EA screwd BioWare, Bioware screwd SWTOR up.Next thing is free-to-play. read this: http://www.gamespot.com/news/microtransactions-will-be-in-every-game-says-ea-exec-6383445
I don't like that he called the legacy update something that was great, as they made it seem it would be there at launch. Although, maybe they have learned a lesson about annoucing features of a game before it launches.. NAAAH.. I do hope this game gets a sub base back as they seem to be attempting to improve and expand it at a rapid pace.. I will give it another 6 months or so to see.
"We just now put in all the stuff we should have put in at launch, and now we're telling you it's some giant leap forward to distract you from the fact that we dont know what we're doing. Now, we're offering new stuff nobody cares about and an opportunity to play the game for free, because we know we have no player retention since there's nothing to do at max level, so our only hope is to trick new people into buying the game."
Is it just me or does this guy seem nervous that the crowd is going to start booing and throwing stuff at him?
You've only just begun to bleed hundreds of thousands of customers for launching a buggy incomplete game that apparently cost as much as a hollywood blockbuster, well done.
you see that big robot on towards the end on the new plant.. looks just like a geth from ME..
Can the staff at Bioware go and re watch the original 3 movies and get some ideas from there,.
I dont care about thing to come or anything he said, They need to merge other then 2 servers. all the other server are complete ghost towns No one wants to pay 15$ for MMO and go to a planet and see less then 10 people on that planet and not be able to find people to get groups going.
They can add all the content they want but people are quiting leaving servers or the populated servers making those other servers even more a ghost town
Translation: I know nothing of game developement and expect ALL the features from an MMO 7 years old to be in this.
I am surprised they didnt to be honest. I was very pumped for this game but it let me down in the end. I would guess it will get better, if EA doesn't kill it, but will it draw people back to it. Also, I believe that they announced the game to early and peoples expectations (including mine) were just to high.
@damodar_thade To be fair this game was very stable. Especially when compared to other mmo's. For example WoW was mess in the beginning, that said bugs during the first days of an mmo is expected by anyone with some experience with this genre.
I won't be leaving anytime soon, since there's still no other mmo that does story like SWtOR. Grind alone won't keep my interest for a long period of time, which is why I couldn't stick with WoW for more than 6 months.
My only wish was for them to merge some servers to increase pop. But I guess free character transfers is also a possible solution. I'm curious as to how they will story-wise explain everyone getting the exact same droid companion though.
