I am no longer taking my PC copy for granted. I did not realize how much better this game looks running on my rig until watching some of this video. Time to boot up the ol' BF3...

@PeterDuck I still have to see the PC superior graphics in great games like Demon's & Dark Souls, FF XIII 1 & 2, Red Dead Redemption, etc. etc, etc… To play games on PC is like to buy a Ferrari for going shopping. Then once per year you get to drive full speed in the German highways. Instead we use our Toyota consoles every day. Also making love in it! So, what's better? :p

@Illidan311 you're replying to the wrong person.... @game_eater Funny you say that, because the price of a gaming rig ususally implies a man does have a job, and a damn good one if he can pay for a hardcore gaming rig. It's not a matter of how many hours you play a day. I barely even play shooters anymore. But those everyday actions I use my computer for also require precision, and all of my work is being done with a mouse and keyboard. Simply put, I don't need to do a transition from K&M to controller. I use one method for everything, which is why I feel the most comfortable with a mouse. And this is in no way biased, I know the Dualshock as good as my own hands, I've held them since I was a kid. PS1/2/3 are roughly the same on that account. But there is no argument to the fact K&M is just more precise. Don't know why you would like the console version better. I just find the idea of going on consoles because they suck more there to be kind of... lame?

@supertom221 yes, everyone that owns a gaming pc has no job and plays games 16 hours a day. OR........................ maybe a keyboard and mouse is much faster and more precise!

@hauntedsound It would be nice but as a realistic game it would be somewhat hard to portray, not to mention slow paced. The story would be fantastic but is that all a game needs.. If hey were to get the reality into the game then maybe it would work but still very slow.

@supertom221 You are not reading my post correctly. I mentioned i used to have BF3 for PS3 and yes i liked that version better than the pc version because PC gamers are owners. (too good for me, sometimes i think they have no job and keep playing it all day long) But i'm still playing BF3 for PC so i'm not choosing consoles over a gaming pc. But i really liked the ps3 version better. (not on graphics wise ofcourse, but i'm not a graphics hooker like most pc gamers) Am i talking about all games in general, no, only BF3.

@Mariner32 So I am not an elitist anymore? make up your mind. btw, you cannot hear the tone of my voice on the internet, you can only read what I wrote and then subjectively interpret my tone. My tone was that of slight frustration, not of any hatred. Whether some PC gamers regard console gamers as second-class gamers or not is secondary to the fact that PC gaming produces better graphics (even though it's more expensive). One thing is a possible consequence of the other, but the prime fact is that PC gaming produces better graphics (i.e. ultra settings, AA, etc)

I have been gaming for the vast majority of my life and have always thought it was a little odd that there hasn't really been any games based in a WW1 setting? Sure there have been a few "bi-plane" air battle games but I'm talking a 1st or 3rd person action game. With the GIGANTIC amount of WW2 games you would think there would be at least one. I have not found one. Now I understand that a WW1 game may not have the same draw as WW2 and Modern war games due to the actual nature of the combat styles, but what WW1 combat may lack in speed it more that makes up for in brutality, horror, and fear. Now if some designer were to approach the subject more from a survival horror framework you could have a really interesting game. I mean trench warfare, mustard gas, lots of gas masks, loss of limbs, primitive surgery, barbed wire, etc... Plus WW1 has a much more interesting background surrounding the countries motivations for getting involved. Not as clear-cut as Hitler and Nazis are evil so lets go kill them" games. I won't hold my breath but with more developers doing games with themes that lie outside the typical (Heavy Rain, Bioshock, LA Noire, Cursed Mountain) maybe some designer may take a chance. Anyone?

@PeterDuck To be fair, no. You aren't elitist for stating the truth. It was the way and the implied tone of voice with which you decided to state that truth that I took issue with. Now perhaps that was merely me reading too much into your intent and placing a tone in your words that you never meant to imply. In all honesty, I was merely using your comment as a convenient vent for my frustrations with PC elitism as a whole and that wasn't fair to you at all. For that, I apologize. I simply dislike how some PC gamers treat console players like second-class gamers merely because they prefer the simplicity of a console over the technical prowess of a PC. It paints all PC gamers in a bad light and I try to stamp out that misconception wherever I can.

