why do these hosts feel they have to inject a joke after everything the guest says? this is a mature title, why interview a guest like your trying to get laughs out of a room of 12 year olds?
I hope this is better than LoS, which wasn't a Castlevania game at all. I may give it a try, but I have a really sour taste in my mouth from the first one.
First,of all congrats to KONAMI for taking the time for now at least to honor this gen. Consoles and not like some disgusting publishers who show upcoming games for only next gen. Consoles like they are GOD'S gift to the world,a true honest giving game company. Again congrats. As for the issue that is presented right here, FORGET IT. A TRUE MASTERPIECE. A GOLD 10 AS OF NOW. NOT NEED TO SEE ANYMORE.A TRUE MONUMENTAL GAME THAT MANY GARBAGE.................SORRY PUBLISHERS CAN TAKE HOME FOR STUDY. Again very well done ,a great game ,can't wait to be played for many gamers of my age and not only!
this looks decent, but I´d love to see a new castlevania as a 2d platformer with graphics like dragons crown and the soul system from aria of sorrow.
So many people hate this game, god knows why (probably becasue it isn't their beloved SOTN) Well if you can possibly forget that game for 2 seconds you will love this new version. I've recommended it to every gamer I know (the first game obviously) and everyone who played it loved it.
It was over 20 hours long had great combat and good puzzles especially in the first DLC, my only beef would've been the fixed camera and no real exploration. Looks like they solved that. Would recommend this game to anyone
Got the platinum trophy for the first Lords of Shadow. It was complete torture. Castlevania stopped being fun at Symphony of the Night. And don't bother telling me about the Gameboy and DS ones. Those were just spin offs of Symphony of the Night. Lament of Innocence was the last passable Castlevania but the beginning of the downward spiral of the franchise. Castlevania is dead until I see a true horizontal platformer. I liked Contra Shattered Soldiers. That was nice to see on PS2.
"Die monster, you dont belong in this world" LOL exact words of Richter Belmont to Dracula in the opening of Symphony of the Night.... lame. And is this a meme? "Hes a vampire... he cant fly but can die when fall in abyss" LOL and dont this knight looks exactly as the angelic knights of DMC4 just golden?
I played Harmony of Despair recently. It's pretty sad to know we wont have Castlevania like that anymore because of that reboot
im a die hard castlevania fan, but havent played lord of shadows yet. While i like the lamont of innocence and curse of darkness games, they were mediocre compared to the rest of the franchise. Is lord of shadows better than those games?
@Derugs That comment obviously states that you have not played the first game.
@Evan0605 I have a tshirt that says "a miserable little pile of secrets" ;)
Have at you!
@WilHiteWarrior - People saying it wasn't really a Castlevania game. I couldn't care less, I thought it was one of the best games of its kind that have played in quite a few years.
@jeffrobin I could guarantee you if the very same fanbois hating on this game turned into 11 years old they would keep their mouths solid shut and enjoy the game like anything...simply put they are unable to remove their nostalgic goggles and get the illusion that the game is crap when its not....
Hating on a game because its not a horizontal 2D-adventure? Wow just wow...the first one was an extremely memorable game. Its sad how fanbois consider the game as crap just because its different than its predecessors..
LoS is one of this gens sleeper hits man. It's awesome! I enjoy the challenge of Paragon difficulty and getting all the upgrades.
But damn, I'm still trying to come acors a copy of Shattered Soldier =\
@RoGar-MFL Everyone is entitled to there own opinion no doubt about it. Aside from Symphony of the Night I disagree with everything you said. I can't speak for the DS ones never played them but the two on PS2 were pretty decent at least in my opinion. And the first Lords of Shadow was without a doubt the 2nd best Castlevania ever made behind SotN. That's my 2 cents anyway.
@RoGar-MFL I love Symphony of the Night,, everything about it.. I remember when I thought I had beat the game and then I realized I still could explore the 'reverse castle' that was awesome!!
Gameplay > Realism.
Hate that song, but it's f*cking Watchdogs that's posted all over GS, XMB, and the rest of the www (By that I mena adverts, not coverage).
@musalala Don't blame Microsoft, blame Google Chrome and Firefox for stealing the light from poor Internet Explorer!! LMAO!
@gaming_binge I really enjoyed Lords of Shadows. It's a quality game that is quite lengthy and gorgeous to look at. The gameplay is solid for the most part and depending on the difficulty provides a challenge. Story wise its also pretty sweet and I would totally recommend it. I have played SoTN and I thought it was okay, just not my personal taste. Definitely try out LOS and then get this good looking game!
@gaming_binge No it is not. Don't bother with the Lord of Shadows games. Just play God of War 1,2, and 3, then play Shadow of the Colossus. You will get the best modern, brutal, chain-slashing platformer out of God of War. And you will get the best "you are the little guy killing the giant monster" game out of Shadow of the Colossus. Seriously.. Lord of Shadows took the essence of those two masterpieces and watered them down to crap and made a game out of it.
@Greyslay @RoGar-MFL Anyone who likes Lord of Shadows must be younger than 30 years old and the original nes and snes games never really turned you into a gamer the way they did me. Reboots of classic gems just don't work for us veterans. I totally respect your opinion and support for Konami games is all good.
