I loved Bioshock Infinite. Loved Columbia. It was bright and colorful and felt open. Hated Rapture. It was dark and dreary and almost claustrophobic. Give me more Columbia stories instead! Kthxbye ;)
I played Infinite. It was okay, gameplay-wise. But the whole "infinite" universes thing just turned me away. I felt like they tried really hard to make a complex game but fell short.
Now we're back in Rapture. Really, what happened to Columbia? I feel like they dropped the ball on getting you engrossed in this new city (that freaking flies). If they were going to dump us back in Rapture, they should have just made BioShock 3 and placed the whole game there.
I have Bioshock 1 and 2 , I can go back to rapture ANYTIME using those games. They musnt have much confidence in infinites world, if they don't feel they can persue it further. Next Bioshock should be in Space
Don't do the episode thing, think of what happened with half Life 2. If you do a continuing story and dont finish it, we will kill you. just saying.
Infinite was disappointing in ways, especially gameplay-wise, but I will still play the DLC because overall I still thought the game was enjoyable. Even with its flaws, I still thought it was better than most of the other games that came out this year, I personally didn't even enjoy GTA V to be honest.
Infinite was an over hyped disappointment. Streamlined gameplay, crap tonics, 2 gun carry limit, no challenging enemies and way more linear than Bioshock 1.
It's as if Levine aimed Infinite at the ADD gamer crowd instead of Bioshock's true fanbase. It will be interesting to see how much of a 'love letter to the fans' this DLC really is.
I respect people's *thought out* opinions, but it's rather funny to watch people jump on hate-wagons every time a highly praised game has been talked about for a long while. Same kind of complex that happens when a hit song gets radio slots.
Even if theyre going back to Rapture, this DLC will be another watered down (pun intended) dull,linear experience compared to what Bioshock 1 was. Bioshit infinite was such a let down and nothing more than a story-focused casual game.
Honestly, I thought Infinite was really average. One of the most over hyped games in years. I think Bioshock and Levine's vision has run its course. It was relevant back in the System Shock days but nowadays it's a really tedious FPS approach.
@zpluffy I'd say around 4-5 hours, if lucky. That's why the season pass was a better deal IMO
@hotkoolaid Most DLC are about 1 hour long. Why is this DLC is 1 hour long? I have no idea.
@megagene She not like hot hot like Lara Croft but she is ok. Like her more in Infinte then her now.
@Masculus Luke Skywalker approves this message
@Brakkyn It's a little disturbing that so many people liked your comment. Seriously, everything has been explained, in detail, a MILLION times already. Including what happened to Columbia.
@nyran125tk HAHAHAHAHA....its funny cause its true. >:|
@ryancyc games probably arnt for you then sir
@Evanrocknuma But if u consdier that 99% of the hits on radio are pure crap...
@mjorh When you do play GTA 5 that when you will change your mind. GTA5 is the game of the decade, the game of this year. (2013)
@G4m3r0uTL4wZ I completely disagree, but that is the joy of being human. We have differing opinions.
@forbiddenmow Well, I don't think that Levin's vision is at fault here. I didn't like infinite as much as I wanted to (or as much as bioshock 1), but we must remember that it takes more than one person to create a game. The parts that Levin was involved in, namely The story and setting were solid; it was the gameplay that let it down, in my opinion.
Personally I found the story really awful. And terribly told within the game. Tried to be too clever. The setting was a turn off for me. I don't much care for steam punk. Respect for the attempts by the art dept. though. Thematically and structurally it just felt like a rehash of Bioshock 1. I'm bored of vigors. I'm bored of searching for stuff in every piece of furniture in action heavy shooters like this. I'm bored of vending machines. I guess if it was more adventure and less action it could have held together better. Maybe. Just my humble opinion.
No your wrong about that. I do understand the game story structure well enough to know what the game is good at and what it bad at. Am I’m sufficiently proficient in the English Language to even understand the story? Well tell that to all the people who were unclear of Bioshock Infinite complex ending due to it "knowledge issue" and "subjects" that you speak of. (Coming out with that contradiction) Im not going to say that Im right, your wrong of your own opinon or state its a good game too but Bioshock Infinite had some of it downside of it own that some of your don't even mention. Because of the amount of replies now I’m not going list them nor continue with this debate. You say that people who actually liked my comments are disappointed. But I’m pretty sure that the people who liked my comments agree with me and know what I’m talking about. Even half of the people in this comment section believe Bioshock Infinite had it's problems. So what do that say about your interpretation? So before expressing yourself on how the game is great and start mention other people reason look around because your just end up dead wrong.

@flameon12346 The kinetoscopes definitely had something to do with the story. I'm pretty sure you had no idea what was happening if you said that. The large number of people who actually liked your comment is well, disappointing.
@flameon12346 @Auriken @Brakkyn
Just because you're unfamiliar with the narrative structure, it doesn't mean the story was "randomly" put together. It rewards exploration and to a certain extent, knowledge of certain issues or subjects.
There are many details that the less observant may neglect which definitely contributes to the wholeness of the plot or at least highlights the game's themes.
What the heck is unconstance?
What are you even talking about?
Are you sufficiently proficient in the English language to even understand the story?
@gamefeen57 Yeah I do know it is a good game. Im just listing it's flaws. I'm still looking forward for the game though.
@flameon12346 Yeah I do kind of agree with you but it still was a nice game.
No read again. As I said the main story itself was unconstance meaning the main story wasn't noticable and unappealing. Im not saying that just because it a puzzle it was bad but the story itself was lacking interest.
The game was mosty about the gameplay and the kinetoscope aren't part of the main story but just side events that happend in Columbia. So before trying to making claims to act smart start making knowledgeble sense cause you're just end up clueless.
@Auriken @flameon12346 @Brakkyn The story itself was unconstance and dull. Everything was randamly put together like a puzzle. Not to mention the middle of the game had no explamation and was just a FPS game. That why the story telling wasn't that good at all in this game. The beginning and ending was the only things that are explained everything else is FPS. In the end it didn't do much of a good job on contributing the plot.
@flameon12346 @Auriken @Brakkyn It required you to actually go and look for the story. MANY story elements were hidden away in secret locations through audio logs. If you didn't explore you missed out on half the story.
The story itself is told throughout the entire game, all the ending does it make it click together. However, people who played it like COD also missed so much of it. The story required you to actively participate beyond just shooting people.
@Evanrocknuma good music
@forbiddenmow wow... i think im in love back in the day everyone that played this game hated me for saying that the story was too pretentious and tried soooo hard to impress the players but honestly it was a cheap idea used dozens of times before... system shock was this franchise not this...
@forbiddenmow Problem is in Infinite vending machines are completely worthless unlike in Bioshock 1 where you had to spend your stuff wisely and vending machines actually had their roles in the game by providing different plasmids AND BUYING HEALTH KITS and Eve seringe was needed since every Big daddy encounters were challenging and needed planification before engaging unlike BIOSHIT INFINITE where you breeze through everything,always walk straightforward, plasmids are found on the ground ,vending machines always offer and sell the same garbage even ammunitions are pointless since thery removed all different special ammo types . Bioshock 1 gameplay was soooooooooooooooo much deeper and interesting than this sell-out casual interactive movie piece of shit of a game.