@Ultra_Taco Everyone on the 360 has the HD content installed bro. Its still awful and rushed or it cannot handle this engine its too much for xbox 360 and I dont think you need the HD disc installed for the multiplayer this CD is for co-op and single player campaign only

@THA-TODD-BEAST I'm sure they would've used a PC but since the patch was released a week earlier on PS3 (:P) they probably wanted to show it off as soon as possible.

@devastion913 And why is it that you have to have a lot of money to play PC? PC games generally are cheaper so in the long run, it's really not that much more. When L4D first came out, I bought a 4 pack and essentially paid 25 bucks for a brand new game after I split it with some friends. Console...$60 + tax. You'll still pay more for PC in the end, but not as much as you might think. I get so sick and tired of hearing that excuse. You don't have to be rich to play PC. Plus a lot of console gamers buy brand new games and trade them in for a fourth of the value. That's just crazy and stupid.

do some people just not understand that this is a comparison of pre-patch and after-patch? it's not a comparison of graphics. the PC version has no place here because the console versions are virtually identical...other than the patch, ofc.

omg, PC x Console again? Get a life people! I'm a console player but I'm reasonable enough to acknowledge the higher power from PCs, it's obvious, the consoles are 5 to 6 years old already! There will be pros and cons for everything in life, you guys just need the money and then pick whatever suits you better! I like my console because I don't have the money to upgrade all the time, and I'm kinda lazy to stay tuned to all innovations and updates, so the console is the way for me, but I don't have reasons to start a fight with PC guys trying to say that my preferences are better, that's ridiculous!

I am an Xbox 360 owner and this game graphically is devastating the framerate is exactly the same. Dice have done an awful job on the 360 version more pop up than a spectrum 48k and the lighting on it just damages my eyes its terrible. Even though the PC version is miles and terabytes better I think they could have released a better version

Lemme get this right in your little brain. When a PC player goes to a controller on a console, it's hard. Wanna know why? Because it's simple and retarded and not as accurate. When a console player gets on a PC? They don't even KNOW which key makes them run forward, let alone aim. Not to mention BF3 Console graphics are PC's MEDIUM settings. Ugly. And we get 64 players... I'll trade Gears of Junk for 64 player BF3.

@Am_Confucius I'm not a PC kind of guy so I would not have got into any games where you have to pay to get servers its completly unheard of to me. what other kind of games have you paying to host your own custom servers? I'v played games like team fortress 2 on pc and a couple of others but never even noticed the option to pay for a sever

I am most happy about the quit button...just because when you have to wait around till the next round and quit, it counts as a loss cause you're already in -_-

BTW how is the old republic, starcraft 2, guildwars 2, DOTA 2, league of legends and diablo3 on console's?? oh wait... I don't care, Im to busy downloading new mod for skyrim cause I have the PC version.

How about you go outside and play some soccer with the kids in the neighborhood? You will find that experience to be most enlightning. And just because i'm such a nice guy, I'll say this: You don't a PC gaming rig, and you probably never played a proper PC shooter, if you think shooting with the mouse is easy. You also probably only found out about gaming in the last decade, no, last gen, and yet you think you know better than people who are here since SNES/PS1 era. Moreover, thinking playing shooters on a console requires any real skill other than quick response time means you never played games that required skills, and as such, your opinion is invalid since you do not talk out of experience. The Download Speed is so fast I have never seen anything like that in here (3rd world Country) :(

Mouse and keyboard is simple. My Pc friend jumped on my console did not have the coordination to play. So yea that basically sums it up. I could care less if your graphics are better. Graphics don't equal goodness. By the way how is Gears of War 3 and Uncharted 3 on PC? Thought so.

@AceMagase No it doesn't o.O Sure, it takes more skill to play on console - if you get rid of both auto aim and aim assist. It takes A LOT more skill to play with a mouse and keyboard than to play with a controller. And yes, I own both console and PC. For a good comparison, play Halo 2 on PC. Or even read up why CSGO isn't going to be crossplatform with PS3-PC anymore.
