you should listen to the music from crysis it's probably his best work yet.but fallout 3 and dragon age soundtracks are also incredible.oh and btw they are also some of the best games i've ever played.
This guy, and Jeremy Soule, composers who work primarily on video games, are epic win... no--no, they compose the music that plays when you experience epic win!
I'm not really in to game composers but this guy is just an inspiration, he creats such beautiful music that makes you wanna just sit there and listen to the music instead of playing the game. people like Inon Zur and Masashi Hamauzu make games what they are today
Good interview with a great composer, who's work I hope we'll all get to enjoy for many years to come.
OMG This guy is awesome. He is pure creativity. He is my inspiration to committing to music. Damn great interview!!!! Thank you gamespot
Two subjects very close to my heart. RPG's and their soundtracks... Mr Zur's work has produced some of those rare pieces that (whether you know it or not at the time) represent SUCH A HUGE element of your gaming experience. His "requiem for humanity" piece for fallout was one of those pieces that would have you crouch behind a rock in the wasteland just to hear it through and not trigger an encounter (thus changing the soundtrack). Jeremy Soule's work on Oblivion was also just as superb an experience. I'll look forward to hearing the finished score for DA2. ... and watching this now? has just decided what I'll be doing with my Sunday! * puts down gamepad... walks into prject studio and boots up Cubase* :) genius
@BlackJakal He did the ambient music that you hear while traveling the wasteland and the battle music.
When Fallout 3 was released I really liked the main theme. When I got to Dragon Age: Origins, I liked its music much. I really had no idea that F3 and DA:O music was made by the same composer until now. It's good to know there are people who create so authentic and lovely music in games. Actually I think that modern game music outperforms music from movies.
