BF3: Close Quarters - Gun Master on Operation 925 Gameplay
There can be only one, and it's definitely not us.
I downloaded it as a Premium Player and I didn't get one weapon but I got the maps can you please help?
I like it. Breaks up the open combat maps with some tight maps that feel truly satisfying to anyone that has worked in an office block or hotel. It is chaotic but then that's half the fun and if you play in a four man squad covering one another it can be pretty gratifying. Lag can be a bit quirky especially with a small map and 32 people, leading to direct shots to the head and chest taking no damage off the opposition or falling down dead when you've run round a corner because the guy shot you 2 seconds ago. But otherwise an enjoyable little add on. It forces you to think even faster on your feet and yet still manages to not wind up boring or overpowered like Modern Warfare manages.
I´m starting to like CQ, it´s kinda growing on me. The new weapons are a welcomed addition which will hopefully ween people of the usual M16A3 / M4 / AEK combinations.
Conquest Domination is a great way to level up weapons quickly due to the confined spaces, although it does get boring fast. You take one flag, the enemy the other, you run there to retake, they do to and repeat.
"Gun Master" (a Counterstrike / Black Ops rip-off) should be a great run-gun experience, but it is actually disappointing as, at least on console, the map seem too big and you find yourself in a match with a lot of run and very little gun. When you do find someone, they usually have a PDW or shottie and you´re with a pistol!
Still, its something different and a blatant attempt by DICE to get more people playing Battlefield 3, which can only be a good thing.
Close quarters is terrible this game simply isn't realistic enough for this, player move to fast making it lagg alot also making it stupidly hard to hit something.
DICE you have failed once again on your game which I still say its a BETA because its still not fixed or even good after 9million freaking updates.
Actually looking forward to more CQC maps for BF3, the more varied the maps on offer the funner the game will get. Besides, it gets old fast when you meet a tank and all you have is a sub... I'M NOT MOTOKO!!!
After watching this I sure am glad I have this game on PC.
As a gamer that is sick to death of the COD formula I was skeptical about this expansion. But after playing it over the weekend I am glad I got it. The maps were varied and well designed. The enclosed settings really make the game engine shine. Going from the beginning of a battle when everything is in pristine shape to the end when walls are blasted open, tiles blown off the walls, furniture and light fixtures smashed, and windows blown out, really gives you the feeling you were involved in an epic fight, With the exception of Ziba Tower the maps were larger than I expected. Although the 64 player games are just a cluster puck.
The new mode Gunmaster (yes I know CS did it first) is a lot of fun and forces you to level up weapons you might not normally use. Although it would be nice to be able to play in reverse or to set up custom servers with different weapon sets in the future for even more variety.
Double thumbs up Dice you won me over on this one and If the other expansions are done as well as this one the money I spent on premium will have been very well spent.
irst off djpetitte and dalua360.... LOL thank you both for bringing the lols with your online nerd war.
Being a long time player of the BF series (fk i loved BF42 and BF:Vietnam) I can honestly say I have loved the online experience BF3 has provided. I have always thought the gun/infantry mechanics have been a little week in BF games, but they have tuned it great for BF3, so much so that CQC is actually fun! It's great to see they have released some dedicated maps for that type of play.
BF3 is not perfect, but I am loving it for everything it has done right.
oh and im assuming theres new weapons? How many? and is it free or are they charging money for this?
If its gona cost me money then my BF3 is gona stay in the library of games.
i had no idea that close quarters came out already.... ive been too busy playing Ghost Recon and Max Payne, but i may have to dust off the ol BF3. But i have to say i enjoy Ghost Recon over all the other shooters and i was a diehard Battlefield fan.
It's annoying that people say "it's stolen from CoD's Gun Game" when CoD stole it from Counter-Strike in the first place...
looks similar to "gun game" from COD but i like the map though, not as small as i first thought it was
Wow... dalua360 and djpetitte sicken me with how childish they are both acting towards each other, with petty insults, hate and piles of unnecessary, albeit hilarious banter between one another spreading to probably half the damn comments in this post.
