maaan this game looks sick considering this video for it. not a bad game unless u try when i comes out in the nexr 22 more days
@bassbomber20 I agree with all your comments...but i'd still rather play on a 55' screen with surround sound blasting in my living room *shrugs*
@Hm1911 the consoles have more exclusives not because of the piracy(witch is on the same level on consoles as on pc) but because Sony and Microsoft pay fine money to have those exclusives. Also one of the bigger reasons is a less demanding platform where companies can use same engines that are easier to optimize and the systems are in general much less demanding than what a solid pc can offer this days. Its very simple less cost more money, its capitalism there is no favoritism between platform on some other basis. Also the time when people said you need 2000$ to properly play on pc are long gone. I can build you a pc for 500$ that will run all games on today's market on medium-high on your HD screen in full resolution without a fuss and they will look better then there console cousins. Not to mention you wont need to upgrade very soon since most games are done for consoles and therefor are limited in there development. You can also connect a 360 gamepad witch is supported in all games if that's your thing and the games cost less from 15-30% via various cd-key stores in digital version. So in time you end with a better multi-functional system over a year for a same price. In the end I own a ps3 too because of some exclusives but I do prefer pc because I can vouch you in the long run its a cheaper and better alternative in every aspect. Just my 2c. I'm no fanboy just my personal experience since I was lucky enough to own both at the same time.
@0Mastermind_ Im an avid PC gamer and I somewhat agree with you. There are certain games that just play better on consoles...mainly the 3rd person type games. (gta, fable, Assassins creed, ect ect) But as for FPSs, RTSs and RPGs, those are far better and far superior on PCs...but recently we been seeing all this console porting crap and really dumbing down the games. Imagine playing a ps3 game but it has the specs of a ps2 game...thats often how pc players feel.
@RE4GreatesGame You know, I actually laughed at your comment. The sheer ignorance of a statement like yours is enough to boggle the mind. Consoles selling more units then PC/laptops? What planet are you getting your info from? "Gartner said it expected total PC sales of 366.1 million units in 2010, a 19.7 percent increase from the 305.8 million units shipped in 2009." Console Sales figures from 2009: Wii: Total: 34.2 million Xbox: Total: 25.4 million PS3: Total: 15.5 million So again, consoles out-selling PC's huh? All info easily searchable on Google my friend.
@RE4GreatesGame PC's lack games? O rly now? Type Playstation 3 in the search bar, it will result in 2,221 Games. Type in Xbox 360, it will result in 377 games. Type in PC, and it will result in OVER 14,776 GAMES!!!! Now you're saying that PC lacks varied games? O plz, get real!
Well, as soon as Crysis 2 comes out, good bye CoD and all your campers... Because of this video, you are dead to me...
@bassbomber20, I never said PC isn't technologically ahead of consoles. If I did I would be lying. However, as someone who avidly plays both PC and console games, I'd say that I honestly have much more fun with the consoles' libraries. Of course, this comment will inevitably be thumbs downed, since PC gamers just can't stand anyone not declaring the PC to be the greatest thing ever and that its players are part of some master race. Also, I'm not missing out on anything. Anything that matters, that is. The console versions still look spectacular and as long as the gameplay and story are good I'll be perfectly content.
i personally dont feel like spending $1,600 on a PC to play WOW and a slightly better version of a game... ill stick with my PS3 that was $300 and a lot smaller than a super PC.
PCs don't lake more varied games are you joking me? CPUS control anything in aerospace technology like airplane rutters and mechanisms for launching missles. I don't think your xbox64s or ps64s are even capable as being used as plates to eat. Look at how horrible the internet access on all those consoles are. One day all these consoles are just going to be computers. They already try to mock them in many ways as it is. It's just a matter of time. I'm not hating on consoles just correcting dummies.
@bassbomber20 dude u r right..pcs will be alwayz be way ahead of consoles,,though i have a ps3,then also the quality and variation one can get on a pc is superior than a console...ps u can do tons of other stuff on a pc.
@0Mastermind_ Actually you couldn't be more wrong buddy. PC's are generations ahead of consoles both in visuals and control and always will be, this was even stated by the devs making Crysis. If you're a casual "gamer" then fine, console is for you. I personally however don't enjoy watered down content in my games. If I were you, I would be screaming for a massive overhaul in console tech because you're missing out. Your super awsome 1080p? We had that back in the 90's...
