I really tried to give the first bioshock a chance.... but it was so damn boring. Now I keep wanting to give this one a chance but even trailers/videos do nothing for me.... I just dont see how it gets the crazy hype.
@equili3rium Don't worry, 2K is not going to let the single-player suffer. Remember, they're having Digital Extremes work out the multiplayer (with 2K watching over the development but otherwise keeping busy with single-player), so there's not gonna be that annoying sense of single-player betrayal that's become so common. Well, at least it's highly unlikely. Fingers crossed!
My guess (and a cynical one at that) is that since they are hyping up the multiplayer side of the game, that is going to take some of the play time from the single player experience. I hope I am wrong but the recent trend of short single player with added multiplayer to make up the "value" doesn't show any signs of abating until the public get together and ask for separate versions (like Crysis Warhead coming with the separate Crysis Wars).
I hope they improve the sound effects on the guns. the last bioshock game had very poor weapon sounds. The tommy gun especially did not feel as powerful as it should have do to the poor sound....atleast it showed bullet wounds on people when you shot them*cough*modernwarfare2*cough*
It looks really good... my prayers for some improvement on an already good game have been answered! :D
This game and Mass Effect 2 are the reason i am not hanging by a rope right now. I'll give it another few months.
I can't wait, i just played though the first one again and enjoyed it just as much as the first 3 times i played it. Ive never expected a sequel so much in my life!!!
WoW I cannot wait for this game! For me Bioshock made me remember why it is that I play games. I just wonder how the health and reloading mechanics are going to work, seeing as the melee is mapped to the previous heal button, and with both the plasmids and weapons being out, how do you alternate reloads/refills? O.o
I'm totally for it being the same but more of Bioshock. There was NOTHING wrong with that masterpiece.
That's not a valid statement danopix. That's the equivalent of saying Modern Warfare 2 looks the same as Modern Warfare. I will say, however, that my biggest worry about B2 is the new hacking system. Everything else looks fantastic.
I hate to say it, but it looks too much like BioShock. I was hoping for more. I'll probably still get it though. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. BTW the aussie chick is a cutie!
