lol i love it the game is very fun to play by the way it has a very nice story to it and cool that they added nazi zombie in it to but the graphics is not good well its a hand held game so the graphics could not be better but its still fun i give the game a 8.0
yuck; I hate anything that stoops to getting "celebrities" to promote things. Anyone that would only buy something because [insert celeb name here] is seen to play it.... I just can't describe what a foul taste that leaves in my mouth. I particularly cannot stand the Wii adverts at the moment with the Redknapp family and other "boybands" et-al jumping round like loons. If anything, those ads make me want to avoid the product altogether. I'm not saying it doesn't work for sales, clearly it does, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.
@lister82 It's called effective marketing dude. It's nearly christmas. You might not like it but getting a celebrity involved it might make some screaming pre teen girls decide to give COD a go. And if that means more girls play games, I'm all for it!
For the people talking about them not doing a review, Gamespot UK aren't the ones writing the review anyway.
God, gaming really has hit rock bottom, not that it hadn't already. Wtf are ghey celebrities doing at a game opening, other than being paid to stand there and pretend they actually know what their talking about. Who cares if Shayne Ward plays cod, who cares if any of them might play it, when they don't care as long as their being thrown enough money. Black carpet aka red carpet, think I might vomit. Maybe they haven't gave a review because their trying to decide whether to give it a 9.0 or 9.5, maybe even a 10, wouldn't surprise me. Activision won't be getting any of my money for this.
Lol this video is so bad it's good! Was Bextor high? (um, I mean she's a tall person..? xD). Why didn't she just say she doesn't know about the game (and be honest), rather than lying (badly) saying she played "Black Watch"? At least Jane Douglas and Mark Walton looked relatively normal and nice. The irony is they were the *real* celebrities! I've never heard of the others (I don't watch X Factor). And where was Iain Lee? He would've been a cool interviewee (and a real celebrity). At least he knows about CoD! So, a cringe-worthy video for a cringe-worthy game. That 'talking point' 'product placement' slyly plugging & promoting "Kinect" was a little *too* cringe-worthy though. Notice how nobody said "none of the above" or "I don't like either of them" (my answer). The 'Dr Strangelove table' was awesome though. Wait... aha... so it was YOU who caused that ICBM to be launched from off the coast of LA last night!? Jane Douglas, YOU caused a missile launch while you were "inside the War Room" (w/ the mad scientists) xD The funniest part for me was at 4:55 when Mark answered "..game any good..? um.." (while looking at a freezing @JaneDouglas). I agree with you Mark, I would've been the same. I bet it's hard thinking about anything else with that cool goddess around! xD
WTF, ive been playing COD since the 1st game, Ive been a gamer for years and have been ridiculed for it. The other day in my local GAME store I heard some urbanesque street talking t***t trying to get the staff to let him 1st in the cue at the midnight release coz he rules mw2 and deserves it first... cheeky swine. All of a sudden everyone is on CODs nuts, seeing all these stuck up celebrity ants crawling all over it and all the glitz and glamour makes me slightly sick.
I think Jane has lost her mind. It would have been freezing that night in London and I'm from Blackpool where it really is miserable and cold. Seems like there were many people there who didn't know much about the game or any game for that matter.
what a surprise, gamespot hasn't even got a review up TWO DAYS after the launch. That's what we care about guys! not clueless bextor claiming to have played "Black Watch" and other assorted losers. GET THE REVIEW UP!
Why the hell do these 'celebs' even bother turning up? Only The Hoosiers knew what they were talking about.
Cringe-worthy article, Gamespot. You should be ashamed of that. This is a place I come to for timely reviews / opinions - to sift through the hype and answer the question: "Is the game any good? Is it worthy of my hard earned cash?".....not "celebrities" plugging something they don't have a clue about. Where the hell is the review? Never posted any comment here before but I felt compelled to after watching this tosh.
The hoosiers you can tell are proper gamers, when Guy asked Shayne Ward he had no idea. Also Jane isn't properly dressed for that weather.
Does seem strange that gamespot are this late with a review. Written or video! Did you guys piss off activision? did they not let you have review copies?
