I was surprised when they made the original Crysis cuz it was a very high budget game and most people needed to shell out big bucks just for new top of the line hardware to even run it. You don't really see PC exclusive games coming out with that kind of backing. Hopefully this game won't be diluted by the console market.
BalkanBoyo its a special version of the game that gives u more stuff and they have limited supplies of it
@Coldkilla9 i don't know whether your talking about the US, but in the UK the limited edition is the same price as normal £39.99...for a limited time till they all sold obviously, seeing as its there (in the UK) for same price, its just like a free bonus for getting it early....myself and most of my friends already have it on pre-order from Game
@JDFS the hologram isn't infinite.. its limited with an indicator saying how much is left over. Plus this game looks more bland than the original, thats what consolization does, main thing I notice is hardly any foliage because consoles can't handle that. It's also gone from an open world game to a corridoor shooter.. If this game comes out worse than warhead you can blame it on consoles
@JDFS In halo reach I never camped once with the hologram (Well unless it was a sniper match). I hardly ever used it but when I did it was funny to run around confusing people and assassinating them.
Hey EA, I'm really happy for you,and I'mma let you finish bu--- XDD Not srsly this could be one of the best multiplayers of all times... OF ALL TIMES! I just hope that we won't get too distracted with all those graphics and be killed in the midle of the game.
That hologram thing is the worst feature ever made in a game, you want a crappy multiplayer? add holograms... imagine all these kids camping like homos overusing holograms everytime they get the chance, the idea is nice I do agree but not in a game.

Alright so.. Day 1 Access to: Bonus XP & to the Weapon Attachment.. Which means by Day 7 or 14 everyone will have that. So the "Limited Edition" doesn't really "give" anything there. Oh and a Weapon Skin.. oh my, dozens of games have user generated skins for free... and a different graphic for your Dog Tag, oh my thats surely worth $10-$20. Add a Limited Edition map, or add 30 minutes of single player game play... then Illl bite. But so far - its a rip off.
hopefully the multiplayer wont be such a crap as in the 1st crysis ... and what all about that extra armour on the nano suits i think they dont look that cool anymore since the nanosuit looks like the muscle structure but with the armour on it it dont shows the cool details on it :)
@MEDzZ3RO I don't necessarily believe that it is due to illegal downloading that is causing the decline of PC gaming, I just think that PC gaming is being over taken by console gaming because people often say consoles are cheaper and easier to maintain, and of course the developers are going to go wherever the money is, which results in usually either; really bad console to PC ports of a game, or console-exclusive games. :S
@fire556 You say that as if Black Ops has established itself as the pinnacle of shooters and this is a new franchise. Black Ops aint even out yet and although COD4 was ground breaking at the time and the following games have all been good we seem to be forgetting its treyarche this time round and they've never been as good as IW, I am still expecting good things but those of you who arent noob gamers will remember that crysis 1 was and still is widely considered the greatest shooter of all time, it just didnt reach the console market. But talking as if crysis 2 may be "as good as black ops" is a bit patronising when we're talking about a game of this calibre and pedigree vs COD, a good but kind of predictable series
@sbdb You're not wrong but you're comment is irrelevant on this video. These are prerendered cut scenes, this is in game footage
@BlindIllusion Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't MW2 on PC sold at a raised price? All the illegal free downloads PC gamers tend to do is one of the reasons PC gaming is in decline. In general the PC is losing alot of its PC only developpers. It's a shame but who can blame the developpers.
Stop yelling y'all how amazing it is, don't you know after years of gaming that all these trailers make the game look a lot better than it really is...sigh
@MEDzZ3RO PC games will never become standard price like that of the XBOX360 or PS3, because they are too easy to download, when a developer releases a game on PC, they will probably anticipate that 40% of users have downloaded it.
Late March 2011 heh? Good. Close to my birthday, so i can put it on my wishlist. Next to the Airbus A880 and the Bugatti Veyron. More chance someone buys me the game, that way... JJ
I'm just saying here but that hologram seems to be a pretty obvious ripoff of the Halo:Reach hologram. still, this game looks great ad i can't wait to get it.
march 22 or 25th? also if you pay for the special edition you only get these things a little earlier than everyone else so whats the point?
@madgame23 It's not EAs style.Well it hasn't been for the last few years.PC games in general though will rise in price though.
@MEDzZ3RO, true but with a changing trend in PC based games. Companies will start charging more for these things. Activision started it, and with that success everyone else will follow.
@madgame23 Paying extra?;you do realise that its other 2 large fps franchises (Battefield and Medal Of Honour) both had Limited Editions and didn't charge a penny more then the original edition.
I just hope the game supports my sound card which the last one did not and it was unbearable to play.
