Looking foward to this, of-line play, local co-op, no RMAH.
To bad we have to wait for the ps3 version after the launch of the PS4, so this will be out end of the year. Would be a strange thing and a maketing flaw to bring this to ps3 first and later to ps4.
I am actually looking forward to seeing the innovations in control scheme to be made, and will buy this game.
"Good evening - i don't give a damn about other people on other countries interested in our game" great..
I'd be interested to see how they design the user interface for a gamepad. Specifically, the movement of the arrow if it were to be used. I have it for PC and think if people want to play it then give it to them but I'd like to see how the controls play out. Either way people will have fun with it. In fact the console players will probably have more fun with it due to the fact that there aren't many titles like D3 on console, console player tend to complain less and all other PC users do is blame consoles when a game sucks. The only games that seem to get praise from other PC gamers now are ones that max out your brand new GeForce Titan or your 680 sli setup if your a Intel user. Pathetic.
I remember one of the reviews for Doom 3 where the reviewer said "Games are meant to be played, not just looked at". Apparantly not anymore, not for PC gamers at least.
Diablo isnt as bad as people say.. its actually a very good game.
People just love to sook about it and yet they still play it and hit up the battle.net forums sooking about it.
if they didnt like it as much as they make out they wouldnt play it or talk about it any more.
I think its funny when people say it is bad coz obviously they dont no how to play it
look, this goes for everyone
if you still want to buy this, its totally your choice but know this, the game failed for like 80% of the players, dont trust me? go take a look at their forums, even their creators KNOW the game is FLAWED.
there is hope, because bliz CAN make a patch or expansion in the future, the reason they can put this game on a console its because the controls are too easy, no way a true PC game will fit a 8 button game control
As long as this isn't the first step in them becomming a PC and console developer for future titles, I don't care.
But he's essentially saying they've sealed the deal and that's probably going to be the case.
Titan, I'm sorry buddy. :(
PS. Stop voice acting, Chris. You suck at it.
I don't see how this game can work for a console. A point and click, inventory managing game that has monsters dropping metric tons of loot sounds like a horrible game to port. Right off the bat they have to get rid of the point and click aspect of the game. Also make the players inventory infinitely times bigger and somehow easy and non tedious to navigate with a controller. It seems to me that they will have to change a lot of theway the game played on PC for it to work on consoles.
they are wrong about diablo never being on a PlayStation console because diablo 1 was on the original playstation
I think this is a good thing. This game isn't as bad as the ever miserable gaming community would like you to think. I logged about 300 hours and made like 500 bucks on the AH before I stopped playing. I'd say I got my money's worth.
Expanding the player base and paving the way for some more change, and Blizzard make a little extra cheese, why not. Of course nowadays, anything game companies do to make money is perceived as greedy and underhanded. I'm sure we'll never hear the end of this.
I have 2 questions for this;
1. If I buy it for the PS3, Do I have to redownload it for PS4 and have to pay again?
2. Sony is saying thay you can start downloading titles and playing them right away, I have 100gig/month on my internet plan if I download a Blue Ray game (like 25 gigs) Can I only download a few things a month!?
I just finished my D2 play through last year and see the big differences with that and D3, take off DRM and always online and gimme LAN and i'll love ya again Blizzard.
What i don't get is why companies feel the need to 'dumb down' gaming mechanics and the like for a console. I played the newest XCOM on keyboard + mouse and controller and it felt good on both. I guess what i'm wondering is why don't companies make really awesome, robust and complex games for consoles and not just PC, its not like its impossible to do there have been great ports for PC to Console (can't really think of any from console to PC) but i feel like its a cop out. Ive got all the consoles and a awesome PC rig but i don't get the whole 'simplified' experience for console gamers and then PC gamers usually getting a lazy port. I love gaming in general so I don't get it and don't get the whole loyalty to only 1 platform. Console gamers you should be demanding more from your games, especially if it has RP elements in it, don't let your fanboyism have you chanting up your favorite console while having a company screw you for what is in general a simplified experiences.
Rant over, i love gaming, i love diablo and all platforms, i prefer pc, don't get why companies can't do more stuff like what they did with the latest XCOM
only reason I would MAYBE consider playing this is if they add PvP and remove every fucking trace of that blatant cash-grab that is the RMAH and reintroduce Trading. Something that made sense, required balls and added a major part to the gameplay of the game/community.
Blackthorne! Loved that game so much.
Metzen gets a whole lot of hate but he's really brilliant (has his faults of course), he did create most of the world we berate him for ruining. He's really the game industry's George Lucas.
