I miss greg kasavin...sure he has a slight stutter but you can tell that he really immersed himself in the games he reviewed and speaks as true gamer. These days reviewers care more about their presentation of the review than the game itself.
One thing that I love about Command and Conquer is that you can really see how the series progresses. A lot of the elements that were implemented in the earlier games were really refined in later ones, like how tech buildings changed from Red Alert 2 to Generals to C&C 3.
bad graphics? you kidding? Not only is this 2003 but the graphics arent much worse than Star wars empire at war made 4 - 5 years later. I welcome gaming companies going easy on teh graphics. It meens you can run teh damn thing. If the graphics are too crazy good, it meens no one gets to play it properly for liek 2 years afterwards. (Crysis, Arma 2, none of these could be played very well on release, on the highest of systems). If you play games just for awesome graphics, nothing else, you must seriously go through games, like they are lollies.
ug the starcraft virus reaches far i see..... good thing i got anti starcraft virus called warhammer 40k But on topic , one of the best and fun rts i ever did. If you looked away from the syncs ofc
Lol, when he was describing each of the factions in the game I couldn't help think of USA as the Protoss, GLA as the Terran, and China as Zerg.
This is indeed the greatest RTS game of modern warfare I've ever played,I can't wait till generals2 comes out.
Very nice graphics for 2003, but does it compare in gameplay to the newest Tiberium installment, Tiberium Wars... Makes me think...
to lonewolf1196: keep in mind that this game is 6 years old so of course the graphics look bad. But in 2003 those were nice graphics.
First time I heard of this game (was from a friend), I looked up this review and saw that intro excerpt: "In the modern world, great leaders resolve their conflicts with words." Words like: "S.C.U.D. Launcher." "Carpet bombing." "Tomahawk missiles." And I've loved C&C ever since.
I agree that he isnt explaining it very well. But this is really one of the greatest RTS games ever. I mean who cares about not having ´real human´ video scenes, i care about the gameplay itself and its really a strategic game. I really hope generals 2 will be released soon and it will it will be very good and keep the same pace :) From the c&c series. TIberium wars, red alert en generals and stuff. Generals + zero hour, is personally.... THE BEST.
