wow i really love the innovation of nintendo even if their graphics is not that powerful. go nintendo.
@KingofHazzard ...True. Aaron says it's a good addition. Darren thinks they made it to LOOK good, with broken concepts. I say it's a oddly balanced out game. Good graphics and decent storyboard, but the new pokemon are boring and cliche. Ice cream cone pokemon? Three recolored Pokemon that are supposed to be different? A pokemon called Golurk??? Nintendo wasted true potential, they missed the goal by an inch. 5/10 rating.
@hunner676 no he didn't die lol. Nintendo put out a tweet or something saying EVERYONE at Nintendo was completely fine and they didn't think the building have damages either.
@Masenkoe @Infamous_Ric - We do have more, there's a whole page dedicated to these interviews. :) http://www.gamespot.com/pages/features/developerseries/index.php
@hunner676 hopefully it was a lie, I also hope the 3DS electronics and supplies will still ship to USA the 27, I hope I don't sound like im bashing the fact people died in Japan and Possibly the Pokemon creator but its just so hard to belive I mean so many things are running through my head
@Seanronnie22 i also heard that, that he died because of the tsunami, but i also saw on serebii.net that it wasn't true. if that realy happened, it wold have been everywhere, i think, so it's probably a hoax.
Should I really say this herei feel i'ds be wrong to say.... but did anyone hear the creator of pokemon died?...:(
@KoopaKorps Dude, not at all! The story elements were much improved. The ending was amazing. The ai was actually a little smarter with their moves. And every pokemon, wild or trained, was original; no zubats or geodudes like every other installment. (Until after getting the national dex)
It took me about a minute and a half to realise that the audio and video were, in fact, not out of sync but that it had been dubbed. Must be time for bed...
great interview, I was interested to see that he liked games like R-type, I always pegged him as a JRPG kinda guy. His mention of Slipknot and marilyn manson was kind of a shock as well :P
Seems adequite enough, though the Pokedex is a bit sloppy and gameplay is a bit impulsive. I think they spent too much time on animation and grpahics rather than working on the important things.
God, that guy is awesome:D And he likes Prodigy as well:) I have a question though. Is this the guy that you can battle in the in the GAME FREAK building?
@Mairusz69 - We have a whole page dedicated to these: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/features/developerseries/index.php I don't think we did one with Peter yet, but we've talked to him quite a few times!
@Sophia Are there more "Behind the Games" interviews? This stuff is GOLD! I liked the questions that were asked. It's cool to see these guys as just regular dudes, and I like especially the Japanese people :) But my #1 request would be Peter Molyneux. :)
@Master-Samwise - Behind the Games is a series featuring the developers, not necessarily their projects, because they aren't allowed to talk about future projects unless they've been announced already.
Great game, but throughout all the pokemon games, this has the hardest Elite Four. I can't beat any of them!
for the first time,, i didn't mind the voice-over. it would have been so much better if they had better questions. I wish if they talked more about the pokemon, like what are their plans for 3DS and stuff like that, not what kind of music he listens to when he's working :(
I can safely say that was one of the best developer interviews I've seen, along with Ted Price from Insomniac. It makes me happy to see people who enjoy what they do, just like Masuda. Brightens up my day!
So this is the guy that made the BAD decisions on Black/White like changing the user interface for worse and removing the following Pokemon?
Random Pokemon facts. Ash's name in Japan is Satoshi, getting his name directly from the creator of Pokemon. Gary's (Ash's rival) name in Japan is Shigeru, named after Shigeru Miyamoto, who is Nintendo's GM. Also the creator of hit's like Mario, Legend of Zelda, Star Fox and just about any character including the game itself Super Smash Bros.
Very good interview, It's always interesting to see the people behind these games and what inspires them.
I made a typo! I meant to put "Masuda" not "Matsuda" I'm sure no one particularly cared, but I felt like it should be addressed! Haha
