Mods and hackers ruin games for everyone... Sure, when your sick of a game it's a ton of fun to mod and cheat your way past all the other players. But it really ruins everyone's(including your) overall video experience for that game. Especially if you use it earley. Please try not to mod this game to much... they made it online for a reason... And it wasn't so poeple could hack it and finish the whole game in eight minutes.
ok, dont bitc* until you have a reason to ie the game has actually been released, because you dont even know what they are going to do yet. Until then, it is speculation. Things change last minute all the time. All we have ATM is an overview of what is possible... Dream big! But remember, it's still, as of yet, just a dream.
I'm sure the "modders" can't wait to hack this one too! I really enjoyed the infinite number of modded weapons before they patched it on the first one.
Um.......what are you guys at Gamespot smoking? Whats this about not more than one person being able to play the same character? Sorry to say you are 100% wrong guys. I played many games of the original borderlands online where there would be 2 or three of the same character, usually the siren. Me an one of my best friends always play this game and we are usually both the siren.
I have both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of this game (that many friends to play it with lol) and I have actually never played the game online where every character was one of the 4. It was usually 3 sirens and 1 soldier, or 2 soldier, 2 hunters etc. Just saying guys, you are wrong 100%......Makes me wonder if the non British guy (sorry don't know his name) talking even played the game as he was the one who said it.
Also....phase lock looks gay.....this is what happens when too many people whine about Phasewalk and the Siren being too over powered....lame.
Atleast on PC version of Borderlands. You could have more than 1 of the same class on at the same time.
Used to roll double Mordecais at the same time with a friend, but don't know if there was a class restriction on the consoles thou :/
hope you can turn off those damage numbers. or at least only show crits. some of the enemies are blocked by the spam lol
looks good, maybe this time around they'll add some damn antialiasing so it doesn't look like a world of stairs
Loved the first Borderlands, great fun! Really enjoyed all the different weapons and combat. Borderlands 2 looks a little more crisp and with the draw distance, appears to be revealing a much larger world to explore. Cleaver new looking creatures as well.
I got the first borderlands game with all the dlc content for a sleezy $15 bucks on the PSN store awhile back, so happy I did!
The graphics are still horrible, just like the first game.
Good gameplay though and I hope it still has coop LAN play!
Getting bored just watching it. It will likely be as boring as Bored-erlands 1. Thanks for the preview.
Yeah, this game is going to be insanely fun. If I had to describe the first Borderlands I would simply say "pure fun". I would have actually tried for the Platinum which I never do. I just simply don't like to play co-op, unless it's Demon's/Dark souls.
The problem with the art style is that they have a solid black outline on everything. It would look alot better if they blended it a little bit more.
@I_am_Epicus Truly depends on the game, personally. Take Skyrim for example. Completely Single-Player. What does that mean? What it means, is that there is NO danger of hackers, and the modding aspect *only* adds on to the experience. By now, I bet there's mods that almost have as much content as the game itself. However, games like Battlefield, or COD, hackers and modders, are the bane of all gamers. My point being; as long as you aren't forced to deal with the mods and hacks, they only add to the experience.
Phaselock not only looks better than Phasewalk, it also looks to have a much more useful purpose. It works as an excellent form of crowd control, and can also be tweaked to either grant bonuses for teammates or debuff enemies. This coupled with the Harmony tree, can make for a great support character. What did Phasewalk provide in terms of being useful to the team?....ooo, look at me, I'm really fast and invisible and....nevermind, it wore off already....
@simosihvonen Yeah I played on PS3 and had two soldiers on my team. they don't know what they're talking about
@wavelength121 What version were you playing? Because on PC I had no problem of the sort.
@nyte_byte Those aren't horrible graphics. Those are BORDERLANDS graphics. They make everything outlined in black for a reason, it makes it like a cartoon, but with realistic lighting and special effects. Which overall I think makes it way more fun than an extreamly realistic looking game w/ lags and bugs. If you think you've seen horrible graphics before and you haven't ever played Runescape, then your mistaken.
@nyte_byte Actually, it's not the graphics you seem to have a problem with, it's the aesthetics - the look/feel of the game. A games graphics refers to the technical side - AA, normal mapping, bloom/hdr, etc. Aesthetics refer to the atmosphere of the game, meaning everything from the art direction to the sound.
@nyte_byte Wow I completely disagree about the graphics.
@nyte_byte Are you talking about graphical fidelity or art style? If you don't like the art style I can understand, but BL1 had incredible graphical fidelity, and the 2nd one is even better. If you are talking about graphical fidelity then you need your eyes checked mister.
@nyte_byte lol graphics r horrible??lmfao
@nyte_byte It's not horrible is called cell-sheading(2d texture on 3d object(s)) and its awesome(it was as well). It requires a bit less effort as they don't have to work too much on realistic looking textures and models. Call it devs. laziness or style your wish.-)
Graphics look great to me, just like the first game. If the graphics looked horrible to you in the first game, it may be that you need to update your system.
@nyte_byte it's the art style ... the graphics arn't bad?. IF you totally miss that point, this game isn't for you. GO play the vanilla B3 and COD3
@nyte_byte they are still working on it yet .
@Kryptonbornson Since this type of game isn't very story heavy ,even though they are putting more effort into it this time, it's not for everyone. I personally love games with tons of looting and an open world experience. I'm not sure if you played borderlands in single player, but Borderlands 1 in single player was not as fun as in co-op I must say. Borderlands 1 though was my favorite RPG of all time.
@Kryptonbornson how are you able to give Rage & Bulletstorm 9.0+ scores but call this boring?
@Kryptonbornson Go and play BF or COD then noob!
@Bad_Gamers83 If you have the hardware PC is the only choice. Supports steamworks this time around so probably less connection troubles than the previous, and graphically there is going to be no contest.
@Bad_Gamers83 PS3 FTW!
@H0RSE When specialized properly Phasewalk had great crowd control properties, especially when it would cool down while in use. Rapid-fire phasewalk (Blackout) + Phoenix + Dramatic Entrance.
Phaselock looks pretty great, but Phasewalk was far from useless.
@sangzeel @nyte_byte It can't be called devs. laziness, as the year before Borderlands 1 release, on E3 , a trailer of Borderlands was shown containing the most realistic looking graphics of that time ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3iEuTuKvdU ). So the devs had a game with realistic graphics, still they rewrote everything to have it the way we saw it.
@Darnasian he is not noob he just dont like the game so its ok ,people have their likes and dislikes xD,for me i like cod more than BF like this ,,,,,
