never be a bad thing for me even if it's more of the exact same , bring it on! i can't wait for this game..
@LordCrash88 Why is it ALWAYS the guys with witcher pictures who come to Dark Souls videos to hate? I personally think the Witcher 2 sucked, featuring absolute hack writing, with an annoying and cheesy main character. It felt like a nerdy 13 year old boy's power/sex fantasy. But I don't go to Witcher videos to announce that. I will sit here and hope the Witcher 3 is awesome. I'd suggest you do the same for the Souls series. Ain't nothing wrong with two good RPGs coming out.
@ashlake I don't see the problem with liking both games for what they are. Simply because LordCrash is overall a troll who just rags on games because he needs attention doesn't mean all fans of The Witcher series are self-absorbed douchebags.
@Conscrumptured Do we know each other?
Actually there are many games I like. Dark Souls is just not one of them. Get over it. ;)
@baldy40 True. But I wasn't talking about Skyrim, was I?
@ashlake Well, you answered to my post so are not better than I am. And you might got me wrong. I play and like many games, Witcher only one of them. Still I don't like Dark Souls and I have every right to state it here. And I don't know why should I like Dark Souls 2 since it is almost exactly the same as Dark Souls 1 and I didn't like it. That makes absolutely no sense ;)
SKYRIM Is one of the most overrated video games in history. :D
Even with all the mods added still crappy combat don't come close to Souls series
I hate how protracted the marketing is for games these days. They announce a game months or even years before release and by the time it comes out you feel like you've already played it for about 30 hours.
I've lost all interest in this game simply due to over-saturation.
@pongley I don't think they've revealed as much as you think they have. There's going to be plenty of surprises.
@pongley I do not understand why you or anyone would be oversaturated. We all know that the combat has not really changed. The real surprises lie in the world and enemies.
@cooolio @skytrot@pongleyWell I did say that it was too much for my liking. You may not have found it revealing and that's alright. To me personally, they have revealed a tonne of NPCs, Bosses and several locations in the game. In fact, there's a already a whole lot of concept art released. I want to go into the game as blind as possible and as such have chosen not to view any Dark Souls II trailer, video or interview. I want to be surprised and not go OH YEA that's the place I saw in that trailer or OH that's the NPC that showed in that video.
@pongley While I agree with you that Namco has revealed a little too much for my liking, you do have a choice to ignore them and go on a media blackout. That's what I did and I know absolutely nothing about the game apart from my time playing in the beta and the first trailer.
what?! First? Looking forward to the PC release of this title, lets hope it's more Dark Souls in a good sense.
