no i don't like fps's that are meant to be realistic like bf or cod, something like crysis that has a story is okay but tps's like gow or tom clancy is awesome
I have never liked call of duty and i never will. TPS all the way (for the idiots out there that means third person shooter)
WAIT A SECOND!!! now I get it!! people fight because the MP!!! because BF BD is no good but the MP is another thing, how about, the history of MW with the BF MP and Vice Versa? that would make a lot more of sense to me. what you guys think?
Man... I used to be all fired up -- rooting for BF3 and slandering MW in my mind -- but damn, both of these games just look so fricken good. What a great time to be a gamer.
so this looks OKAY but bf3 looks way BETTER. but i think ill get it after the price goes down (in a couple years.)
@Meteora1991 Haha. You haven't got to tell me it's a dead franchise, I've been a preacher of that since MW1 - nothing changes. It's a franchise riding the wave of it's own success. I just meant the cut-scenes look alright. They're ugly don't get me wrong, but they're still pretty decent to watch. That doesn't equate to gameplay though, which is what my first comment was all about :P
So far I am still getting this game to play with friends online. Sh!tty food is always better with your preferred company, same goes for games... although I still think CoD plays better. (Battlefield beta just didn't win me)
@warhawk-geeby cut-scenes look good ??? dude wakeup its a dead franchise with washed out graphics everybody knows bf3 will look 10 times better than mw3 once both r selesed
@ Sgthombre While I think you may be exaggerating a bit when you say multi player only gamers are "ruining gaming" I do share your sentiment that the quality of single player campaigns in FPS games is lacking these days. I always play through the campaigns, I enjoy a story/objective based game rather than the turkey shoot (all-be-it a very pretty turkey shoot) that COD has become but there are other games out there that cater for that. What's ruining gaming for me is the amount of cr@p DLC and "weapon packs/skins" etc that's available ON THE DAY OF RELEASE!! If you've already made it, don't charge me extra for it you cheeky BA%$£*DS!! I don't mind paying for a new campaign content like the Mass Effect missions etc. 3 or 4 months after the game comes out or even paying for new multi-player map packs as it's genuinely prolonging the game experience and keeping it fresh but asking me to pay £3.50 for a bundle of 4 weapons and a new outfit?! That's about 10% of the price of the entire game!! Er, I seem to have gone off on a tangent.....
@ sgthombre I completely agree with you, I remember when campaigns were full in their entirety and multiplayer was a tacked on bonus, not the other way around.
@ aamir69 - possibly the most ridiculous and narrow minded post I've seen in a while! You're seriously suggesting that making a game where Americans kill Africans is instantly racist?! So, what you want is for developers to make sure that that white folks only shoot white folks for fear of being called racist? The act of a white person shooting a black person (or Chinese or Indian etc.) isn't racist - unless he's shooting him BECAUSE he's black etc. I'm pretty sure the Africans in the game are going to be bad guys, not just random innocent Africans. Some of the main Bad guys in the COD series have been white and American, so have a little perspective before wheeling out the racism card.
It feels that they invested some good time on the storytelling for this game. The single-player campaign seems promising.
Agree with people wondering how this gets criticized for it's "looks". MW3 looks pretty graphically amazing. And running at 60 FPS. So technically, I would say the devs have done an excellent job in that respect.
It looks cool but also looks really being there, seen that and done this... many times before. Will wait for the final release before passing judgement but the gameplay and graphics are kinda dated looking here imo. Needs something fresh to get me onboard yet again
They always make good single player campaigns, I don't see why this would be any different - can't wait! Too bad I get owned online...
I can't believe the release of both of these games is upon us already. Its seems like people have been battling over these two games forever now. It's almost going to be a sad day when there is no more COD/BF3 smack talk. The anticipation is always the best. Who's going to get the better over-all score on metacritic, which game is going to have better graphics/gameplay, which game is going to have better post game support, and which game is going to have better single player/mutliplayer? The questions are about to be answered, but the best thing is, we all pretty much know both of these games are going to get great scores. Can't wait to play both games. It's a good year to be a shooter fan indeed!
@MPplaysGuitar ... If by small percentage you mean every person I've ever met whoose owned COD, then yes, you're right. Oh... wait... you're not. You're completely wrong. What I'm saying is people like you who buy games like this and only play the Multiplayer and don't even give the single player a second look are ruining gaming. If people didn't have you're attitude, then studios wouldn't be able to get away with such a short campaigen, because in the back of their head they know about the select few who don't even touch it. That is why you and those like you are ruining gaming.
Im deff playing single player campaign idk how people buy the game and know absolutely nothing about the campaign cuz all they play is multiplayer im a story driven person and i been following capt price's adventures since the getgo since i was in highschool now that im out of shool have a job i can always find time for some good ol COD despite what people say about it and im eager to see what happenes in the story.....
this game is freaking unbelievable ....it keeps continuing. I love games who always shows excitement and keeping releasing.
Watching both trailers at the same time, I realize that MW3 is like watching a fantasy common action movie, then i think again in BF3 trailer and.. wow dude!!... tell me it's not real life footage.!
@aamir69 Except that in MW2, we killed Americans, in BO, we killed Brits. What actually is racism is if you kill everyone except Africans. That would be unfair!
Pros - MW3 single player is like playing a feature film Cons - MW3 single player lasts as about as long as a feature film
I just don't get why you guys keep trying to prove MW3 better than BF3... or vice-versa... I mean, just shut up and play them both...
I'm going to rent this game, I'm going to finish in 5 hours and see how the story ends, after that I'll never put my hands on it because I don't like "cut-scene oriented corridor games". Now let the thumbs down come!
YAY we americans will be killing those africans in this game...like people don't dislike africans enough already. Why these game developers cannot keep racism out of games? I am sure activision in their meeting said. "Germans? save them for WW2 games" "Russians? since we just had a cold war with them, just show that they are evil and corrupt". "Arabs? we have done this in MW" Who is left? "Africaaaans, yess nail them guys, Capcom has done it already, so no body will care about it if we do it".
It looks awesome, and the cut-scenes look brilliant. Aside from that though it's same old same old :/ Cut-scenes are good and all that, but I buy a game for the game play itself - and so far it looks IDENTICAL. That fact right there cannot be denied.
