So you want to play as Amara in Borderlands 3, but don't know which of her skills to invest in? Well, you've come to the right place. In the video above, Jean-Luc Seipke and Jordan Ramée dive into the Siren's skill tree to discuss which of her abilities are best to unlock.
Unlike the support-focused Lilith and Maya, Amara is a close- to mid-range elemental damage dealer who's at her best when she's leading the charge. In that regard, you want to invest in her skill trees and abilities that promote her melee damage and health while also putting points towards perks that aid in her elemental-focused action skills.
Fist of the Elements may by the skill tree you want to start with, especially if you're new to first-person shooters. The tree's Phasegrap action skill allows Amara to slow down Pandora's bandits and line-up her shot--which can also be aided by the Fist of Elements Steady Grasp ability. Nabbing Tempest and Illuminated Fist will also help in dealing elemental damage at close range. From there, transitioning over to Amara's Brawl tree allows you to focus on the Siren's best skills, like Root to Rise, Personal Space, Clarity, Helping Hand(s), Do Unto Others, and Guardian Angel.
