Beyond: Two Souls - Gamescom Beautiful Drama Trailer
Watch the GamesCom 2013 Trailer in which Academy Award nominees Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe describe the beautiful drama that is Beyond: Two Souls.
Isn't that the girl from The Last of Us? ;)
Wow this game looks amazing, I really do need to invest in a Playstation.
they sure took off with this one , HR was just confined to a city that did not seen very big , but , they manged to keep at least my interest , I really did not feel the need to adventure on long drives to dirt driveways leading to old spooky like houses ! this direction they took here has kept me grasped and somewhat excited so far ...
the multiple endings in HR were purty good I played them all , but , then never played again , I was in HR of a total of around a month or more and I still have it for a rainy day ...
I was thinking why didn't they just do a movie, but then OK movies can't be long enough for this large a story, I'm assuming anyway. So instead, they should have just done a TV series. They would get the story out to a massively larger audience that goes beyond gamers.
Yeah I'm kind of ripping on the game :). I don't know, maybe it will be an awesome game, maybe you'll actively participate rather than just follow along. It's definitely not looking like my style anyway, I don't even know why I posted this I'll probably get bitched at now :).
I hope the Willem gets a LOT of screen time. I also hope the Ellen will drop the whole "The Last of Us" thing, because that really turned me off to her.
hahaha averyone is just geting a mental picture of this "shower scene" to use it later hahaha, but it still looks good this game i wanna playe it already, don´t forget to support this game despite of GTAV come out soon
@superserrano I haven't been disappointed in any of the Quantic Dream games I've played yet. Well. I was disappointed by the second half of Indigo Prophecy but that's because they took a game they had originally planned as a trilogy and shoved the content of two additional games into the back half when there wasn't going to be a sequel. It was nice to have the story have closure but at the same time the pacing suddenly tripled in speed and it was a jumbled mess where not everything could get properly explained. I still have no idea how Lucas managed to come back from the dead.
@Zekethompson22 Whoa, that's a lot of time!
@punksterdaddy Sadly, no Ellen did not play Ellie in the Last Of Us. Although she herself did comment on how much herself and the character looked alike. I thought the same thing to when I first saw the trailers for both games.
@hystavito Haven't you ever watched a movie you've watched before and see the character about to make a bad choice and you know that they're going to do it but you still want them to not do it and go a different way?
With games you can do that. It's the one thing they have up on movies. For now.
You can make those comments about all video games with a decent plot. Studios turn down tons of ideas a year, so it isn't like it is easy to pitch an idea and get it funded.
Btw, they are making more game based movies now for a few games that have gotten popular.
@CieloPerso I hope it's not like Emma Stone's appearance in Sleeping Dogs. Two missions. That's it.
@CieloPerso Best movie I have seen Willem in is The Boondock Saints
@VELZER This will be the last game that I pay money for on the current generation hardware. Anything else will have to be "free" for PS+
I wonder if they will add in nudity. Some actresses are against it but this is not a typical way about it / abou tit.
@AggrandizedUser Ellen Page in the shower...excuse me, I have to go...fantasize about that now.
I actually knew that K1, sorry. I was just kidding because she had complained that Naughty Dog stole her image or at least used it without her permission.
I got trolled by a certain Sony Fan-Boy, for agreeing with her that her image was used unfairly. I think I said something along the lines of...
"They wanted her to play the part of Ellie in The Last of Us, to which she declined and now the character just happens to look almost identical?" Then I went on to add, "I think she is quite right to be annoyed."
My mistake was not reading the comments below, before I made my own post. I had no idea that I would get so much abuse and hatred for agreeing with her. Oh boy, did I get some extreme hate for it!
When I saw that I had a reply in my inbox today, I was dreading to read it because I expected some more of the same, but thankfully it was yourself and was not only mild mannered but sensible too. So thank you. :)
I understand why people love the Playstation, but the blind loyalty baffles me. Not that it is limited to PS3 fans, I got the same level of abuse just last week from the Xbox (or Xbots) because I voiced my opinion on their latest decision to change their "Maketplace," Name.
I just wanted to access my OWN funds from my account, but couldn't due to the latest change in the Marketplace. (The MS points being removed).
Sorry, I just realised how much non interesting info I've been typing here. I had better leave it at that. I just wanted to show my gratitude for you not hurling abuse in my general direction... I have had so much lately and it's getting ridiculous, not to mention boring!
Cheers again for your reply.
@K1L5 @punksterdaddy The original Ellie did. If you look at the early promo stuff and the original trailer. Yeah. For sure. I actually thought "Hey it's that girl from Juno" (since I didn't actually know her name at the time).
But now that I've played through The Last of Us twice I can say she's about as similar now as any two similar looking people. Of course I also am already familiar with the voice actress that did do Ellie's voice so maybe that helped me distinguish the two as separate?
Oh dear, no not at all. You were polite and sensible, which is a rarity on the internet.
I was just explaining as to why I made that comment, when I clearly knew as to who she was.
I suppose you could say that I was experimenting to see if I would receive the same level of "Fan-boy Rabies," as I did before.
I opened my email inbox today, saw a reply to my comment from this story and immediately felt dread with opening it. Thinking that it was going to be more nastiness like last time, but it wasn't... it was you! ;)
Relief is an understatement!
I sadly cannot take credit for the Xbot nickname, I borrowed it from other Gamespot users. It's in the public domain, so no copyright issues etc. >_<
I did however, just create the "Fan-boy Rabies," remark just over two minutes ago. So you can use that one if you like? lol.
I do not own a Playstation 3 but I did have the PS1 and PS2 and I will most likely be getting the PS4, since Sony seem to be about the gamers... NOT TV!
Nice talking with you, seriously. I'm so bored of all the hatred it's about time we all got together and sing "Kum Ba Yah," around the camp-fire?
Okay that's not very likely, but some civility on Gamespot is a good place to start.
All the best to you too mate.
@punksterdaddy @K1L5 I am sorry to hear that you were so mindlessly attacked over nothing, I have no time for being rude, there's no point. Also, if my comment came off as mildly offensive, I only meant it in the kindest way. I also think it was quite weird of Naughty Dog to make a character resemble Ellen, when she is clearly starring in another game.
Also, your nickname for Xbox fanboys is hilarious, I think I will have to start calling them Xbots from now on.
All the best!
