The interactive enviroments aren't that exciting to me. They did something similar in Def Jam: Icon. It just ends up becoming too much a part of the game, and distracts from the actual fighting.
I'm still excited about this though. I like everything DC!
Yay: Catwoman is in "Injustice: Gods Among Us," claws and all!
I wonder if they will ever add in "Bane."
me gusta que añada personajes diferente a lo que siempre anda mostrando en todo contenido de dc universe no solo lo clasico
So, is this gonna be a Batman fighting game with a couple cameos from other dc "heroes" or are they planning on introduce new characters or just recycle the ones in games already out?
cat puns...didn't we learn our lesson from batman and robin? cool party! chill! let's kick some ice! etc etc etc.anyway, CB characters aren't enough to make me play a fighting game so i'll be leaving that to the people who know what they're doing.
Enough of the Batman characters already. This is supposed to be "GODS Among Us".... not "Circus Freaks Among Us".
For a Superhero game - most of the characters so far don't even have superpowers.
Umm......ok? A trailer for Catwoman, was that suppose to be her special at 0:50, getting kneed to face by Batman? Geez, Batman is basically Chuck Norris in a comic book
I love these games. everything looks perfect in them. but you know, somehow I can't look at Cat woman, Batman and Superman as a bunch of professional killer who try every weapon to kill their enemy... you can expect such behaves from mortal kombat characters but these characters.... I donno ... I can't imagine them like this :(
"Sir, the trailer for Catwoman is almost done. Is there anything you'd like us to add?"
"Hmmm... Have Batman knee her in the face, just for the hell of it."
the animations look very smooth, and i'm pleased with the environmental dangers in the maps, like the portal and the tank turret.
4th Batman character. You know Joker is going to be in it. They would be cazy to exclude him. He was my favorite in Mk vs DC but I really wish they would reveal some different character franchises. At least some sturdy staples. I definitely want to see Deathstroke, Bizarro SM, Green Lantern, Black Adam, Martian Manhunter
As much as I like fighting games, this gen of fighting games dont work well with standard PS3 and X360 controllers. And, I am NOT about to go spend 50 -200 bucks on a controller just to play a game.
Very happy to Selina added to the roster. I do think though that it's strange that ever since Brubaker left the comic she has her goggles pulled up away from her face nearly all the time. I imagine it's because she is infinitely more relatable with her face showing but it does seem to defy all sense to have her unmasked so much. That said, it is of course an exercise in madness to try to make "sense" of superhero costumes.
The new look is pretty interesting. The stylized pulled-back ears make her look more aggressive (think Bucky from Get Fuzzy). Adding tech to her look can be challenging but I like that they have added a few toys to repetoire while keeping her lithe. The cyborg-knee-boots things might take some getting used to. I know that no one can reasonably fight in thigh high leather boots but hey it's iconic. I really like the claw armguards however it seems odd at 17 seconds where they seem to be more flexible than you would imagine.
I do like that they have managed to make a corset "gadgety" without it being steampunk.
They aren't Batman characters so they probably won't make it in.
@Tripwolf Although I agree with you I have to say The Hulk and Iron Man are pretty bad ass. Although even then The Hulk is the only other DC guy I like apart from Catwoman (Halle Berry film excluded) and The Joker. Oh and Killer Croc. That's...pretty much it. But then like you said Batman pretty much is DC.
@Tripwolf You don't know DC comics very well if you think they don't have plenty of good characters, villains and heroes alike. If anything they need more attention to some of the lesser known characters. Marvel suffers from using the same worn out characters in all the Marvel games too so it isn't really like you can say they have a leg up over DC in this.
You don't know DC very well.
@Tripwolf I'll admit that Batman's rogue gallery is by far the most interesting in DC but they could stand to try harder on finding other villains. While other character's villains might not grab your attention as far as a good comic read goes, they would be more than adequate for a fighting game. Where's Metallo, Gorilla Grodd, Kalibak, Cheetah, Sinestro, Professor Zoom, Captain Cold, or Mongul? And if you are going to include Batman villains to this extent then where's Lady Shiva and Bane? Even on the hero side they're lacking. There's no Captain Marvel, Manhunter, Green Arrow, Etrigan, Orion, Aquaman, Plastic Man or Elongated Man, either of the Hawks, Zatanna, the Question, Black Canary, Red Robin, or Dr. Fate. I know you want to have some staple characters in a fighter but ya gotta give people variety as well.
She picked up a nearby rocket launcher on that part of that particular stage. The weapon only has temporary use; Cat Woman does not own it herself.
It's part of the whole idea of using "Environmental Hotspots" to attack or evade your opponent. That's a gameplay feature in "Injustice: Gods Among Us."
@PaulJanson OMG you just created the mash up that could destroy the universe. Chuck Norris is Batman!
@DarthLod 360 controller is just fine for fighting games imo.
Well then you are missing out. Liittle pastience, practice and learning and you will realise that cointrollers are possible for you to get used too. And if you was willing to go about and spend 50-200 bucks on a controller/stick then you definitely would not regret it.
@Scorpion1813 everything batman is the best about dc without batman dc would suck.
@horizonwriter I agree with you. It seems to be a common habit amongst a lot of games and movies, etc, to recycle characters, especially favorites, to the point that even the fanboys start getting sick and tired of seeing them. Variety is what I like and it's something that helps make a game interesting. Every time I play Soul Calibur for example I feel like I "have played this before" and while they are great games they need more characters and not just a few extra ones here and there. So again I definitely agree with you. Plus if you're a fan of the comics or whatever you want to see as many characters as possible. There's a greatly rewarding feeling when you look at something in-game and say "Oh wow! They included that/him/her/it!" because you feel it's not just a money magnet. It's a game made with the fans in mind.
Well stated, and I totally agree!
Batman brings down the DC universe.
Because of him, superheroes are made to be stupider and weaker than they are supposed to be, just to make Batman seem smarter and stronger.
For example: they make Superman into a dumb brute when he is actually smarter than Batman (Kryptonians are smarter than humans).
hanks to Batman we got this stupid RAGE thing going on in MKvDC story. Just so that Batman and his entourage could seemingly stand up to the likes of Superman, Shazam, a Thunder God, and a demon from hell.
Injustice is going to have something similar to try and explain whyy Batman doesn't die instantly when he gets slammed into the ground with a car, or punched into space.
Batman may be OK when he is contained in his own story without any superpowered characters. But as soon as they are added, the story just gets ruined by the "need" to make Batman better than the rest. And the reasoning behind it - fanboys!