Diablo 3 has gathered a lot of hate. While most of it is justified hate (and the rest is probably anti PC/blizzard hate), I feel Diablo 3 could work on PS3/4... granted 99.999% of this feeling is due to the 4 player co-op mode (that should have been on the "Blizzard's official Diablo 3 for PC" idea sheet on day 1..). Aside from that I felt that the dark evil music played when Chris Metzen came on and left set the scene perfectly!
HAHAHAHAH blizzard think people will buy this game? i bought diablo3 the day it came out for pc. and regret a lot. I mean they promised so much and like half a year later not even a small part of those promises are even in the game.
D3 obviously isn't the best ARPG out there.. but consoles are seriously lacking ARPGs altogether. The only one that was half decent was Sacred 2 in my opinion, even though it performed badly. I'm sure D3 will arrive on consoles nicely polished and because of the lack of ARPG's in that scene it will probably be the best option available.
Many console gamers probably havn't even tried ARPGs before so it could be a revelation for them. Plus, many of them won't have played D1+2 so they might not be as sour about D3 not living up to expectations... because they don't have any.
this was the comedy gold moment of the show. when the blizzard logo appeared we all thought, Perhaps this is the launch of TITAN, a new massive MMO that wiill let ps4 and PC playerss play together, or at least a version of WoW for the PS4, then they annoucned D3? LOL!! everyones like WTF. DUDE!
@devastion913 as a pc gamer, i dont fit on what you said. my pc has just a GT 240 for now
and i agree not much games like diablo are available for consoles, diablo 3 looks are more than fair and bliz focused on that, costumer support has declined for almost every game they have and again, d3 gameplay suffers and they know it
I have it. I have all blizzard titles. And yes, Diablo 3 is THAT BAD.
@sigmact The game on PC only needs 4 or 5 buttons you can only have 4 ability's equipped at a time all diablo games are like that, at least diablo 2 was fun. the AH and balancing on inferno was what made the game shit not how many buttons you had.
@chrisbingle if you want to know why D3 sucks read that comment
"I logged about 300 hours and made like 500 bucks on the AH before I stopped playing"
noticed he didnt say anything about having fun just that he made money. D3 is a job not a game. the auction house destroyed this game. if you want make money playing a game its D3, if you want to have fun while playing a game its not D3
Save your money for a good game. Do trust us PC Gamers if just for this. Please!
@Royial20 I'm not sure I entirely understand your rant. When you say complexity are you simply referring to the amount of keybinds available? XCOM was actually criticized by many PC gamers as being dumbed down compared to the original due to being designed expressly with the intent of console controller compatibility. They could get around these sort of limitations by requiring the purchase of a keyboard and mouse for your consoles for these sort of games.
@aovannor Diablo 1 was released on PSX :)
@fredyellowone @GH05T-666 I played it and i can say its the worst game blizzard has made yet. yes its Worse then WOW at its current state. They left PVP out of it so they didn't lose and subs on wow its just pathetic I sure hope PvP makes it to the console version of the game it might make the game worth something.
Blizzard has made some good games over the years but I'm not so sure about them after they Sold out to Craptavision
@hector530 lol yeah thats one fucked up job if u get 500 bucks in 300 hours. mcdonalds pay lookin real good now.
@hector530 Yeah, thanks for putting words in my mouth you tit.
Contrary to what I apparently said, I DID have fun. The game is QUITE FUN. It's something you can easily jump into, play a bit of an act, and then jump out of. Destroying hordes of demons is fun, getting more powerful is fun, destroying hordes of demons more easily because you're more powerful is fun. I didn't play it for 300 hours so I could make 500 dollars, that's fucking stupidity. I played it because it was pretty fun, and being able to sell the odd great drop for real money was a nice extra, fun, bonus. In fact, I find there is an inherent fun factor in playing the AH market, gold or real money.
So yeah, I did have FUN.
@Bexorcist @CP2077 WoW is crap in its current state. MoP made it even worse than it was when Cata came out. Then have nerfed the whole game down because of to many whining kids. They pretty much give you lvl 90 now and give you tons of gold. There is no real challenge to the game anymore, I've had a more challenging time getting off the toilet.
@CP2077 Wow in it's current state is much better than you make it seem. MoP is the best expansion so far imo (after BC ofcourse)
@chrisbingle @hector530 I think an AH can have an inherent fun aspect when it's part of a world, and not just an extension of one. The point of Diablo is (was) to kill tons of enemies and find cool gear. That wasn't the case with Diablo 3. I got a few characters to 60, and I bought the vast majority of my items on the AH. I'm not saying that the game is the worst thing ever, and I even had some fun with it, but the AH is a perfectly reasonable complaint, because it changed the game dramatically... and not in a good way for many, including myself. It's not just the miserable gaming community (though they certainly exist) that doesn't care for what they did to the Diablo series for the sake of making a little extra cheese.