I'm not picking sides in either game or person here, but I will say, having Close Quarter maps is NOT turning the series into CoD, because these kind of maps have been done BEFORE in Battlefield. Also, how is a map size (as small as it may be) with destructable environments making BF into CoD, when maps are only ONE of the dozens of problems that plague the current series. Besides CoD 2,3,4, and WaW had excellent map structure. Also, I like CoD, but hate the recent MW titles, and kind of like Black Ops. I also can't wait for Black Ops 2 because of all the changes made, so quite with the annoying CoD hate.
Both of you are acting like children, ironically calling each other kid which is fitting for your attitudes, and complaining over the most MINUTE THINGS!
If you don't mind, I'll have a map pack to download soon, and I hope I don't run across you guys tainting the relatively O.K mic chatter.
Loving these new CQC map's makes the whole battlefield package feel more rounded, and we still have more variety to come, one happy Soldier.
it is pathetic how clueless you are. It's one of the 4 expansion packs that is coming out over the next year, and the only close quarters one, which does it ten times better then Cod does with twice the detail and destruction. its not like other battlefield games have never had close quarters.. Ever play inside a titan, yeah didnt think so... go back to your little wussy cod, you newbie
@KANOOBS Check your Ping or your aim or both, CQC is a fine addition and a so far glitch free experience, love it.
@Atheosis gamespot with stupid comments? i don't get the appeal
@allan_delacruz battlefields version will be fun but nothing can compete with counterstrike. thats why im looking forward to the console edition
@pvtluca online nerd war? Try.. MORON WARFARE 1.0
Thanks, and your welcome. Its good to hear someone have something nice to say about a great game. some people on this thread we never taught that.
@sensesfail99 Unfortunately the days of free map packs died with this generation of consoles and DLM.
@hella_epic Yeah and cod took it from counter strike....what's your point?
Well, it appears that my childish actions inspired you to write almost 20 lines of text about my discussion.... that must mean something uh?
@kingF53 awesome video man! love the original music
@KANOOBS Have you tried ARMA II and soon to be ARMA III, you might like that series. The lag you might be experiencing might be due to an older video card. I used to have a geforce 275 GTX and i would get apparent lag, which wasn't due to the server. I proved this by buying a newer card and it was smooth as butter (relatively speaking).
Ping is fine aim is perfect, its the game I also got this new glitch were I suddenly cant move but I have infinite ammo and its not the lagg its a glitch because everyone else is playing fine I just suddenly get stuck cant do anything its happened 5 times so far, also my connection is fiber optic high speed never lagged in my life.
I think my game has just bugged out its totally messed up sometimes it will freeze up when there is to much action because the frame rate goes nuts.
@TonnFool23 His point is that he likes the map.
oh, I forgot to mention that I didn't start this ridiculous situation, suddenly someone started to insult me maybe because I was talking about his beloved game.... If you want to check better, go to my profile here on GS, and read this whole discussion in the right sequence. I'm not the one insulting people here.
it is the best music
@allan_delacruz No I wish I had PC version, Im on xbox 360 Ive heard on PC the game runs great though.
@sattisfaction Isn't it only on current gen consoles lol
@KANOOBS maybe you should try playing on a current-gen console then. stop complaining its just a game, games are meant to be fun regardless.
@djpetitte Your pathetic to totally, don't really need your input thanks though.
One thing is true, that all of this was unnecessary, I agree. The stupid thing is, if I had written" Awesome game" then I would've received lots of thumbs up.....
@dalua360 confirmed... you're part of the problem
Ok first off i see your point they are getting way to much like cod but why wouldnt they? Some days i want to play a huge map and snipe, fly around or blow crap up with a tank. but other days i want to be in non stop action where i get shot at every step i take. Thats the point of these new maps to give people variety COD has no variety. Secondly never compare red faction destruction to BF3. red faction has the most unrealistic destruction i have ever seen. is it fun? YES!!! realistic NO! buildings dont fall apart block by block. and u cant hammer a wall down in real life. oh and some building can stay up with one wall! BF3 is going for detailed destruction. would it be fun to bring down a 10 story building on BF? yes but can an xbox 360 or ps3 handle that no! red faction could do it cuz you were the only one playing and the building were just walls. i am done!
@djpetitte Didn't bother reading the argument but Red Faction does have much more impressive destruction than BF3, that's just a fact
If you had the least knowledge of physics and if you really played Red Faction, you would know that programmed distruction on BF3 is WAY different than destructive environment on Red Faction, which involves real physics math to simulate where the building will fall.
