Loved the demo a LOT. Eventually got a handle on the controls, something I really struggled with with TM Black. Bummed the demo timed out-- didn't realize it until it was gone. Never got a chance to try multiplayer, after failing once to connect. Even my son-- who had no interest in the game before the demo-- is now looking forward to it! Only wish it was multi-platform, so I could play it on Xbox live. Oh well.... is it Tuesday yet??
If you dont love this then you just dont know much about great games. This is gonna be EPIC AWESOMENESS. yea I said it.
@ScaredySquirrel Dont bash the controls just yet, TM controls have always been hard to pick up, but they work great once you are used to, in the beggining they seems a little loose and chaotic but they will fit once you mannage to understand them.
Couldn't be more disappointed with the demo, the visuals are sub par ( and that's being kind) the controls are garbage. Too bad, I was looking forward to this one. At least I can thank them for putting out a demo and saving me 60 dollars. The only people who think this is any good are fanboys pure and simple!
Played the demo. Fun as hell. I did have to change the control scheme (so the right analog stick controlled the acceleration and reverse) but after I did the tutorial and played around with it some I got used to them. Definitely will be great online.
A. It's a cinema (or theatre) not a shopping mall. B. It's a hospital, not a helicopter landing pad. C. It's not an antennae.... to be honest I don't know what you would call it.
I've been playing the Demo and it's awesome, lots of fun specially when you destroy those anoying helicopters...cowards...let's play on the ground!!! See you in the batllefield...B"#%$!
Game demo was NOT horrible. The only thing horrible is the matchmaking, which will be fixed for the actual game. Controls are a bit difficult but not bad once you get used to it. Cars are balanced and the game is a lot of fun, very similar to past TM games, which is a plus. Can't wait for the real game.
Game demo was horrible, worth maybe 5 bucks, but not 60... glad i'm not paying for it when it comes out, I'll save my money for fun games like Ninja Gaiden 3, Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City, or Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, or Yakuza Dead Souls.
Can't stand how steering is inverted, when driving backwards. Seems like it shouldn't matter this much, but it's driving me crazy. I wish they'd just add an option to reverse it.
Yeah, I know for a fact that there'll be more cars because I remember seeing some kind of Sweat Tooth transformer in a trailer.
I'm proud of you gamespot. That was a very good tutorial. I found them all out during my 5+ hours with this demo but for someone who hasn't picked it up yet and isn't a veteran this is solid advice. On a side note the matchmaking error happens to everyone but jaffe did say there will be a substantial day one patch for the game. I realize I'm comparing a demo to the actual game but for a game they're pushing online so hard for I imagine it's to hopefully perfect the online play.
the real game has quite a lot of cars not sure how many but laods more than this as codester says its a demo you can't be picky a lot of games don't even give you a demo and this demo even gives you on and offline play with a tutorial I can't wait for this game
@ AlooKy - It's a demo, what else do you expect? Fighting game demos usually only give you 3 or 4 characters to play around with so 6 isn't that bad. I'm sure the real game will have more.
I was hoping this beginners guide would explain how to play online without getting the matchmaking error. Damn. On the plus side this game is awesome!
