Brutal Legend is a game about high adventure in the world of metal. We speak to creative director Tim Schafer of Double Fine to find out a little more of the inside story.
Did you enjoy this video?
What's more metal than slaying demons?
Wow! What a cool-looking and creative game concept. I love it when people really go for it in designing a game. Also really great to have a game with something other than pop/ hip hop in the sound track :-)
What is the song playing around 0:57 - 1:57 ???
Please tell me!
a good interview, and a good look at the games storyline, i was kinda worried this wasn't going to be good, even with jack black doing the hero's voice thanks for the interview...
oooooooooh booooy! i'm just waaaaaaay too exited about this game xD...i hope they can live up to my expectations as well as of those that love heavy metal...the soundtrack has to be killer!! I,personally would just L-O-V-E to have some tenacious D tracks, that'd be awesome!
YEAH FULL THROTTLE! Love that game. Polecats ftw. Anyway, this game looks pretty damn hilarious. I havent seen too much of the gameplay but from what i saw earlier, it is shaping up to be a good game.
props to Full Thottle! Right on, Tim!!!
I'm not a heavy metal fan, but this looks really fun and awesome. Definitely going to buy it.
Wow! This is a must have for me. Brutal Legend, Hell Yeah!
jack black's first game and already looking good
this game looks stupid... in a good way...
I will play it because I love BLACK! :)
YOU ROCK MAN!!!
But...It would be a better game if it was something like Full Throttle!!!
Why did they stop making such great games!? :(
The more i learn about this game the more i want it. wouldn't it be cool though if the final boss battled you with his guitar and you had to have a guitar deul to beat him.
i hope this game works out...sounds great!
what they say rly reminds me of the Jak and Dexter games. open world, cars, resistance !
At around 2 minutes, the guitar only has 15 frets. How can you shred apart demons with only 15 frets? Without solos I guess...
great idea.. but it will fail....
HEAVY METAL!!! Im going to buy this game...or at least rent it...Jack Black...Judas Priest...yes please
Cause the Wii sucks

Why the hell is this game not coming out on the Wii? It would be perfect, with that control scheme. Could swing it round for the axe function (ala: Madworld) and use it to strum the strings on your guitar as well (Wii Music). I think that would have been a total winner. Imagine Madworld mixed with Guitar Hero. Would have been sweet. Plus the graphics dont really look x-box360 or PS3 standard.
have my doubts
I so want this game.
serious sam ??
one of enemies are hair metal guys! power! i'll get this just to beat the crap out of those guys! lol :D
This game is either going to be wicked sweet or a complete screw up.....
but im really hoping its wicked sweet.
lol punk? lol thats funny what metal bands have u been listening to that sound weaker then punk
Heavy metal...Did people forget about 85 hardcore punk rock taht influenced most major heavy metal bands.Just as hard but with more style.
jack black plays a character in there interesting, I saw an article in gameinformers about this game. hey I'm sure it will be a good game, metal also rocks my world.:D
MAJOR BOOBAGE !!!
Knowing Schafer's track record this will probably end up being an awesome game that far too few people end up buying. Looking forward to it. Would have wanted a PC release though.
there is no jack black  I thought he was doin the voice of the main character
What the Rock??
I didn't think Lars looked like Dave Mustaine...he looks like Sebastian Bach from Skid Row.
This game is going to be AWESOME
absolutely cannot wait for this.
the character looks like Jack Black on steroids
wow....that looks *awesome*
I don't like metal, but I"m still very interested in this game
omg -Mist- doesn't know Tim Schafer :O:O:O
coincidently I'm actually listening to one of his games' soundtracks right now...
Re: 0pen world setting: did he say "sixty-four square kilometres" or was it "six to four"?
Who's Tim Schafer so that he's legendary?Has he done any famous games :P? -Asking because i dont know.-
