I prefer Witch hunter for the reason that you got to play with the character whatever he has or he is. I do not like the idea to make changes in the appearance or skill of your character. The reason Skyrim could not impress me to an extent is the characterization.
I agree it looks aa lot like dragon age. That said, Dragon Age was a good game. Hopefully this will be too.
What is the point of having a new story that does not correlate with the books and have no character creation? Not that I care about choosing the right nose for my dude. This game looks lame because the people just hack at each others life bars above the head. How about uncluttering of all the icons and crap. My Plasma TV will burn in!
No Lannisters as the protagonist? You have made an enemy today Atlus, and we Lannisters always pay our debts.
Combat animations and mechanics looks very annoying and unsatisfying. The character builds are also pretty standard. The slow down menu is very Witcher-esque, but doubtfully works as good. I don't really know what to make of this, but I CAN know that combat probably WON'T be the highlight of this game.
Still prefer the Amalur combat over this one. Beside the 2 already defined characters, a 3-rd fully customizable one (gender, class, looks, voice etc) would be an extra welcome option. A really inspired and unforgettable game doesn't rely on combat only. How about: Voice acting? Cinematics sustained, immersive story? Human interactions? Psychology? Moral choices? Romances? Alternate endings?...
Did I miss the whole turn-based-combat thing, or does it only look that way? Not that I mind, since DA Origins was great. But it looks a bit stiff and lifeless. I guess there is still time for more polish. The whole slow motion menu access during combat is very Witcher, no?
Looks interesting just not to sure how these characters fit in the overall plot. Will they fade in and out of the main plot line or have they their own plot? Are there 2 different stories as one is a crow and the other a red priest. Few shots contain a dog or is it Ghost and one of the companions is Jon, which would make sense as a lot of those 1st screens is at the wall.
Really hope this works - I so want it to be great and faithful to the spirit of the books like the TV adaptation.
Do you have to play as both of these characters in the game? A CRPG game already puts me off somewhat when I can't create my own character.....!
Definitely a lot like DAO, but i like the added flavor of time never fully stopping. Looking forward to it.
