Cross-Platform Action - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Gamepad vs Keyboard & Mouse! We make our own makeshift cross-platform setups to see how Counter-Strike: Global Offensive theoretically would have played were this functionality in the game.
great game i play every day on xbl, just wish it had more maps and gametypes maybe they are comming soon.
@Madmac88 wew so cool
Playing multiplayer online PC you have a fraction of a second to get on target before you are worm food. Unless you are just a camper that hides and puts his reticle in one spot and just wait for someone to walk/run into his crosshairs. Not everyone uses WSAD to move, I don't. The only movement keys I bind to the keyboard are strafe left and right.
There are some very good points all round and yes in the end it does come down to skill to a degree. BUT, you have to remember, what is more precise hands down? Your thumb controlling all of your aiming or your WHOLE HAND controlling your aiming? The answer is obvious and nothing you can say will change that. So in my opinion the best of the best mouse keyboard player does have an advantage over the best of the best controller player. Yes you can put the sensitivity up for a controller but it will never be as precise. Just my opinion.
Funny how they're trying to compare the different controls for PC's and Console's but they really end up talking about skill.
This isn't a fair comparative video.. the guy with the controller has clearly never held one before one his life. I've been playing console coming up to 10 years now; I'd hold my own against PC players on cross platform games. Really, I'll gladly admit that you get an advantage with a keyboard and mouse over a controller but the advantage isn't that huge. Well, against a noob with a controller it is.
I'm mediocre at best when it comes to online shooters. I can't play them for crap on a console controller so I bought a mouse controller for Xbox 360 and the PS3. Mouse and keyboard is more accurate, yes. It doesn't make you invincible though. I play Bad Company 2 all the time with my mouse controller. The one for the 360 is way better than the one I have for my PS3, it feels like PC aiming. I get my butt kicked all the time though. It makes it easier for me to PLAY the game. It certainly didn't make me better.
so why couldn't you have the OPTION to play the ps3 version with a mouse and keyboard/pad against pc users???
i think the CS will be great with a move controller on PS3 and it will be better than a mouse and keyboard
pair a game mouse with a belkin nostromo n52te instead of using your keyboard and you are unbeatable
this vid is pure gold dust! and proves what everyone already knows . coming from the PC side of things and being use to the quick snap reflexes in a fraction of a second i can take between life and death. i can also easliy destroy everyone on my ps3 if im using the move sharpshooter . next best ting i wont play a console shooter any other way now.
Thank you for making this video, I have had arguments with console fan boys who say they would destroy people with a mouse and keyboard, now I have video proof that they are far from correct.
I"ve seen some players with gamepads that amazed me what they could do. I've been hardcore keyboard/mouse since the dawn of FPS games (well keyboard only at first), and I know what they're capable of. I always laughed off gamepad users but honestly some are very very good. On average though, there's no comparison.
great game even on consoles and at 1200 MS pretty cheap as well worth the money and worth a chance make's a big change from battlefield and cod.
I'm not gonna lie, this guy sucks with a controller. He would have lost against other controller players the way he plays.
@TopGunnas PC version... Endless maps and gametypes.
@Ultra_Taco Lol. Sensitivity isn't the only difference between an analog stick and a mouse.
@arsenal1111 Would you really? The PC version of CS:GO supports gamepads. I'm terrible at online FPS's anyway, and I'm almost always in the bottom of the ranks when I play, but I'll gladly accept a challenge. Me with my mouse and keyboard vs. you with a controller.
@arsenal1111 HAHA..ok. There is just no comparison.
@obsequies You can do that actually. Use a mouse and a keyboard.
PS3 has always supported mouse and keyboard. Developers just ignore it.
Wait, what? They're using PCs and using Xbox controllers lmao xD
@Psycold lol he was mainly vs bots he wasnt even against many players we all know bots suck so this isnt a fair test i would match the best of pc against the best of consoles anyday. and the reason u PC gamers dont like consoles controllers is because u suck with them, not that the controller sucks u just suck with it just like console gamers would suck with mouse and keyboard. and another thing on halo 2 on PC i hear controllers have an advantage over mouse and keyboard so that just flushes your argument down the toilet theres no way to properly test mouse and keyboard vs consoles controller plain and simple.
This hardly proves anything, the guy with the control was just not good. If you are good with a control there is no reason you could not take on mouse and keyboard players. There is a little thing I like to use called stick sensitivity in the options
It honestly all depends on how you play it, not what you play it on.
@Assimilat0r NO it just shows how mouse and keyboard is a better control method for games that play in first person.
Its also better for third person games too IMO, hopefully they will also do a comparison of those too.
@Assimilat0r you should be proud of yourself for having a PC :D thats an awesome achievement
@jayjay444 haha, it is rare you come across someone as misinformed as yourself. Btw, Halo 2 was never even released for PC
@pelvist Its from my side just a meaningless trolling.
keyboard sucks for controlling FPS , especially when using wasd , controller is much better IMO , also only noobs keed the default sensitivity , if you learn to play with max sensitivity its just as easy to aim and turn as with mouse
@AmnesiaHaze Your comment wasn't about preference but about one being markedly more effective than another. This is false.
you need to accept that not everyone prefers what you do , i respect that you prefer keyboards , but let others prefer analog sticks , it's not like i dont have a choice , but i hate using keyboard and mouse for gaming after coming from work where i use them non stop , not even speaking about sitting comfortable
@AmnesiaHaze Keep telling yourself that.