@mildoo Actually you are wrong. The consoles were an afterthought this time around, game was built for the PC from the ground up first thing.
its all about the single player for me,the perks are just just a cod copy, its been all setup for console players,i could be wrong tho. i love crysis, its such a good game, but i cant get it to run good on windows 7,will deffo be buying this anyway. and the beta is now freely available on torrent sites and rapidshare sites etc
very nice, just too bad they showcased the sliding cuz i won't feel so special when everyone's doing it
@eastwoodmaniac Neither you nor I who judge other people. If a dictionary won't convince you, how could I?!! I should have highlighted "Such uses are TODAY broadly accepted in STANDARD ENGLISH." STANDARD man; not colloquial or some pidgin! Your way is not only formal, but EXTREMELY formal. Who knows? Perhaps another 10 years and it'll become obsolete or even archaic. It's the 21st century man, not the 14th. Even Shakespeare would say such use is old.
@warrio5 the poor state of the PC market is the result of piracy man, nothing more. No game, but no game, can avoid being pirated whether pc, xbox360, psp and recently even ps3; but the pc is much more common because the consoles require... experts, which are few.
@ _el_Greco_ bulletstorm? f'that It's all about Deus Ex Human Revolution will easily be game of the year 2011!
01:36 LOL... Who's that loser!! :D overall It's awesome demo, although it's captured on 360 with 720p, but It looks amazing, can't wait for 1080p version. :P
@advanracer speaking about FPS, real gamer is an experienced and skilled long time online FPS player on the only true FPS platform, PC.
@Hm1911 There are those who know when to use use it and then there are those, lazy of mind, who find it too confusing and would rather have it abolished than risk looking foolish. All I see are excuses where a little applied knowledge should be. Time for you to jog on now.
@SPBoss i'd sell the 980x while you can and grab an nf200 SB when intel fix the fault :| you could grab another 580 with the profits! my two cents. please dont take offence.
@eastwoodmaniac (A Note from Oxford Dictionary of English, 2nd Ed.) "USAGE: 1. A continuing debate in English usage is the question of when to use 'who' and when to use 'whom.' According to formal grammar, 'who' forms the subjective case and so should be used in subject position in a sentence, as in 'who decided this?' The form 'whom,' on the other hand, forms the objective case and so should be used in object position in a sentence, as in 'whom do you think we should support?;' 'to whom do you wish to speak?' Although there are some speakers who still use 'who' and 'whom' according to the rules of formal grammar as stated here, there are many more who rarely use 'whom' at all; its use has retreated steadily and is now largely restricted to formal contexts. The normal practice in modern English is to use 'who' instead of 'whom' (and, where applicable, to put the preposition at the end of the sentence): 'who do you wish to speak to?;' 'who do you think we should support?' Such uses are today broadly accepted in standard English." Thus, since the man in this trailer is neither an attorney in a court of law, nor the Pop of the Vatican, he can absolutely use "who" in place of "whom. Capiche?
My 980x and sli 580's are going to slaughter this game ;) I'll buy it for the ps3 aswell so I can play when my gf is hogging the computer, real gamers don't stick to one platform (although the pc is the best :P)
@talonkin Counter Strike source has a nice system that kicks campers so crysis 2 might have the same thing ;)
@Hm1911 'Who' and 'whom' aren't optional in the same way that 'he' and 'him' aren't optional. The simple rule to remember is that if the question is 'who' then the answer is 'he'; if the question is 'whom' then the answer is 'him'. I used the answer "he is shooting he" to demonstrate how the inquiry is at fault. Hope that helps.
Camping in a corner waiting for someone to pass by and then shooting them in the back... NO POINTS...
By the way this is how you can tell you're looking at a preview of a quality game. Never pre-order without looking at an in depth video.
0Mastermind "Every platform is equal" The equal u said, what is it? For me, there're no equal between the game platforms at all. First, if we talk about the the graphic quality, it's always PC on the lead because console can't even match what PC can do. For example, do u know why the original Crisis didn't appear on console; the answer is that EA intend to publish on every platforms at first, but it turn out that the console graphic can't handle the game well so they have to cancel it. That make me wonder, consoles already can't handle the first, so how can they handle the second, especially when there're a huge change in graphic lol. Back to the topic, when we say about the game market for PC and consoles, consoles always have more than PC. Even the founder of PC's OS turn their back and focus on XBOX instead, also there're a lot of good game titles that end up as PS3 or XBOX360 only, when every single good titles on PC soon or later will also available for consoles( except for RTS since consoles can't do what we call "strategy" on PC lol).
This is going to be the Year of the Stealth Shooters. Because, Not only does Crysis have "stealth" but also.. Killzone3, and Ghost Recon3. Seems like Crytek has started the trend of the Stealth Shooter Genre. So what defines a "real gamer" cyclops1337? What if they own all the consoles except for the Wii and Built their own i7980x powered gaming pc? Are they up to those standards? How bout just accept the fact that, a gamer is someone who enjoys playing video games. That's as REAL as it Gets.
